Jim Coleman Toyota is a 3rd generation family owned dealership founded in 1987. The Coleman family has been selling and servicing cars in the Washington Metropolitan and Bethesda areas since the 1950s. Mr. Bill Coleman, the founder of Coleman Automotive, had a vision of establishing a dealership with a higher level of class and a superior level of service. He believed that Bethesda residents and Washingtonians alike possessed higher expectations of retailers and he was ahead of his time in striving to deliver a uniquely customer focused car buying experience. That tradition which established its roots at the original Coleman Cadillac in downtown Bethesda was further cultivated and expanded on by Mr. Coleman’s son Jim Coleman. Jim grew the business with the acquisition of the Toyota dealership and 6 other franchises in 3 locations over the past 30 years. In 2008 Jim was joined by his son Patrick Coleman who is currently the General Manager of the Jim Coleman Toyota. We here at Jim Coleman Toyota along with the Coleman family remain committed to providing our customers with an exceptional car shopping, buying, and servicing experience. The Consumer Reports Build & Buy program guided me to Jim Coleman Toyota and Peter Lee. Peter is one of the most personable salesmen I have encountered. He spent lots of time explaining the car's many features and controls (valuable information, since the 2004 car I was trading in was pretty basic). All things considered, Peter made this a far more pleasant experience than I expected. Three weeks later I dropped into the dealership to pick up my new tags. Peter saw me and greeted me by name without a second's hesitation. That kind of personal attention is really rare these days. More

Peter and Patrick again came through on a quick sale deal matching all competitors without any ifs and buts. 30 min to paper signing from start of deal. Great financing rates , competing with lowest in the market shows that they are in it for the best experience from the car price to the financing deal. I did not even know the manufacturer had a especial financing rate on the car model I chose. They offered it to me after all the prices were verified. I was ready to go to the Credit Union offering great rates, but they virtually matched the rate deal. The wide selection of cars and colors helped my wife and I choose the color we liked. We did a test drive, she went to an 1 hour massage at a spa nearby, we did all the paper work and then I went to pick her up and upon return the car was ready to go with a full tank of gas. There is a lady that tries to sell aftermarket stuff. I usually tell her I don't want anything and she just politely schedules me for the first free oil change given by Toyota on their free maintenance program for 2 years. More

I'd visited two other Toyota dealers and wasn't excited about the sales experience - even though I knew exactly what I wanted.
