Ran my credit, told me what the monthly payments were going to be and said the car was mine. I gave them my credit card and authorized them to take out the deposit. A week later, I can't get in touch with them and the deposit had still not been taken out. Finally, I get a call back from the sales manager, John, informing me an "employee" wanted to buy the car. This shady, untrustworthy dealership sold the car they told me was mine, behind my back. Spoke to the owner who was equally as shady. Absolutely the worst place to do ANY business STAY AWAY. More

We We went to this dealership looking for a used CRV. When we arrived the sales person offered to show us used and new, but really emphasized the new. We test drove the new and then asked to see the used. When I asked about one of the cars on the internet that was listed "call for price" he said it was only for wholesalers to buy and not available to us. I asked about another and he said the same thing and that it was no for sale. (This is classic bait and switch technique and my first clue to their deceptive practices.) We then selected two used CRVs to look at which the salesperson could not find either on the lot. After about 20-30 minutes of looking the story was that they were both in service. The sales person and the manager than began to try and sell us a new CRV. Maybe the cars were in service or maybe they weren't. I still don't know. I just know they were only interested in selling me a new CRV. They also lied to me about the inventory of used cars. Even though they were willing to negotiate a good price with a bunch of add ons I didn't really want, I still didn't trust them. If you are looking for honesty in your sales person I would suggest going somewhere else. More
I recently bought a new CR-V from Dion at Jim Coleman, and couldn't have been happier with Dion and the whole team during the process. I got a great deal, and their follow-up was excellent. I was met by Dion when I approached the dealership, and told him what I was looking for. Within 5 minutes, I was in the car I wanted on a test drive. Throughout the test, Dion explained all the new featu told him what I was looking for. Within 5 minutes, I was in the car I wanted on a test drive. Throughout the test, Dion explained all the new features of the 2013 version of my beloved 2002 Honda Civic. I wasn't ready to sign on the car that day, and when I returned a few days later, the car had been sold. Dion worked very hard over the next two weeks to find the exact car I wanted, and was able to locate one from another dealership that hadn't received the car yet. I received updates twice a week, and when the car arrived, they had everything ready and waiting for me to sign and drive. I worked with four other Honda dealers before I came to Jim Coleman, and Dion was the only one willing to work with me on this. More

JIM COLEMAN HONDA.... BELIEVE IT OR NOT So ridiculous JIM COLEMAN HONDA.... BELIEVE IT OR NOT So ridiculous ..... here is my story. I walked into Jim Coleman Honda on a Saturday afternoon. I JIM COLEMAN HONDA.... BELIEVE IT OR NOT So ridiculous ..... here is my story. I walked into Jim Coleman Honda on a Saturday afternoon. I have a 2 door car that I bought this year, and decided I wanted a 4 door vehicle instead. I am a student, I have a full time job, and a decent credit score. I got the car I wanted, it was used. The process was long, 4 hours or so, but when buying a car, it's what s to be expected. Anyway, I test drove the car prior to the deal and agreed to purchase it. It was late in the evening when the process was all completed, so they told me I'd have to come back for a few things when service was open. These things were : A new blade for the back window Another Master Key A full tank of gas ( machine was down) I agreed to come back for the three things listed above. I left, all smiles with my used vehicle. I came back to get my three items, the service guy, Dean, was great, he didn't have the blade in stock but ordered it for me and the car had a small strip of rubber missing from the door panel. He fixed that immediately. No problem. I was advised to come back for the blade and it would be in the next day. During this visit , I forgot about my free tank of gas. As for the key, I was told that it had to be ordered and the salesmen were waiting for a part or something of that nature. I was puzzled but I didn't ask, I can be patient so I agreed to wait for a callback. The next morning arrives and low and behold, I get an email confirmation that my blade was ready for pickup. (Great job Dean from service!!!!) I decided not to go in because I would come back in once the key was ready. A week goes by, I call to see if my key was ready for pickup, the salesman told me the other representative who would be taking care of it would have an answer in an hour, and to call back because it would be ready . I said ok, got busy at work and decided to come in the next evening. I pull up to the service Bay Area, blade was installed, quick fast and in a hurry. I didn't even have to wait. A new blade (check) Once again, great job Dean!!!! On this visit, I purposely rode up to the dealership with my gas light on. I knew I could get my gas filled up today, so why not, live a little. I waited to see my salesman, he said he would get it, asked for my license and asked where my car was located. I waited a few minutes and he returned and told he that the manager would not approve the tank of gas because I didn't pay the $995 reconditioning fee at point of sale. I said ok, walked out to my car, opened the glove box, and verified what I paid for. I checked, and he was correct, I did not pay for the reconditioning fee. I kindly put it back into my glove box, but still felt that this was not right, for this is not what I was promised. I walked backed in and asked for the manager. I spoke to the sales manager and told him that this cannot be right. You cannot sell a car with less than a quarter tank, tell your customer that you are owed a fill up, and then decline it. No way, I told him I was also upset because this is now my 3rd time to the dealership and yet, I have no second key. Another manager was there by the name of James who told me that they were waiting for the original owner of the car to bring them the key. Apparently the vehicle was originally purchased by a doctor who was busy and promised he'd bring the second key in. WHAT!!!!!!!!! Now, if I knew they were waiting for the original owner to bring the key in then I would have demanded a key during my second visit because you cannot depend on an original owner to do anything. He sold the car, so he's done with the situation. James told me that he was promised the key on Saturday and that he would drive it to me personally. The original sales manager told me that he would get my car filled up immediately. I was now calm and decided to give them one more shot. I drove off with my car full of gas. Full tank of gas (check) That Friday comes and the finance department calls me and tells me that they forgot to have me sign the contract. I told the guy I would come in and sign for the vehicle that evening. Later, I thought about it and told myself that I would sign it when I get the key on Saturday. Saturday comes, I wait till about 3 and call looking for James. James isn't in, hmmmmmmmmmm. I am referred to John, another manager. I tell him I was promised a key, haven't gotten it, and will not be completing my paperwork until my promise was kept. He tells me, that he'll call me back in 5, count em', 5 minutes with some information. I get a call back as promised, in about 5 minutes. (Good job, John). John goes on to let me know that is has gone on long enough and that I can come in Monday (today) and get a master key as promised, all I gotta do is ask for Dean. I'm feeling good because Dean is A.W.E.S.OM.E. spells awesome. To be continued (I met the character limit) Cont.... READ IT..... JIM COLEMANS BELIEVE IT OR NOT. Monday is here. I'm feeling oh so gooood. I leave work and head down 108 to Jim Coleman Honda. I pull up to the service bay and park my car. A gentleman asks me to pull forward a little, so I do. He asks me what kind of help I need, I kindly say , no problem. I get out and am getting my service ticket written up. While speaking to the technician, I hear "SMACK". I look up to realize that the service associate who is trying to move the car in front of mine, has backed in to MY CAR!!!!!! The service associate says "SORRY". I take a deep breath because I really want to scream my xxx off at this point. Are you kidding me right now????????? I get up and look at my car and it's fine. Funny thing, I have spikes on my license plate and it left marks in the car that hit mine. xxxx shame. Hopefully they will fix the other persons car. Doubt it!!! Anyway, my man Dean helps me out and gives me a master key that works great. Great job Dean- AGAIN,,, Master Key (check) Now, I am left with just one matter of business to complete. I am going to sign the contract as promised. I had to wait about 40 minutes because the finance department was in a meeting. The gentleman calls me back to his office and shows me that they forgot to have me sign THE GAP CONTRACT". What the xxxx, saying that I am upside because I traded in a car that I bought in 2013 and tacked that onto the car that I bought a few weeks ago. If something would have happened, I would have been screwed because the gap contract was not signed until today!!! I drove off, I am all done with Jim Coleman Honda. To think that on my visit that u had to argue my full tank of gas, the sales manager asked me to send them some business their way. YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME!!! I would not refer my worst enemy to them. This all happened to me. This is a factual account. Is story is so sad that it could not be made up and I had to let someone know what happened to me so it doesn't happen to someone else. To close, I will never go back to Jim Coleman Honda DEAN WAS AWESOME, MY SALES PERSON KEEN WAS ALSO GOOD. MY TOTAL EXPERIENCE WAS A 1. More
I was very pleased with the experience I recieved from Theo. He was very up front and honest about my whole car purchasing experience. He was able to answer my questions with the utmost honesty. I have ne Theo. He was very up front and honest about my whole car purchasing experience. He was able to answer my questions with the utmost honesty. I have never had that from a dealership. I was looking to purchase a manual Accord within a certain budget. He did not only exceed my expectations but got me the car I wanted UNDER my budget! I only looked at a few and drove one. He knew exactly what I wanted in a vehicle, no haggling no additional hidden fees! Even the Finance person was very proffesional and down to earth! He was able to get me an extended warrantly on my vehicle so I wont have to worry about anything now! Best car buying experience ever! I would highly reccomend Theo to everyone! One of the most honest salesmen I have ever met! Thank you Jim Coleman Honda! More
I went to the dealership for ABS sensor coming up in the dashboard of my Honda. They replaced the sensor saying that the code came back as a faulty sensor for 450$. After couple of days, the light came up dashboard of my Honda. They replaced the sensor saying that the code came back as a faulty sensor for 450$. After couple of days, the light came up again. When i took it back, they lectured me saying that the sensor keeps coming up because of something in the wheel makes the computer send a signal that ABS has gone bad. After an hour of discussion, they said they will fix the wheel bearing which may be the root cause (note: maybe). After shedding another 450$, they fixed it again. I know that the fix they did first time is unwanted and they did not reduce even a cent for the actual fix. Luckily i had a 10% coupon off their site which saved me 30$ ?!?. I am running it for a couple of days and still nothing is showing up. Even it shows up, i am not going back there. But the service attendant seems to be nice/genuine, but with every sign boasting about the customer service, it isn't good. The attendant informed that whatever discount i get depends on the manager?!?. Seems like the manager has no idea on what a customer service is. I would say take your car to a small honest dealer instead of going to Jim coleman. They have lost me and my friends & family now. I just want to share my experience. This is the 2nd time i went in and got burnt. Seriously, find some other service center for your car. More
I had a very good experience with Coleman Honda and Theo Vamos in particular. I requested a quote online and then began corresponding with Theo. He was upfront about pricing and gave me a quote that was a l Vamos in particular. I requested a quote online and then began corresponding with Theo. He was upfront about pricing and gave me a quote that was a little higher than the lowest quote I had negotiated with a different dealer (but was farther away from me). Theo asked me to bring the quote in and he would meet it. I brought in the quote and Theo offered me a price that was $100 below the quote I had from the other dealer. The other dealer's quote was contingent on my financing with Honda, but Theo told me they would beat that price even if I didn't finance with Honda. In the end I I did finance with Honda even though I had arranged financing through my credit union because Honda was offering a special interest rate (0.9%). I had read about finance office horror stories and so was a little paranoid about financing with them, but the process was simple and they were transparent in the interest rate they were offering (yes, 0.9%) and how much it would cost over the term of the loan. I felt I was treated fairly and with honesty throughout my car buying experience. Theo was honest, friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. I recommend him to anyone considering a Honda for their next vehicle purchase. Thanks Theo! More
