I had once vowed, back in 2002, when I bought my first new car from them, that I would NEVER go back, and I didn't, for 10 years. My wife encouraged me to try, just once more, and out of deference to her new car from them, that I would NEVER go back, and I didn't, for 10 years. My wife encouraged me to try, just once more, and out of deference to her, I did. Our experience was the TOTAL opposite of the one we had the first time, thanks to their revamping of their Sales Department "Techniques," and in particular, one of their new, young Sales people, Matt Muradaz. He was FANTASTIC! Our experience with him, and the Dealership, was nothing but effortless and smooth. We actually closed 95% of Deal over the phone, and that included the basic price of vehicle, BEFORE we ever met Matt in person. Something that we've NEVER been able to do in the past. He was very open with us in our phone conversations, and the rest of the negotiations were executed at the Dealership. Matt kept EVERY promise that he made to us during the Phone Conversation, including the elimination of that very "Buyer-detested" session with "the Manager," which never happened. We went over the "plan" before we ever got there, and were pleasantly surprised that Matt kept his word on EVERYTHING that he promised us over the phone. He has since responded to all of our calls, and consistently makes EVERY attempt to respond to any of our questions. What he doesn't know outright, he investigates, and calls us back with the responses. Matt, single-handedly, has restored our confidence in Coleman's, and was the person who rekindled our connection with that Dealership. We went to two other Dealers before Coleman's, and were just as impressed with them, but Matt "sealed the deal." His personality, and integrity are what kept us from going somewhere else. Believe me when I say that, "We were READY to walk," but that wasn't necessary. He's a KEEPER, in our book at least. At this point, we would HIGHLY recommend Matt and Coleman's Toyota to anyone who is looking for a great deal at a great price, as long as the latter is within reason. Remember that, "Negotiations" require a reasonable "give and take," between parties. Dealerships, and their Salespeople are entitled to make a "living" as well. Remember to do your "Home Work" BEFORE you go to ANY Dealership. More
Emailed this dealership today regarding a used Camry, requesting their "best" out the door price.. I like to gauge how willing a dealership will be towards a deal if I do not need a test drive or convinc requesting their "best" out the door price.. I like to gauge how willing a dealership will be towards a deal if I do not need a test drive or convincing to purchase the vehicle.. cut the games and let me know what deal we can agree to already! However - the "internet sales rep - Peter Lee" gave me the usual asking price + all the fluffy taxes and fees.. which I am used to dealing with when it comes to emailing dealerships. So, I usually recon one more time to see if they would be serious and actually work with me over email since the dealership is located in MD and I am in NoVA, and as well all know commuting can be painful to just waste time sitting inside a dealership and playing the back and forth game for who knows how long. So, Peter Lee the sales rep decides to chime back stating that I have emailed in the past and nothing ever came of it, in essence coming across like I was wasting his time due to the fact I like to ask questions and get somewhere before physically showing up to a dealership nearly 40 miles away... He told me I would have to come in and take a look at the car I had a couple questions on... He does not get the business and need to stop communicating with potential internet customers! About 2 years ago I was dealing with a Jim Colman rep about a recently traded in car with no online pictures as the time that eventually after some pictures were sent was lowered, which of course made me uncomfortable (Corvettes are already low!), and decided to not pursue any further.. thus my email address was record in their database and I'm sure notes were placed in that I bailed on the actual helpful salesmen trying to sell me a car.. but in the end I wasn't wanting a modified height car... THIS ACTUALLY SAVED ME TIME FROM WASTING AWAY AT THE DEALERSHIP!!! GO figure! Jim Coleman Toyota - you once again disappoint me and will not earn my business yet again. I was ready buy... and still am.. but not at your crooked dealership! Thanks for nothing! Joe More
I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Jim Coleman Toyota, in Bethesda, Maryland. I purchased a Prius V from them and they quoted me the lowest price in February and I could not find a lower price in Toyota, in Bethesda, Maryland. I purchased a Prius V from them and they quoted me the lowest price in February and I could not find a lower price in the area. Malcolm Bivins was my sales consultant and he never went back on his word. Even when I asked for a trunk liner to be thrown in and Toyota didn't make one, they reimbursed me for one that I bought online. Amazing service! More

I was more of a "Buy Here, Pay Here" customer in the past of other places. Before arriving to the dealership, I had been dealing with Harald via email and telephone. I let him know my situation with my old car, and my budget. He told me to come look around and they will take care of me and get a reliable vehicle for me and my family. I thought to myself "There's no way he's seen my credit"... But he did!!! I also told him I didnt have a lot of money to put down and I didnt want to waste his time. He told me not to worry and it will work out. When I arrived, I met Daniel who was extremely professional, genuine, and customer-friendly! Daniel sat me and my dad down and asked me what type of monthly payment was I going for. I told Daniel that I didnt want to pay too much and that my budget was very tight at the moment. He said, UNDERSTANDABLE and let me know that I was going to be looking at the Toyota Corollas. I was more in the neighborhood of an SUV but I had an open mind. Dan walked us out to a beautiful dark grey 2010 Corolla with only 14k miles and enough space for me, my husband and the kids! The trunk was huge! At first, I was still iffy about the monthly payment and that's when I met Harald face to face. Harald explained how good the car was on gas, very low maintenance, and shared his own experiences with his own Toyota. He was very upfront about the price, down payment, and my monthly payments. I never felt pressured into buying this car and never felt like I was being swindled into something I didn't want. Both Dan-the-Man and Harald were awesome in answering ALL of my questions and concerns, as well as any doubts I had about my payments. Harald worked with me and was VERY flexible in my decisions and worked with me to make me happy in my new car!!!! For that, I appreciate all they did for me. The two gentlemen were very genuine, and personable and I will definately refer my friends, co-workers, and family to Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethesda, Md. I will also be returning to the same dealership when I need to do a trade-in. I can't say enough about the two but that if I was having a BBQ that day, they would be invited... =) My whole car-buying experience was such an easy process that I arrived at the dealership at 1pm and was out by 3:30pm, and what's funny is that the longest time was spent on the phone with Geico, adding this car to my insurance!! lol. THANK YOU BOTH FOR BEING HONEST, THOUGHTFUL, UNDERSTANDING, AND HAVING A VERY POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS ME AND MY SITUATION. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN THE FUTURE!!! Sincerely - A very happy Toyota customer!! I.M. More
I have purchased several of my vehicles through Jim Coleman. I have dealt with many kind superior and efficient sales people as well as the finance manager who I deal with ever time Harald. I have ev Coleman. I have dealt with many kind superior and efficient sales people as well as the finance manager who I deal with ever time Harald. I have even had my friend come to purchase an SUV as well. In all the dealerships I have ever dealt with this one has gar outshinned all the rest. My time is money and I hate to sit in dealerships but, as I am always promised over the phone by Harald and the sales people they aleays come through as promised. Harald is a no-nonsense get to it and hurry up with no xx involved type of person and in my world that speaks volumes! Whenever I have had an issue they were quick to jump on it as well as Harald who for a finance manager is always available at the drop of a dime no matter what and that is impressive. My recent purchase caught me off guard when I caught a glimpse of the vehicle on the website to my suprise the owners brother had it in his possession where the dealership was more than happy to call him to retrieve it and it was not 5 minutes later that he arrived and what a person to meet!! Gleefully he stated how much he did not want to loose the vehicle to me but, was overjoyed to bring it back. They stated he was driving it for some weeks but, when I test drived it I had to tell them they were liars because it was so pristine on the inside and sparkling on the outside I was floored!! There just simply isnt any customer service like that anywhere on earth.... You can trust this dealership I am a perfectionist myself and I was skeptical of course at first but, I have been going back for years!! More

Dan was a great help when I was purchasing my vehicle. He recognized that this was my first time buying a car and was very patient with all of the questions and concerns that I had. He also made sure that I recognized that this was my first time buying a car and was very patient with all of the questions and concerns that I had. Those other places were not helpful in the least, and left us feeling disrespected and tricked. Did they act all buddy buddy? Sure, but they didn't keep their word about the purchase. They were pure bait and switch. We were jaded by the time we came to Jim Coleman. We were pleasantly surprised. Harald, Daniel and everyone at Jim Coleman Toyota were nice from the inside out; they don't wear friendliness like a costume, it was genuine respect. We spent a good deal of time discussing our circumstances and options with Harald (as we had done before) over the phone, email and text before going in. We were stunned by how honest and forthcoming finance manager Harald was; and our salesman Daniel was knowledgeable, extremely professional and courteous at all times. Even while we were waiting for the car to be detailed prior to taking possession, Daniel generously satisfied my children's curiosity about the electric cars and Scion iQ, although they were quite out of our price range. Harald and Daniel stuck by the original bargain and didn't try to find any last minute excuses for substantial increases to our monthly payment or embarrass us into a deal we knew we couldn't afford. No one tried any scam like "the payments are high now, but after 6 months, you can refinance." By the way, has any credit-challenged car buyer ever succeeded in getting that mythical refi? If it's not in the written contract, the lender has no obligation or incentive to do it. Every person we dealt with or even glimpsed at Jim Coleman Toyota clearly demonstrated commitment to service as well. I have found an ethical used car dealer, against all hope and stereotype, and I will tell everyone I can how great they were. My family and I will never go anywhere else. More
