Our car buying journey began in October 2023, when we started test driving different models, including the CX90 PHEV at Jim Ellis. Over the next couple of months as we continued comparison shopping, Noel would check in to see if we were still in the market, without being overbearing. December arrived, and we were finally set on leasing the CX90 PHEV, so we requested quotes from different Mazda dealerships over email/text Noel and his manager, Conley, provided detailed quotes with all fees listed, as we requested. I appreciated their willingness to answer all my questions over email/text, such as pricing for gap insurance and whether their F&I department accepted MSDs. Ultimately, Noel and Conley recognized they were dealing with educated buyers, so they presented a competitive offer for us to move forward. Heads up: the dealership won't take deposits to reserve a vehicle already on the lot. To his credit, Noel was upfront about this when we asked during the online negotiations and mentioned there were options to sign electronically, but we preferred to close the deal at the dealership once we were back in town at the end of the month. The car we had originally negotiated on ended up selling before we made it back to the dealership, but after a little back and forth, Noel and Conley were able to honor the same pricing on an alternative option I appreciated Daryl, the GM, coming by to thank me for my business as I was waiting to wrap up the deal. Shout-out to Mia for a quick onboarding process and Rhyan in F&I for running the numbers on a complicated deal!
