Upon return, he had numerous meetings so couldn't get to the dealership quickly enough. Dealership constantly called me to pressure me to just come in and sign the papers, etc. By Tuesday, although I had told Scott that we would definitely be taking the car and he agreed that it would be ok if we didn't get there til Thursday or Friday, John called me that evening to tell me he sold the car to someone else and was sending my check back!!! WOW is all I can say! Guess it's all about the money and not about the customer! In the end, I'm actually glad it worked out this way as I wasn't getting very good vibes from dealing with them from the start! Just read on and you will probably see why. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE ... no matter how good the deal MAY seem ... very low-class operation! More
A split review because things were going well with James Artis, the salesman. He is knowledgeable, thorough and dedicated. I see from other reviews this isn't the first time either. There are many strong positive comments about James as a salesperson and I wholeheartedly agree. My problem came from the next level up, the manager, Michele Mathsen. She was rude, pushy and only saw dollar signs. She used the same sale pressure most people have come to realize they don't have to put up with. In the end we were so turned off by her approach, we brought our business to a different dealership and i would recommend you consider doing the same. If you decide you have to work with this dealership then call James Artis and ask to be reassigned to a different manager if you get Michele. More
Did not know this website before. I bought a Honda Pilot from Victor in June of 2010. He was super professional, very patient, and very helpful. It really surprised me and my wife how much he knew about the car (although he probably was supposed to know, but he was really knowledgeable) and it was so nice of him to explain every single detail to us and answer all the questions we had for him. At the financing department, sorry I forgot the gentleman's name, but he was very honest and explained to us what would be the best for us. We definitely think we got the best deal, both price of the car and financing (we financed the full amount at the lowest APR then, 1.9% for 3 years, of course it is 0.9% now. We did not put down even a penny.). I have been back to Jim Coleman Honda a couple times for service, and a gentleman named Cliff treated me very well. He was honest and patient. I would definitely recommend Jim Coleman Honda to everyone I know, for both purchasing and service. More
They sold me a 2001 Honda CR-V with 4 bad tires. Explain to me how 4 tires can go bald and leaking air horribly within a month. They told me I am irresponsible and took no responsibility. This place is such a ripoff. My girlfriend bought a brand new Honda Pilot EX-L from them and she's had nothing but problems with them, also. Their customer service is total crap and they only care about what happens up until you buy the car. Once the vehicle is sold, they stop right there and target the next sucker. Stay away from this place at all costs. More
I contacted Jim Coleman Honda via the internet and had all my inital questions answered quickly. Apparently, they randomly assign customers to one of their specialists on the internet team, so I lucked ou all my inital questions answered quickly. He was knowledgable, patient, and honest. We easily got to an agreeable price and I got the Honda I wanted. He was even great after the sale and made sure I understood all the fuctions and what I needed to know about the car. I highly recommend everyone to contact Jackie specifically for their Honda needs. I saw him again at the Customer Appreciation Night (which was nice) and he again made sure all my needs were taken care of. Best car buying experience you could hope for! More

I started my research process by visiting a couple of local dealership in Ellicott City and Laurel. One dealership in Laurel treated me with very little regard and started only talking to my male friend as soon as he joined me in the showroom. This was infuriating since I was buying the car not him. I decided to go with Jim Coleman since Kean always treated me with respect and didn't pressure me to buy. Kean answered all my questions and explained all the options the car had to offer. After my long test drive on back roads and highway, I explain I was not in the rush to buy and still never felt any pressure to buy right away from Kean. I contacted several dealerships by email and negotiated out the door price for my new Honda Civic LX. I brought in my best price from another dealer to Jim Coleman. They beat that price by $100 and still gave me the low .9% APR instead of dealer cash back. Richmond explained every part of the financing and exactly what I was signing, so there was no confusion. Kean and Richmond made my car buying experience easy and hassle free. I would highly recommend my sale representative to anyone in the market looking to buy a new car. My only issue with the dealership was waiting for the finance department since they were all next door at the Jaguar dealership, but they lent us a car so we could go get some food and run a quick errand and called me when they were ready. We had received a better price elsewhere and Jim Coleman was able to match our price. James was very professional and knowledgeable about the vehicles and helped us without being pushy or trying to pressure us into anything. He stayed extra hours to help us with paperwork and to try and get us the vehicle we wanted. We would definitely recommend anyone in need of a Honda to ask to work with James. He was a pleasure to deal with and we wouldn’t hesitate going back to him for future needs. More

My wife and I recently experienced some financial setbacks which of course gave us less than perfect credit. Well the salesman who actually got me to come to the dealership made us ready to leave in 5 minutes but then we were turned over to Johnny. Johnny made us feel like we were his most important customer ever. He was patient in showing every single car we were interested in until we found the one suitable for our needs. Johnny answered every single question we had made no unkept promises and most importantly didnt lie to us about a thing.We were so impressed on how he represented the dealership and himself that we talked about it during our drive home. I am so impressed with him and this dealership that i intend to add them to my own business website as the exclusive dealership referral from us. This salesperson was o.k until I took a test drive and we were working on the price. When I said the price is not what I am looking for so I nedd more time to make a decision he literally snapped at me and were working on the price.
