Have been dissatisfied for over a year! Purchased a certified /used work van May 2017. Picked it up and found the glove box wouldn't stay shut. Mentioned it to my salesperson but didn't have time to wait for it to be repaired said I would bring it back. The two weeks that followed were work busy and I found the side door was jumping while closed and sounded like it was about to fall off, and when you closed the front doors with the windows closed the back window would pop open. Contacted my sales agent after those two weeks with my issues to be addressed. He assured me it would be taken care of and put me in touch with service to make the appointment. Upon dropping off I was told that my additionally purchased extended warranty wouldn't over any of these things(warranty was sold to me as" Bumper to bumper, covers everything except brakes and Tires"). I left without any repairs and called my sales agent and finance agent to discuss my dissatisfaction. As it stood none of these preexisting issues would be covered under the "extended warranty". I took the van to repair the window and the glovebox to my friendly mechanic who also found a sensor that was bad(check Engine Light) and replaced and submitted for the extended warranty. It was declined rom warranty also, costing me yet again out of my pocket. My friendly mechanic also took the covering off of the faulty door to find the hinge cracked off of the frame, as it was at purchase. When I followed up with Jim Ellis I was told that because my salesman hadn't made any notations of these items on my sales contract, nothing could be done by them but would all be out of pocket. I asked for information on what my extended warranty covered and have still not received any information. One year later in May 2018 I returned to Jim Ellis for my "free Oil Change" and had a less than favorable service experience. I also asked again about my door and the warranty to be told the warranty that I have paid for regularly and continue to do so was cancelled a month after I bout the vehicle. I was also informed of a recall I had never received a notice for prior to that discussion. I called and spoke with the Service manager that was the most helpful so far to discuss options for my door that has been wrong since day one. Solution was for me to pay $800 of an $1800 fix. For items that should have been taken care of before purchase found during the 172 point inspection they pride themselves on, not to mention an extended warrantee sold as "Bumper to bumper covering all but brakes and tires". Here I am a year later I have had the door fixed for $90 by my friendly mechanic. I am still paying for my extended warrantee that has not been deducted from my finance company final balance. I have contacted the finance company and they have not received any refund from the cancellation. Jim Ellis is shady and unethical. I will never purchase another thing from them and would not recommend them to anyone! More

I'm the type of person that does a thorough investigation on things, so I noticed it wasn't listed on their website. Could this be a new vehicle on the lot?!? Just a couple of days before, I happen to see this same type of SUV pull up at my gym. This was my first introduction to it and it piqued my interest! The lines, how luxurious it looked and how the grill just stood out made me a fan instantly! Not to look like a stalker, I waited for the owner to get out and go in the gym before I walked around it and pressed my face to the window to look in.... Back to the Jim Ellis Chevrolet car lot.... after putting away my iPad, I proceeded to the sales floor. (It was about to start raining too) George Thomas greeted me at the door and I told him I was interested in the Volvo SUV they had on the lot. He wasn't familiar with it (It was new to the lot!!). He went and spoke to his sales manager, Steve Brown, and got the key. As he returned, it started pouring down rain. No test drive today. George and I chatted for a minute as I waited for the rain to slow down. I asked George what was selling price of the SUV. He told me 65k. Definitely out of my price range. I told him my budget was 50k and that we couldn't do business. He gave me his card and escorted me out the door. But before doing so, there was an exchange that transpired between him and Steve. As we were walking out Steve comes trailing behind and asked was I taking it home? I told him only if you sold it to me for 50k. Steve proceeded to tell me that he could only go as low as 56k. I said thanks but no thanks and left the dealership. The very next day, to my surprise, they had listed the SUV online! And they listed it for......... 54k!! Knowing that this was a good deal, I pulled out Georges card and gave him a call. I told him that I recognized what transpired the other day and that I was motivated to buy and still do business with him. He had to go out of town and turned everything over to Steve. I came in on Friday, June 29th. Steve had all the paperwork ready. The SUV was cleaned and detailed. But I still tried to talk Steve down to 50k. Then 52k. He wouldn't budge as I knew he wouldn't. We spoke honestly with each other. He went to his desk and printed out what I already knew about the Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription. Can't blame me for trying, just like I don't blame them for trying to make as much money as they could.... After driving the SUV for the first time and sitting in it, figuring out all the bells and whistles, I was introduced to Dominique Lighten in the finance department. She took great care of me! Beautiful spirit! Outside of the sales team trying to make a large profit off me, it was a "Painless Transaction" Thank you Jim Ellis Chevrolet! More
