Another great car buying experience with Machens Ford in Columbia! I believe my purchase this week of a 2014 Fusion is the 12th Ford that my family and I have purchased from Machens - all from Bruce Mulnix Columbia! I believe my purchase this week of a 2014 Fusion is the 12th Ford that my family and I have purchased from Machens - all from Bruce Mulnix. In addition to the 12 purchases, I have referred 9 others who have purchased a vehicle form one of the Machens dealerships. Bruce is always great to deal with. He works hard to understand what we're looking for and what our accessory preferences are. One thing that Bruce does that has always impressed me is that he's not a "yes man" sales representative. He offers honest and valuable recommendations regarding vehicle accessories and trim levels - I don't recall a time when Bruce ever attempted to up-sell a vehicle or trim package that we didn't need or would not benefit from. Sales Manager, Terry Sells is great and I value his sence of humor that he's able to bring to the negotiations table. Terry is obviously very good at what he does. He will do whatever possible to close the deal without being the type of person that everyone fears when attempting to trade vehicles - you know the stereotype - hair slicked straight back, never makes eye contact, calls your wife Sherry when it's actually Shelley - a real sleaze - that's not Terry. My last comment is in regard to the overall level of customer service and appreciation that my family and I have received from Machens Ford over the years. On several ocassions during our multiple visits to Machens' sales floor either Gary Drewing our his son, Rusty, have taken the time to ask me if I was being helped and getting the level of service I expected. I appreciate the owners of the business takin time to ensure that my needs and expectations are being met - that doesn't occur too often in today's, fast food, non-personal lifestyle. Nate Hart work with us on our purchase and was very attentive to your needs in a new vehicle an matching up some options. He located the vehicles we wanted to to look at quickly. Nate's advice as to purchase of a 2013 vs. 2014 vehicle was "priceless" and saved us thousands of dollars. Once a decision was made, Nate's knowledge of closing the sale and coordinating the paperwork, meeting with Charlie Brown for setting up our Ford Credit and getting the car to the department that preps the car for sale was well done. The Edge did come with a backup warning system, but not a back up camera. Nate quickly worked with the appropriate individual to install the after market edition at a very reasonable price. We LOVE it. The camera shows in the rear view mirror and is crystal clear. Adam Neale started us out with our experience at Machens and certainly put us in touch with one of the best sales associates I have worked with in all my years of purchasing a vehicle. (some 40 years). Certainly recommend this dealership and recommend working with Nate Hart or Adam Neale. More
