More grief than the car is worth. Here's the story folks. I had/have a lower credit score, not the worst, but not great. I was contacted by the email sales at Jim Marsh almost a year a Here's the story folks. I had/have a lower credit score, not the worst, but not great. I was contacted by the email sales at Jim Marsh almost a year ago, they said they could help me get into a vehicle. I was looking for a truck at that time, my vehicle was up in miles and was starting to show signs of issues. So, I go there, the internet girl wasn't in as she said she would be. None the less, I talked with Tommy about the situation. After HOURS of looking at vehicles that wouldn't fill my needs, we finally come across a Jeep Patriot. Now, in fairness, this vehicle has features that I liked. 4 wheel drive, seating for 4, and some cargo room (not much though). Anyway, after dealing with the sales pitch for almost 5 hours, I opted to go with this jeep. BAD MISTAKE. After playing with the numbers, and doing the distraction game, I got NOTHING for my truck to speak of, and a mega overpriced vehicle!! I also had a few key issues that finally got resolved AFTER posting to several sites that I was scammed on it.. But, fast forward to now. I still have this Patriot, it runs fine, does it job, BUT I FREAKING HATE IT!! I'm 6' tall, and it's a pain to get in and out of. There's no room in it for anything. The power lacks ability to do much, and I want OUT OF IT.. But, since they financed it with the numbers game, I'm way upside down, and no one wants to deal with it. So, now I've got a vehicle that I think sucks, no one will take it as a trade in, and I'm out of luck. I bought a truck recently, and will be driving that most of the time, the Patriot will end up as a overprice lawn ornament. BUT, I'm talking to people. LOTS of people, even if it's just in line at the store, and I'm telling them all the same thing. DON'T TRUST OR BUY FROM JIM MARSH. I want out of my Patriot, and into something that fits me. NO extra bull. If they want to make it right, fix this issue. Don't play the "we're concerned" game. Tell me what you have, and what I have to pay. They know my credit, they know my payment, all that have to do is make it right.. BUT, I have doubts. Till then, I love to talk. More

No mention of the cons Made an appointment and traveled to them to see a car which was listed on Autotrader for almost $19000. Turned out the car was reeking of tobacco smok Made an appointment and traveled to them to see a car which was listed on Autotrader for almost $19000. Turned out the car was reeking of tobacco smoke which they had tried to conceal with cheap deodorizer strips. Sales manager then GUARANTEED this stink could be removed with an "enzyme machine", but they would only do that if they could do a HARD credit hit first (even though I knew my exact credit score). Obviously they do this to harm the customers credit rating so limit their financing strength if they then go to a competing dealership. I investigated this "enzyme machine" technique further (he probably meant an ozone machine), and it turns out not even the best detailing companies would ever promise they can get rid of smell of this type, using either ozone machines or enzyme sprays. Tobacco smoke creates residue meaning the smell would come back even if it goes away temporarily. I am disappointed Jim Marsh did not list the cons in the ad. So customer, be aware; if you dont discover the cons yourself, you may never know about them. Sure, if my nose wasnt good it wouldnt have been a problem to me personally, although it would still have been a problem for passengers and second hand value. This is the reason why we should buy from private sellers instead - they may not always be honest either, but at least they do not overprice. More

Don't do it, you will regret it! Finally figured out how Jim marsh Kia was able to get my financing through about 2 years ago when I bought my jeep from them.... Not only did they cut my warranty down to 2 years from 3, which they told me upfront about and I was ok with it. But they cut of my gap insurance from the deal. Without informing me or most likely because they didn't know because they had me come in so many times to resign paperwork that they just were oblivious and they had shuffled the paperwork through so many people they just lost sight of it all. Nonetheless, this incompetence on there end and there willingness to do anything possible on there end to get the deal through from there end has left me without gap insurance coverage after my insurance company just declared the jeep a total loss. With all this said and brought forward I urge all friends, family and anyone to NOT purchase any vehicle from this shady dealership ever again! More
