Nightmare My 20 year old daughter purchased her first car from them in August 2018. We live in Alaska so were not able to go help her. She assured us she had it all figured out.......She purchased the car at full sticker price and they talked her into Gap insurance and a service contract. Adding an additional 3,200 on to the car. The lender (Wells Fargo) allowed her to finance the car for more than it even appraised for! Long story short she could not afford the car and working with the lender we found out that the dealership Jim Marsh Kia had to take off the GAP insurance and the Service contract as required by law if requested. Once we requested they refund to the lender we started getting the run around. Krista at Jim Marsh stated that they paid the taxes in WY for the car which was near the value of the GAP and Service contract, of which they could not produce any proof of and I have NEVER heard of before. It has now been 4 months since we requested the refund to the Lender for the GAP and Service Contract and they will not return calls. We are waiting until those are reimbursed by the lender to sell the car at a loss to get her out from under it. Bottom line know what you are doing if you go into that place because they will try to screw you out of every dime you have. This issue is STILL not resolved. My daughter made a mistake by being talked into a car she could not afford. She is taking ownership and not defaulting on the loan but trying to get out of it. It would be nice if Jim Marsh would take some ownership and fulfill their responsibilities as outlined by law. Update Paid back GAP insurance....well part of it still shorted us $85.00. More

GO WITH YOUR EYES OPEN Yes, Why would you come to Jim Marsh Kia? A moment of insanity perhaps? I bought a used 2013 Sonata and I have had nothing but recalls/campaigns o Yes, Why would you come to Jim Marsh Kia? A moment of insanity perhaps? I bought a used 2013 Sonata and I have had nothing but recalls/campaigns on it, and come to find out this year had loads of problems, from engines locking up, to steering problems, etc. I should had suspected, I was about to be taken when they were going to charge me $4,000 more window sticker than vehicle was worth, thank god Bank would not approve it for that high amount, Then they told me how much they had done to the vehicle, etc But later I come to find out loads of recalls were never done on the vehicle while they had it and some were serious, i.e engine may lock up etc, But when I did get it to Hyundai, all they did was some computer stuff and changed the oil, so the warranty on the engine is extended until what 120,000 miles, knowing that it is not will it lock up and leave me stranded, because it will, But when will it happen, So I suggest anyone who buys a used Kia/Hyundai with these motors 2.4 etc check for motor recall then steer clear. I do a lot of driving now I don't feel safe in the vehicle knowing, I may get stranded, and yes, I had to take it in to dealership for another campaign . 2/04/2019 They just wanted to sell a vehicle not caring if it would be reliable, I bet Marsh would not put his daughter in a vehicle like this, and that is the whole thing, all the commercials in world mean nothing if you scamming people and no vehicle on that lot should be sold to no customer if he would not put his own family in the same vehicle, Just be sure you wear your boots when you go in because it will get deep quick... If their mouth is open, you just been lied too and/or misled.. More
