They claim to do a certified inspection of the vehicle but they don't fix anything and don't tell you what is broken and they don't even buy you a tank of gas! I guess it is just come in and buy a vehicle but they don't fix anything and don't tell you what is broken and they don't even buy you a tank of gas! I guess it is just come in and buy a vehicle and get out of here! (October 2022) An Update (February 2025) on this vehicle: since October 2022 we paid roughly 24000 for it in March of 2024 was the first of 7 times that the vehicle would be in for service including having all the rear end bearings replaced then transmission wabbled so they changed the fluid and while there heard a lifter knocking so they pulled the valve cover and found a cam retaining bolt was broken so they had to replace the entire head on it. Got it back with an oil leak in the timing cover. Not long after that the vacuum pump went out and tore up the cam so all that had to be replaced then was driving down the road and the transmission would kick out of gear and the doors would unlock so they had to rebuild the transmission was about to get it back and they found out the ECM went bad so took a week to replace it. The other day I went to excelerate onto a local Hwy the nose took a dive and the lifters started screaming until the truck got up to speed and the next day the transmission sounded like it had a wave machine sloshing water around in it! The last year only about 3 months that the truck has not in the shop and the shop couldn't even be bother to call and let me know that they had the truck that was dropped off last Wednesday 6 days ago alet alone tell me what was wrong with it! Now they want to only offer $9500 so it cost a little over a 1000 a month for roughly 14 or 15 months of use out of 26 More
VERY DISCUSTED and DISAPOINTED. I purchased a used Chevy Colorado Saturday afternoon (3 pm) on 18 Jan, 2025. It had 86,700 miles on it. I bought it as is without a dealer warranty. I purchased a used Chevy Colorado Saturday afternoon (3 pm) on 18 Jan, 2025. It had 86,700 miles on it. I bought it as is without a dealer warranty. I put $3000 cash down and they found financing for the rest of the purchase price. On the way home to Tecumseh (about 10-12 miles), the engine light came on and stayed on. When I got home, I immediately called Chad (Salesman) and he said he would discuss the issue with his manager and call me back. Chad called me back a little later and told me to bring the truck in Monday morning and they would get it diagnosed to see what was wrong. I brought the truck in at 7:45 am on Monday to the service department and the service manager told me he knew nothing about me bringing in the truck. He told me I would have to wait on the used car sales manager to sort everything out. I waited until 8:45 am that morning and spoke with Jacob (Used car sales manager). He went and talked to the service department, came back and told me it would be later that afternoon before the service department could get the truck in to diagnose. He gave me a loner car to use while my truck was being worked on. All this time, they gave me the impression they would make things right and I would be taken care of. I asked both Chad and Jacob if they could delete the deal we had and pursue another truck. They both told me something could be done. I was told that the Joe Cooper Dodge dealer had a Chey Colorado that would work out and make everyone happy. I even told them if a truck was more expensive, I was ok with that. I called Chad back a few times to find out the status of the Colorado in the shop. He failed to return my call or said he was out on a test drive and would call me back. He never did. Tuesday came around and Chad and Jacob gave me the cold shoulder and runaround. The kept me on the hook all day with the thought that they would fix the truck and pay for the repairs or we would find another truck and make a deal. I called numerous times trying to get something done. Chad and Jacob just kept pulling my puppet strings and dragging things out. Finally, Tuesday afternoon, Jacob called me and informed me that the Bank had already funded the deal and I was struck with the truck and the bill that comes with it to fix the engine light problem. Here is my thought: I bought the truck on a Saturday afternoon. Monday was a holiday so the bank was closed. Tuesday, the bank funded the purchase. Why couldn't the deal be voided on Monday the Holiday and a new deal struck for a different truck. Why couldn't the just be honest and say "look Buddy, you bought the truck as is , you deal with it" They just kept delaying me because they had to wait until the Ban was open, so they could fund the deal. By the way, it cost me an additional $711 dollars to fix the truck before I could take it home. BEWARE AND DON'T PURCHASE ANY VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER! CHAD IS A xxxx THIEF AND A CHICKEN FOR MAKING JACOB CALL ME . JACOB YOU ARE A WEAK MANAGER FOR NOT PURSUING ANOTHER DEAL OR MAKING THIS ONE RIGHT! More
where to start here bare with me bc this is gonna be a very long review! in October of 2023 I had been saving up for my dream car a H3 Hummer I found one on Facebook marketplace at Joe cooper of Shawnee. very long review! in October of 2023 I had been saving up for my dream car a H3 Hummer I found one on Facebook marketplace at Joe cooper of Shawnee. I went and test drove it and noticed a slight knock, I also asked about the tire pressure sensor that was on. I was really assured that the knock was bc they had just done an oil change and it would smooth out. waited for my title and ended up having to pay late fees bc they didn't do it in a timely matter and refused to give me another temporary tag. i had put every penny in my savings towards this car that I had dreamed of! I noticed the transmission slipping in December.By Jan my car was back at the dealership. I begged for a loaner car for three months and was constantly told that I was on the list and if one became available they would let me know. By the end of Feb, first of March I was beyond upset! they kept putring me off blaming it on the warranty company. i finally went into the dealership upset and they said they would have my car ready by that Thursday, Thursday rolls around it's still not done.Friday I went back in and was told there was a "oil leak" on the pan and it had already been approved by my warranty company. but they didn't wanna keep my car any longer than what they already had and they would put me on the list for a loaner and call me as soon as it was available. by July I still hadn't heard from them, my car was overheating and had no power they told me I was never put on the waiting list. I was beyond mad! I called Daryl Barett and told him every thing that was wrong including them slicing my underglow lights, he re assured me that he would make it right, he said he would get a hold of Jeremy Woods, the GM of that location. jeremy than called me and I explained everything including his employees leaving tools in my exhaust manifold that they said the bolts were broken off in. no response the next day the lady in the office called me and told me to come get the loaner so they could work on my Hummer. They sent me a text of what was wrong with my Hummer and everything said pre approved. Derek and I have Gone rounds and i had asked to NOT deal with him at all. Thirty days in I'm told NOTHING is approved again I fought with them after numerous lies and not returned calls I finally got a hold of Daryl Barret again and this time he had a major attitude with me. Jeremy woods called me and told me I needed to come sign another agreement I went back in and even though Jeremy knew nothing about the oil leak and he would call me back and never did the girl said that my hummer was in the shop being repaired. Another month goes by and again Derek messaged me being very obnoxious saying I needed to return the loaner and they weren't fixing anything other than the transmission dip stick I said what about my lights, what about the manifold, what about the secondary air pump valve they told me none of that was covered by my warranty, and they don't touch under glow! Again I called Jeremy and Darryl again no answer and no call back, you would think that when I'm spending 13 Grand on a car from you you would go to the ball for me and make things happen for you the valve is covered but they didn't wanna work on it! Jeremy said they fixed multiple things and didn't charge me I said what the transmission dip stick that's it!!!! I returned the loaner and was told by Jacob that I needed to get into my hummer and leave and where was the equinox. I showed him, when I got there the vehicle they knew was overheating was left running when I dropped off my hummer it had a full tank when I picked it up it was on empty! Hope they enjoyed running my gas out I hope taking advan of a single mom on disability with Parkinson's makes your heart happy! I'm glad you can afford to sit with your kids and have food to eat! HUGE DISSAPOITMENT do NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY IN THERE POCKETS More
Please believe the reviews here about their sales tactics. I wasted two hours driving to buy a car only to get the old “oh we can’t do that” after seeing my immaculate car. I offered to sell my car b tactics. I wasted two hours driving to buy a car only to get the old “oh we can’t do that” after seeing my immaculate car. I offered to sell my car before picking up the new one so it wouldn’t complicate the offer on their new car. I was told it would be easy to get what I wanted to sell my car for. When I finish the new car deal and ask what the used car salesman is giving me it’s 2k less. They made an easy sell no sell because of their salesmanship. More
This is a very dishonest dealership for anyone that’s interested in purchasing a car. They do not honor TrueCar certificate and claim to have no knowledge of the very website that has their dealership on interested in purchasing a car. I have had bad problems with them years ago but gave them another chance because of some of their people. But once again they have gone down hill. I will not recommend them. They do not call you back. They a another chance because of some of their people. But once again they have gone down hill. I will not recommend them. They do not call you back. They are now ill mannered and do not listen to what may be wrong. They say they are to busy so why give them more business. I no longer feel this is a good place to take your vehicle. Prices are higher then other places but if service and people are good you might pay a little more. I made that mistake and now you don't have good people or service. Learn manners and return phone calls, please. More

We check items such as t The “certification” is described as “a multipoint inspection performed by our expert team right here in our service center. We check items such as tire tread depth, engine performance, battery life”, etc. “Certification” comes with a 3 month “limited” warranty. Less than a week later and I have to buy an almost $300 battery. Batteries, though allegedly part of the rigorous inspection process, are not covered for even a week. They also try to sell you a $7k extended warranty through a company also owned by Joe Cooper, and charge $695 doc fees, among other shenanigans. More
I purchased a 2017 crew cab Chevy on 11/16/2021. 4 days of having it there was a problem starting it. It would delay and then finally start. Call dealership explain the situation drove it there they had it of having it there was a problem starting it. It would delay and then finally start. Call dealership explain the situation drove it there they had it for two days and could not find anything wrong with. Said that everything was fine. Took it back home and still had same issue. I also live 49 miles from there and had to take it back a second time where they had it for three days and said that they could not find again anything wrong with it. I asked them if they started it first thing of a morning and he said yes and started every time with no hesitation. I told him that was strange because ever since we had the truck it it always delayed especially in the morning but yet I was told it started every time with no problem. And I forgot, the first time I took it there one of the service guys told me it sounds like the fuel pump is going out in it. When I told him that one of the service guys said that it sounded like the fuel pump he said that none of his guys would have said that and basically called me a liar!! I got stuck over Christmas at a store because the truck wouldn’t start at all!! Thank goodness that the truck has extended warranty and I bought it certified was able to take it to Bob Moore in Edmond and was told fuel pump is definitely bad!! I will never go back to Joe Cooper Chevrolet in Shawnee. As a matter fact I will not ever purchase another vehicle from any of the Joe Cooper‘s. More
Bought a car a year 1/2 ago and turned out it was a lemon car I did not find out until I got the title in the mail. I went back October 27th of this year thinking they would make things right however I lemon car I did not find out until I got the title in the mail. I went back October 27th of this year thinking they would make things right however I got screwed again I went to trade in the lemon car for another car turns out that was another mistake by me the vehicle I traded for needed a lot of work. Since buying it in October I have had the transmission replaced by this dealership ac line, brakes, tires and alot more. Then recieved my vehicle back from this dealership and they broke the seat so they had to replace that. Since October 27th I have only driven the vehicle 3 days. These mechanics at this dealership are “oil change” only mechanics. I have dealt with many managers at this dealership and including corporate and I will drive to Texas before I buy another vehicle from this dealership again. More
