When I was there last, I had new wipers installed, due to hard-rubber-chatter from the original ones. The new wipers had the same annoying chatter due to the rubber not being soft enough. This time, when I was having the 45K mile service, I asked to have them replaced again, and it was done with no charge. Today's service was somewhat extensive, due to tire rotation, cabin air filter change, etc., on top of the oil/filter/fluids change. But the work was finished nearly 30 minutes before the estimated time. I especially like the fact that this dealership runs each car (if requested) through the automatic car wash when it's finished in the service area. It was especially needed today. A modern, comfortable store, with all the comforts one could expect, and more. Very courteous people, and conscientious about their work. I drive 60 miles, much farther than I need to, to get my car serviced, just so I can come to Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo, SC. More
Scheduled “first” service on 2011 Highlander. Quick and courteous service department. All staff members friendly and professional, even those that were not assisting me. I had an appointment at 10:45 for the first oil change on a brand new car. I was told, when I made the appointment, that it should take about 30 minutes for the service. I arrived at 10:20, my vehicle wasn't a brand new car. I was told, when I made the appointment, that it should take about 30 minutes for the service. I arrived at 10:20, my vehicle wasn't ready until 12:50; meanwhile 5 people that got there after me had come and gone. I was then told that there were 76 appointments ahead of me. I find it extremely hard to believe that they had that many appointments, if so I think they are severely over booking. The employees were friendly, but they were either misinformed or out right lying to me. More
I too had an experience with Jim Hudson as the previous reviewer. They do allow you to browse without pouncing on you first thing. I looked at the inventory for approximately 15 minutes and was not bothered. It was only when I began to look for a salesman that one appeared. By that time I had gathered my thoughts and knew which vehicles I wanted to see. No high pressure sales pitches here. No outrageous promises, or a lot of stall tactics here, just honest information and negotiation. Although we did not come together on terms it was not for lack of effort on thier part. This is by far the best car dealer I have ever been to. They were not what we were expecting. When we arrived they took their time to let us look at the cars before approaching us.
