Service Department was unsatisfactory. 1. Waiting room Service Department was unsatisfactory. 1. Waiting room is not inviting, looks like crap. No coffee was made that whole morning. 2. The Advisor was complaining that they are always short on mechanic's on the weekends and see as much vehicles as they do during the week. Even told me that management is aware but refuses to do anything about it. 3. A customer went and inquired about her vehicle to my Advisor "Steven Fair" to get a update. She stated that she had a appointment and wanted to know why her vehicle has not been looked at yet. Steven "the Advisor" told her the appointment only gets you in the bay and that is it. She asked for her vehicle and keys, then she left and was mad as xxxx. I came in for a diagnostic on a coolant leak. I was there at 9:10am and my vehicle was pulled right into the bay. It took until over 2hrs just for that and I had to go find Steven Fair to follow up on it. It had been sitting in his computer but never bothered to come tell me in the customer waiting area. He was busy bumping his gums with another employee and laughing while I stood patiently behind her to get a update. 4. Steven "Advisor" tells me I have a crack in my coolant reservoir and that the part is two days out. I ask him if anyone else had the part. He tells me no and that their computers search all local dealers but they can check for after market. I was pissed and knew that that could not be true, so I immediately started calling other dealers and talking with there service Department. It took me 5mins to locate the part at Jim Hudson GMC. As I was on the phone with jim Hudson GMC they just wanted to verify the part number. Steven was back in the parts department with his parts guy scrambling to find the part as if he got caught in a lie about nobody having it in the local area. I tell them, I'm on the phone with Jim Hudson parts and they want to know what the part number is to verify it. They refuse to give it to me, stating that I can't go get it on behalf of their dealership. I told them I'm not and I will go buy the part and bring it back, it's vehicle and they dont tell me what I can and can not do. GMC told me not to worry about it, they will take care of me and they have the part. I told Steven to go get my vehicle and keys, I'll pay the $70 for the diagnostic. Then I told him to cancel my service appointment. I'm no longer coming back here! 5. I will never buy or recommend anyone to this dealership for any reasons. I will say this, JIM HUDSON GMC IS VERY NICE!!!!! My own chevy dealership is garbage compared to JIM HUDSON. Yall should be a xxxx shame of yourselves! More

Not a great experience. My vehicle took 6 weeks to fix for warranty work. Blame was placed on GM strike. The strike ended over 2 months prior to arrival at the shop. Communication was not good and my vehicle still feels like it is not the same as it was before the issue. Will not purchase a vehicle from Stivers nor will I use the service department. They made me feel like they were too big to take care of a customer that didn’t buy from then. Even if I did buy from them I don’t feel like they would try to earn my business. More
I've had a terrible experience with the service department. Im not even going to talk about how hard it is to even speak to someone on the phone to make an appointment. I made an appointment for Fr department. Im not even going to talk about how hard it is to even speak to someone on the phone to make an appointment. I made an appointment for Friday 2/28 for an oil change and diagnostic for error codes on my car. When I dropped my car off, they said they were so overwhelmed with cars that they can't do a diagnostic. I'm thinking, " that's fine,I'll just schedule another appointment just for the diagnostic." They ask me to leave my car there, which doesnt even make since because Volt technicians don't even work on weekends. I make another appointment for Monday 3/2 at 830am. Monday comes and I drop my car off at 8am. 3 o'clock roles around and I havent heard anything. After calling, and being on hold for at least 30 mins, I'm told they havent even looked at my car. What in the world! Not only that, but they ask me to leave my car overnight and pay for a rental. No thank you! What's the point of even making an appointment? And if I do make an appointment, why not say, " we're backed up for a couple of days so you may not get your car back for a few days." Nothing. Now I must catch the shuttle again to Clemson Road to pick up a car that's been sitting for 9 hrs with no one even looking at it. I've wasted time and gas dealing with this dealership with absolutely nothing done to my car, even with a scheduled appointment. Not to mention how maddening being on a 30 min hold for the receptionist to come back and say, nothing had been touched. It took 30 mins to find out nothing. That's a sham. This whole experience is a shams and no consideration is made for people taking time out of their day to have their cars serviced. Then they have the nerve to tell me to rent a car. Seriously? Is the car rental place giving a kickback for all these people using their services because of massively delayed car repairs. At least other dealerships give complementary cars if they miscalculate an appointment or are under staffed, which the receptionist said they were. UGH! I'm not a vocal person and I always skip these survey things but this has been completely absurd. It was such a nice change when I called all of the other Chevy dealers in town and theres actually a person that picks up in a couple of rings. I apologize to those receptionist as I was still heated from my Stivers convo and a sorry ear from the phone being pressed for 35mins. I think I'll be using their services from now on. They actually have automotive and customer service. Stivers has shown neither. More
The sales manager, Mr. Bowers, is the best. I shared concerns with him and he helped tremendously. He answered my questions and listened to concerns I had about the sales process of the car. I even contacted him early on a Saturday morning before he came in to work. He told me what time he would be arriving at work and was there when I arrived. He checked my car out to make sure I was good for the weekend. He has excellent customer service! More
The whole experience was awful! I have purchased a lot of cars but this by far has been the worse. 2.5 months later and I am still trying to get issues resolved.
