My wife and I were very pleased with our buying experience at Jim Coleman Honda, specifically with TJ Vamos. Even though he has been with the dealership for only a few months I was impressed with experience at Jim Coleman Honda, specifically with TJ Vamos. Even though he has been with the dealership for only a few months I was impressed with his knowledge of Honda vehicles as well as his knowledge of the competition. For questions he didn't know, such as whether the CR-V had an interfering engine or non-interfering engine with regards to the timing chain, TJ sought out the answers for me. TJ also recognized that I had done significant research before I had committed to buying a car over Memorial Day and made our buying decision as easy as possible during this busy time at the dealership. I am a little surprised at some of the bad reviews from some reviewers after having such a good experience. Discussions with other employees were also pleasant and effective. We got the financing we wanted in less than 30 minutes. We will be coming back again after such an easy experience, and we got a great price to boot. More
We purchased our Honda Pilot at Coleman Honda 7 years ago and had a great experience both with the buying process and subsequent service. When our daughter decided to buy a new car, we encouraged her to buy and had a great experience both with the buying process and subsequent service. When our daughter decided to buy a new car, we encouraged her to buy a Honda and to go to Coleman's. She looked at several dealerships in three states and finally went to Coleman's last weekend prepared for a difficult time. My husband and I went along to lend support. But as soon as we started working with TJ Vamos, we all relaxed and actually enjoyed the experience. TJ was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and a great listener. There was no manipulation or typical car dealer pushiness. We left without making a deal because our daughter really needed to review her finances before taking the next step. TJ followed up a few days later to let her know the color she wanted was available but that was all. We returned today and TJ gave our daughter a great deal on a Civic. She is thrilled and it was wonderful that her first buying experience was so positive. We had such a great time and the deal was so amazing that my husband is considering a new car now! If we move in that direction, we'll go back to Coleman's and work with TJ again. Gail PS - I really am a consumer and don't work for Honda. And, no, I'm not TJ's mom! Just a very satisfied customer. I am a second time buyer from Jim Coleman and I recently purchased a new 2012 Honda Civic. Everyone involved in my car buying experience was professional, courteous, and friendly. I also got a pretty good p purchased a new 2012 Honda Civic. Everyone involved in my car buying experience was professional, courteous, and friendly. I also got a pretty good price for my trade in, especially since it needed a lot of work. My previous vehicle was 11 years old and was also serviced at Jim Coleman on a regular basis. Their customer service is top notch and they do an outstanding job of taking care of your car. More
I was very happy with my experience at Jim Coleman. My biggest concern was that they wouldn't have the car I was looking for based on the price I was quoted on carsdirect.com. I was given the car with th biggest concern was that they wouldn't have the car I was looking for based on the price I was quoted on carsdirect.com. I was given the car with the options I wanted for the exact price that was quoted. My salesman was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to explain everything to me. If I had to list some negatives, I had to wait about an hour to meet with the finance department and I thought they were a little aggressive in pushing the options. Overall, though, it was a very positive experience. More

I have to say I was very worried about the car buying expierence. This was my second time buying a new car and the first time I bought (in another state) it was a less then satisfactory experience. Howev expierence. This was my second time buying a new car and the first time I bought (in another state) it was a less then satisfactory experience. However, when I walked into Jim Coleman it was like a breath of fresh air, very warm, open and inviting. I was met by the sales manager michele who made me feel comfortable with her warm smile. I explained my situation and she listened !!! I drove away not only with a new car but a great feeling. She even called me the next day to see how everything was. Jim Coleman changed my perspective. I recommend this great buying expierence to ALL !! Jane More
We'll start with the salesman who literally screamed at me in front of other customers as I was leaving the store because I didnt buy a car from him. He said I was a "bad customer", and "dont ever come ba me in front of other customers as I was leaving the store because I didnt buy a car from him. He said I was a "bad customer", and "dont ever come back here", and that I "wasted their time." The Manager was condescending, kept calling me "buddy" even though my name was on 10 sheets of paper in front of him. After the salesman yelled at me, the manager had the audacity to try to lower the price of the car and continued to try and sell it to me. This place is awful. They actually post their mission statement on the wall that reads, "It is our stated policy to treat every visitor to our dealership as an honored guest in our home everyday, every time, without fail, no exceptions." What a joke. This place has zero professionalism and zero credibility. The people I dealt with were so bad I couldn't embarrass them by calling them out by name. They know who they are. Do yourself a favor-- Don't come here. More
Worst dealer I ever seen. Their sales general manager gave me x price but during signing contract they gave me y price. They completely break customer trust. I wouldn't recommendate anybody to purchase v gave me x price but during signing contract they gave me y price. They completely break customer trust. I wouldn't recommendate anybody to purchase vehicle from this dealer and if you really wan't to buy then be careful. More
If I had visited this site prior to spending 3.5 HOURS there last night on an internet quote I wouldn't have ruined my night. It was exactly the same as "stinkeroo" at 12/20 said. They claimed the car we there last night on an internet quote I wouldn't have ruined my night. It was exactly the same as "stinkeroo" at 12/20 said. They claimed the car we test drove yesterday was out of stock. Mind you, it is December 2011 and we were looking to purchase a 2012 Odyssey Touring. So they priced us for a Touring Elite which I would have been fine with if they had not deceived us to have us waste an additional 45 minutes after attempting to leave. Prior to going to Jim Coleman Honda I called to have them agree on the number we discussed after yesterday's test drive. They told me they needed to look at our car again to see if they could get more on our trade-in (I highly doubt this and in fact did not see anyone reinspect our car the whole 3.5 hours we were there last night.) After 2.75 hours in the dealership, we were all set to leave and were in fact in the parking lot when the sales guy comes running out to tell us he would meet our number. Supposedly the sales manager had "called his GM." So we go back in and start filling out paperwork but they conveniently wrote the wrong numbers for an additional $500 to the price. After noticing and mentioning to the salesman, he of course goes and talks to his manager again (they waste a lot of your time doing this--very old school car sales, I'm surprised they even have an internet sales team and they might be better off getting rid of them so they don't anger internet buyers.) The salesman even comes back and says "come on, its $8 a month if you finance at 60 months." I'm sorry, it is $500. If my sales person at Best Buy or any other store made a mistake on a receipt (this was not a mistake at Jim Coleman since the sales manager later confirmed by his reaction that it wasnt) and then tried to get me to accept it by saying what he said,no one would accept that. It is still $500 and I am not in the habit of giving money away and especially to car dealerships. We left (again, after our first attempt before they tried to slip an additional $500 on to the paperwork.) I would never shop there again after this and would gladly tell all my friends and family in the area not to buy there even though my other car was from another Jim Coleman dealership. This experience was that bad. More
Beware of internet reviews, as the salesmen at this dealer will post fake ones. Notice how many reviews skyline the name of their salesman in glowing terms. Here's the real deal on Jim Coleman Hond dealer will post fake ones. Notice how many reviews skyline the name of their salesman in glowing terms. Here's the real deal on Jim Coleman Honda. They gave me an internet quote on a new car that was quite good. When I went in, I was told that the 'base model' was not available anywhere in the mid-atlantic region. LIE. Then came the upsell and add-ons and a price tag that was RIDICULOUS. After I declined and offered a resonable price, I experienced the classic HIGH PRESSURE, BULLYING, BS that makes us all hate car salesmen. Finally came the CONDESCENDING 'closer'. When it was obvious I would not be pressured into a 'deal', he became ARROGANT AND INSULTING. This place is a craphole and should be avoided. More
