This dealership doesn't follow the services recommended in Toyota's Scheduled Maintance Guide. I asked them why and he said it's because this area warrants certain services to be performed sooner (I can a in Toyota's Scheduled Maintance Guide. I asked them why and he said it's because this area warrants certain services to be performed sooner (I can agree with it to an extent, consider heavy stop-and-go traffic). Everytime I take my 2009 vehicle in for service, they aske me to replace the cabin air filter (every 5K miles, rather than the recommended 30K miles). Last time, I asked them show me how dirty the filter was and the shop manager pulled it out. There were leaves on the filter and it was very clear that it wasn't even inspected, but they asked me to replace it. To make matter worse, the filter didn't look "dirty", based on what one of their model "dirty" filter. If anything, it looked much closer to a new filter. I took my car in for the 30K service this week and they asked me to replace the filter, yet again and pay $65 extra on top of the $545 charge for the 30K miles service, which is suppose to include replacement of the filter. The shop rep said they don't perform the service based on what Toyota recommends. The breakout of the bill comes to $134 for parts and almost $350 for labor. $350 to "visually inspect" the car. While I can justify the above but I've two other vehicles and I've never been asked to replace the cabin air filter every 5k mile. Also, the dealership wouldn't admit that the filter wasn't dirty when I had them pull it out and show it to me. It seems to me that they just tack on $65 every time and hope no will ask. More
We were pleased when we found what we thought was a good price on a used minivan (2006) at this dealership. We thought there might be a small noise when we took it for a test drive but phil and ramon assure price on a used minivan (2006) at this dealership. We thought there might be a small noise when we took it for a test drive but phil and ramon assured us it was fine and said we had 72 hours to have it looked at by a mechanic. Well it turns out that the serpentine belt, tensioner pulley and idler assembly all needed to be replaced and that it had been sprayed with belt silencer spray to hide the problem. So we drove from VA to Bethesda to bring it back and have the work done. We saw the salesman spray what looked like windex in an unmarked bottle under the hood while we were there and he told us he was just wetting the belt because it was probably making that noise because it was dry. They refused to give us a loaner car unless we came in before 5 pm which we can't do due to work, so my husband and I both had to drive separate vehicles so we would have a way back. They called us after having their mechanics look over the van and said there was a knick in the serpentine belt which may be contributing to the noise and the power steering pump needed to be replaced. However, they REFUSED to handle both repairs. They would only fix one problem or the other. They also said they would repair the weather stripping on the bottom of the sliding doors because sharp rusty metal is poking through it but then they realized they don't have the needed items in stock so next week we have to drive BACK to Bethesda just for some weather stripping. Once they realized we really did take it to a mechanic to have the van looked at they were short and rude on the phone and consistently talked over us and cut us off when we asked questions about this process. There are so many dealerships in the MD DC VA area, save yourself a major headache and avoid this penny pinching dishonest dealership. As an aside, after the dealership read this review they called us angry that we had written a review. More

The people who work at this dealership really like each other and work very well together. They bent over backwards to give me the best price they could on a 2010 Prius. Ketih Paton, my salesperson, is an incredibly nice guy who has two young children; Patrick Coleman, the manager, is Jim Coleman's son -- who worked his way up from a mechanic, through fiance, to Internet sales -- and is very respected by everyone there; Brian Brooks gave me a 2-3 hour demonstration of all the fantastic features of the new generation Prius, which is much better than the 2004 I had; Tim Duncan, head of finance gave me a great interest rate; Tim's brother, John Duncan, head of the service Blue Team has been the most wonderful auto service person I've ever dealt with, always telling me what I should get done and, more importantly, what I don't need to get done. I recommend this dealership very highly, especially all of the people I have personally worked with. More
The two men who assisted me in purchasing a 2006 Volvo XC70 were simply the nicest and most respectful and friendliest people I have ever had the opportunity to do business with, and I must add that I fee XC70 were simply the nicest and most respectful and friendliest people I have ever had the opportunity to do business with, and I must add that I feel many of the staff at Jim Coleman Toyota must be as nice, friendly and concerned about the customer as Harold and Howard were. It is my hope too that many of my friends and simply neighbors up here in Towson, MD will consider taking the drive down to Bethesda to consider their next car. I genuinely feel that both Howard and Harold were interested in my situation, and how best to help me. My only regret is that I could not afford to pay for the car all at once, but Harold did manage to obtain a good term of repayment for me, and I am grateful for that. More

Jim Coleman Toyota had serviced my cars in the past, but due to timing, etc. I'd never bought from them before. This was by far the best experience out of the five previous purchases! Peter listened to what I wanted and worked to meet my needs. He didn't try to sell me something other than what I wanted, which made the experience a lot easier. His personality and patience were a marvel. I really appreciated his approah. Your other staff were also very professional and positive. And as I waited at times, I watched the others in and out of the showroom. Everyone was pleasant and attentive to customers. They seemed happy and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. This was striking! Congtratulations on a fine sale! I would recommend (and already have recommended) Jim Coleman Toyota! Thank you. More
The sales people at Jim Coleman were very friendly and helpful. There was no hassle at all. They matched the price my friends got from other dealers and gave me additional discounts. Eduardo was an awesome salesman. I was going to purchase from a friends dealership but Eduardo gave us a better deal, did not haggle or hustle us and made the process quick and painless. He did not hide any from a friends dealership but Eduardo gave us a better deal, did not haggle or hustle us and made the process quick and painless. He did not hide anything from us. Basically, fair and honest and did not come off as a typical salesman, just a guy doing his job. More
I was intimated about the car buying experience. However, Harald put my mind at ease and answered every question and concern I had, no matter how big or small, prior to my ever walking into the deal However, Harald put my mind at ease and answered every question and concern I had, no matter how big or small, prior to my ever walking into the dealership. He took the time to alleviate my concerns, find me what I wanted, make the financing available and the whole process painless. When I arrived Keith showed me the cars. He made the most of my time and I was able to find what I wanted and be in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I can honestly say I am now going to be a loyal customer. I recommend Jim Coleman to anyone and if anyone is looking and worried about the experience and anxious about the finance aspect of car buying, PLEASE request Harald Schmidt. I am truly happy and I am loving my Accord! Thanks! More
