I went to this dealership on weekend with a written quote from one of dealership's internet salesman. After driving a car we went to talk the price. When I produced the numbers off the quote I received, the from one of dealership's internet salesman. After driving a car we went to talk the price. When I produced the numbers off the quote I received, the salesman refused to accept it. Guess what? I stood up and left. Next day I received an email from the internet manager who quoted me on the car, I told him about my experience and intent not to do business with them. He apologized profusely and sent me another written quote with written guarantees that he will honor the deal. I regret that I believed him! I came back after work and to my surprise or lack thereof he said that he mistakenly quoted me on the wrong trim and started hassling me for an extra $1000.00 for the trim I wanted. I immediately left and purchased a car at another dealership (O'Donnell Honda) that not only honored his quote but offered me an additional discount. So if one wants to save him/herself from aggravation and waste of time, avoid this dealership at all costs. They would not even honor their own WRITTEN promises, never mind the verbal ones. All it looks like is they offer you a price that looks too good to be true, and once you on the dealership, they start their "I am sorry, I made a mistake" game and hassle you to pay extra. And after all, having all my contact info he did not even have a gut to apologize! More

We had a great experience with Kean Thompson at Jim Coleman Honda. The only problem we had was that Kean told us more than once that we would get a full tank of gas and 3 oil changes, and those oil cha Coleman Honda. The only problem we had was that Kean told us more than once that we would get a full tank of gas and 3 oil changes, and those oil changes changed to 1, and the manager on duty only gave him enough money to put 1/4 tank in our car. It was late and not worth the hassle, so we accepted it and left. This was more reflective of the management than the salesperson, we thought. More
My recent purchase at Jim Coleman Honda was one of the most unpleasant car buying experiences I have ever had. Initially, I was pleased with the process. Salesperson Sam Chads was kind, courteous and he most unpleasant car buying experiences I have ever had. Initially, I was pleased with the process. Salesperson Sam Chads was kind, courteous and helpful. It was dealing with the Sales Manager and the GM that has solidified my vow to never return. Sales Manager, Anthony Albury was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. When, I requested follow-up from GM Kevin Cohan my calls were unreturned. I understand their positions keep them busy, but there is no excuse for abysmal customer service. Car purchasing encompasses the entire experience, from walking into the dealership through driving off the lot with the vehicle and returning for car servicing. This dealership has no concept of customer service. In my opinion, Jim Coleman Honda does not respect and honor their customers. Repeat sales and referrals must not be important to this dealership. I will tell all family, friends and colleagues to avoid Jim Coleman Honda. More
I think the dealership staff was fine and the used car manager was great. However, the pricing policy with the dealership is deceptive with their bait and switch model. I looked at a car that was priced a manager was great. However, the pricing policy with the dealership is deceptive with their bait and switch model. I looked at a car that was priced aggressively online and when I called a sales person and spoke to a manager they admitted that there was a $995 reconditioning fee on the car in addition to the $200 dealer processing fee. The dealer processing fee, I understand since most charge it (even though they shouldn't). But a thousand dollars on top of the price you are paying to recondition a car? If a dealer is selling the car, by law it has to be inspected, etc. So why on earth are they charging a fee on top of their price for it? It just seems like fluff to me and a way to add profit to their sales on top of the pricing by slipping in a fee. I was not happy with the dealership and will never consider them for a new or used car. More
We got an internet quote for a honda pilot EX-L from Jim Coleman on Saturday May 25, 2013. We arrived a Jim Coleman about 11 am . We took a test drive and moved our gear that we we be traveling with from Coleman on Saturday May 25, 2013. We arrived a Jim Coleman about 11 am . We took a test drive and moved our gear that we we be traveling with from our Caravan to the Pilot to make sure it would fit. Next around 12:15pm we were ready to purchase. There seemed to be a problem with them honoring their internet quote, even though I had printed it out and brought it with me. We were left for 20 minutes at a time with each question we had about the differences in the EX and EX-L models features and prices. We were then told we could have the lesser model EX for the internet quoted amount for the EX-L. Then they tried to tack on $129 charge for nitrogen in the tires. On top of that they tacked on an appearance package for $695. They were very vague about what the appearance package was. A $ 695 dollar pinstripe? It did not matter wanted neither, but was told I had to accept them as part of the deal. At this point we still were not given the internet price we brought in. Long story even longer-We walked out of the dealership at 3:30 PM. Four hours later without accomplishing anything but frustration a loss of our precious time. Why would we ever want to buy a car from someone that treated us like this? We should have walked out the minute they balked at honoring their internet price. Unless you like playing these kinds of game with car dealers, stay away from this place! There are some dealers out there who don't play these games. We finally found one in Westminster and made a hassle free deal way better than Jim Colemans and without all the headaches. More
I had a great experience purchasing a 2013 Honda Accord from Sam Chad at Jim Coleman Honda. Sam's quote was the cheapest quote from the six dealers I solicited, $300 better than 2nd best quote and signifi from Sam Chad at Jim Coleman Honda. Sam's quote was the cheapest quote from the six dealers I solicited, $300 better than 2nd best quote and significantly better than the remaining quotes. During the quote solicitation process, one dealer doubted the feasibility of Sam's quote, claiming no dealer could turn a profit with such a quote. Sam was aided by the low dealer processing fee at Jim Coleman Honda, which is $200 to $300 cheaper than nearby Honda dealers. Sam and I came to an agreement on model, specs, color, and price on late Thursday evening. For various logistical reasons, the only time I could purchase the car was on early Saturday afternoon. At the time of our agreement (Thursday evening), the dealership did not have the model and color that I sought. So on Friday afternoon, Sam drove to another Honda dealership in Bowie Maryland to pick the car and transfer it back to Jim Coleman Honda. Google maps indicates this is a 64 mile round trip that takes and hour and twenty minutes. This doesn't take into effect the busy traffic on a Friday afternoon. I bought the car early Saturday afternoon. The purchase process went smoothly. The car was ready when I arrived. The dealership honored the price quote. Sam was courteous, patient, and professional. He answered all my questions and has continued to answer my questions via email in the subsequent week after purchase. He also transferred all my radio settings from my other car and setup my blue tooth phone connections. More
One of the worst Honda dealer in Maryland. Be warned! We went to this dealership since they promised they will beat the price which we got from Anderson Honda. Worst decision ever, when we got there, we've went to this dealership since they promised they will beat the price which we got from Anderson Honda. Worst decision ever, when we got there, we've met with Alex Chan and his manager George Bowie and they pulled a bad cop-good cop circus act in which they insisted the price we got was a price mistake. We walked out and the last offer was around $100 more than the price they promised that they are going to beat. The day we are to buy the car, I gave Alex Chan a call, since they are the closest honda dealership to us, I told them if we go there now we want to close the deal even though they are around $100 higher. He agreed but he acted stupid and made us feel like we owe something to him since he agreed. Finally we decided to purchase the car from Anderson Honda even though Alex Chan finally said if we come in, he is gonna match the price and no more games. We finally decided to go with Anderson Honda and transaction went smoothly. The lesson here is if you are looking for a car, please don't forget that yes you are buying a product but you are also buying their service which is the way the dealer treats you. When George Bowie was playing the bad cop role (being rude), we promised to give his dealership an honest review and here it is. More
