Broken seat belt The part my seat belt clipped into broke. I couldn't clasp my seat belt. Kia fixed it fast and had it done the very same day. Great customer service. Poor service after purchase We purchased our 2017 Kia Sportage in May of this year trading in our 2013 Kia that we loved. and NEVER had any issues with. I use the Kia for work as We purchased our 2017 Kia Sportage in May of this year trading in our 2013 Kia that we loved. and NEVER had any issues with. I use the Kia for work as a home hospice nurse so not only do I depend on having reliable transportation, but so do the families of the dying patients I serve daily. After only 4 months of ownership and only 10,000 miles I started having trouble with the Kia. The AC was not working properly, September in GA can be unbearable at times without AC. The AC would blow cold at times then it would blow just air like it was just a fan blowing without the AC. Then on 3 separate occasions while driving down the highway the engine would rev as though it was in neutral and I was giving it gas. The car did not jerk or lurch or speed up it was just a rev'ing sound that lasted a few seconds then quite. I called Cobb County Kia to request service for my "brand new" 2017 Kia only to be informed they would not cover a courtesy vehicle or even a rental vehicle and without knowing what is wrong with my vehicle have no way to tell me how long I will be without one. I explained to the service dept Mgr after waiting on hold 17 mins then having to hang up and call back, my car is my work, without it I can not work. They didn't care! Useless! So I explained I will now have to pay for a rental for an unknown length of time while my "New" vehicle is being diagnosed. I have only bought new vehicles in the last 20 years and this is the first time in over 20 years I have had issues with a vehicle that hasn't even been broken in yet and received terrible service from the dealership who has no desire to work with me so that I am able to continue working. I am now waiting for the general mgr. to return my call but feel certain I will be taking my complaints to the BBB and Consumer Reports. More
