Bad experience made right! I just want to thank Kean Thompson for all his help with the purchase of my truck. He was very helpful and informative. Not to mention, I had some issues with one of the sales managers and Kean really tried to look out for my best interest even if cost him the sale. Kevin Cohan pretty much saved the deal and did the right thing for the customer! I do have to say that they really push you to purchase a vehicle certification. Which is fine but my vechile was certified and I had to get my oil changed with in a month of purchase and windshield wiper fluid was empty. Okay, I know that seems like I'm picking but if you spend a thousand dollars for that to be checked then it better be done! Thanks again Kean Thompson and Kevin Cohan for your help!!! More

DO NOT BUY FROM JIM COLEMAN HONDA!!!! This dealership has screwed over not once but twice and enough is enough. It started last year at the end of April when I was told to walk home becaus This dealership has screwed over not once but twice and enough is enough. It started last year at the end of April when I was told to walk home because I refused to buy a car at their price. To make amends the managing partner, Kevin Cohan, on behalf of the dealership reluctantly agreed to give me the vehicle I intended to buy and a great price. Initially, he only agreed IF I used THEIR financing. The reason for this is because one of the ways dealerships make money is thru charging points on a loan they are able to help a consumer be approved for. Let me further elaborate: a dealership makes money (or deceives people depending on one’s perspective) in three ways: the gross of the vehicle, the financing, and the back end i.e. accessories, extended warranties etc... Chances are when purchasing from any dealership let alone Jim Coleman Honda you have probably been duped in at least one if not all three. I refused their financing because at the time I thought I had my own thru Suntrust Bank (which later turned out not to be the case). Reluctantly, Mr. Cohan agreed to allow me to use my financing and the vehicle was brought in and the contract was written. In the meantime I was trying to clear up any issues with Suntrust so I would be financed. Unfortunately, the vehicle was sold before I was able to clear things up and understandably so as it is in the business of selling cars. I profusely apologized for this because it was out of my control and GUARANTEED it would not happen again. Once again Mr. Cohan reluctantly agreed to find me another vehicle at auction. This turned into me being told the dealership wasn’t buying cars at auction or they were waiting for one to be traded in. I was told this week after week, month after month for now OVER A YEAR! Fortunately I live very close to where I work. Recently Mr. Cohan agreed to find me another vehicle but this time only if I showed approval for financing and put down a deposit to which I agreed. I was told Mr. Cohan told his managers to find the car which means he could have obtained the car months ago if he actually cared. After successfully getting financed with Bank of America and leaving a deposit, I was told that the vehicle would cost more than the original vehicle I looked at when I was told to walk home last year! I was told the prices went up. They went up $5k!? I was also told I would not be given the same agreement I was given last year even though I was led to believe this the WHOLE time because according to Mr. Cohan “I had my chance last year”. Mr. Cohan refused to honor our original agreement even though it is the RIGHT the thing to do simply because he does not want or have to. If this was the case then why was I not told this sooner? Why was I led to believe that I would receive the same agreement that was made prior? If I had known this at even the start of this year I would not have wasted my time waiting for Jim Coleman Honda. Mr. Cohan stated that I could get the vehicle IF I used THEIR financing at a longer term. Why is this a condition for me to get the vehicle, sounds suspicious right? The problem is Mr. Cohan clearly did not care that someone in his dealership told me to walk home or that I have been waiting for a car from them for OVER A YEAR! What he was hoping for is that I would get tired of waiting and just go somewhere else. He clearly, never had any real interest in making amends for this huge injustice and embarrassment. Throughout this whole ordeal I never once was mean, or irate to ANYONE. Please DO NOT believe the commercials and the slogan “we treat everyone like and honored guest”. Sure they do as long as you are clueless and they can definitely bleed you dry. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM JIM COLEMAN HONDA! There are plenty of other Honda dealerships in Maryland. I’m sure there are great people in the dealerships but Kevin Cohan is NOT A STAND UP GUY! More
