Expensive repairs and unfriendly customer service Had my power steering die on my Escape, so I went in to have it diagnosed. They charged $350 for the diagnostics alone and the fix was going to be any Had my power steering die on my Escape, so I went in to have it diagnosed. They charged $350 for the diagnostics alone and the fix was going to be anywhere from $1500 to $5000 more, so I decided to look for a new car. I looked at cars similar to the Escape, including the newest model of the Escape. The salesman at Ford, Chris Jr.(who is also the son of the manager, by the way), was cordial and friendly while we were there, but we ultimately went with a Honda. A few days later he called to see if we'd be interested in coming in to talk about pricing on a new Escape, so I told him we went with a Honda. He said nothing for about ten seconds, and then said "Oh really?" and hung up on me. That's pretty representative of their customer service. They just want to get your money through pushy tactics, not earn your business through good and fair service. The service center was insanely expensive. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because John at the service center was completely honest and responsive to my questions. Otherwise you're better off avoiding this place. More
Disorganized? Service Department Second and last time bringing our vehicle for service to JH. After scheduling an appointment on their "convenient" online scheduler, including a detail list of issues and service request the car was dropped off on Friday before 9AM. When I dropped it off, 2 gentleman came out and greeted me, told me my "rep" was with another customer, took my name and number and my list. Later that afternoon, I called and waited on hold for almost 15 minutes to finally talk to my rep, Tony. He was not even aware my car was there as it was entered under the fleet company. Needless to say the car was not ready. Tony called the next morning explained that my car would be ready a little later. After 2 on Saturday, I go to get my car and well, we have to order a part. It is now Saturday close to 4PM and the car was returned with some of the issues resolved. We have to reschedule to come back (Not here) to get the rest of the services completed. One of the last and simplest request was to get the vehicle washed and cleaned which JH failed to accomplished. Tony, our service rep. was extremely apologetic and as helpful as he could be, but there seemed to be a lack of communication between the online system and the service reps. I am very busy and it seemed like I had to remember the "list" several times and repeat it. Only to leave with the main purpose (my 50K service) not completed. I have noticed the lack of survey after the service, but perhaps that would increase the attention to detail. Misc: $14.16 Parts: $24.98 Tax: $2.74 LABOR: $166.43 TIME WASTED: Priceless! The worst dealership ever!!!! I took my 650 in for three problems. A vibration at 60 - 65 . A noise from the front suspension . The turning signals stop working . The first time I took it to them they had it for 4 weeks. The service manger would not answer the phone or call and give me updates. Finally he called me and told me the mechanic had26 hrs labor and I owed them 3000.00. They had not fixed any thing and said that was to find the problem. He said that my tires was out of round. They could not find a problem with the turning signals or the suspension . I picked my truck up from them and went straight to the tire store and had 4 tires put on it. It did not fix the problem!! So I called ford and got a case open to see if they could help. I had to take it back to jim hudson because they are the only certified truck store in Columbia . I was told they was going to get right on it by the ford rep and they had a plan of action for the repairs. Needless to say the service manger called me back and said they would need it a additional 2 weeks or longer for repairs and they had no plan of action. At this point I am so up set I called Jim Hudson him self . He was the most unfriendly man I have ever talk to! He told me if I did not like it take my truck some where else. Jim Hudson commercial say "that you want ever for get the experience "!!!!!!! That is so so true I will never buy a ford again or recommend Jim Hudson . So thank you Jim Hudson for showing me how little you do care about your customer!!! P.S. Congrats ford I just canceled my order for 2 new 650 . So ford you can thank Jim Hudson for losing you 220,000.00 dollar sell!!!!!!! More
