First of all this was the 2nd vehicle that I purchased from Jim Browne CJDR and I live more than 45 minutes away from the dealership. I was very disappointed with how my situation was handled by the Sal from Jim Browne CJDR and I live more than 45 minutes away from the dealership. I was very disappointed with how my situation was handled by the Sales team and more specifically the Manager, Larry. Prior to our visit to Jim Browne CJDR on Saturday July 6th I spent a significant time reviewing your website and getting to know the Grand Cherokee L inventory that included multiple vehicles with the same Limited trim packages. I then proceeded to phone the main line and was put through to David Lake in Sales. I told David that I was interested in a new 2024 Grand Cherokee L in Midnight Blue color. That same day my wife and I drove to Jim Browne CJDR met David and demoed the vehicle. We liked the vehicle but were not ready to purchase it that day and needed to review our finances. So on Monday July 8th we drove to Jim Browne CJDR a second time to purchase and take home the Grand Cherokee L Limited in Midnight Blue. However during our inspection of the vehicle before negotiations my wife found a large (approx. 12”x 12”) oxidation spot on the roof. David had Larry look at the oxidation and he said it was a factory issue and the vehicle would need to be repainted by the Jim Browne collision center. At this time we were not given an estimation to complete the repaint or an explanation of any type of warranty on the paint offered by Jeep or Jim Browne, nor were any other alternatives offered such as different inventory vehicles to see for possible purchase. The Sales team did not provide any other options. But then I recalled the other vehicles with the Limited trim and we proceeded to look and demo a vehicle in Baltic Gray. We left Jim Browne CJDR that day disappointed and somewhat confused on the direction forward. There were no follow up sales calls nor the appearance from anyone that they truly wanted to sell us a vehicle. My wife and I spent the next two days searching Jeep dealerships in Tampa Bay and found two vehicles we liked that had similar features. After hearing our issue at Jim Browne CJDR the sales team at each dealership were courteous, professional and demonstrated their desire to find us a vehicle. But with loyalty we wanted to give Jim Browne CJDR an opportunity for a sale so on Tuesday morning I called the Jim Browne CJDR sales line. I spoke to Larry about wanting to move forward to purchase the Grand Cherokee L in Baltic Gray that I remembered from the website which we also demoed. I did in fact say to Larry that I would hope that when my wife and I arrive to purchase the vehicle that I hoped we would not be starting at the same preliminary price offered to us back on Saturday and we would receive some consideration for our distress and disappointment as a result of the Midnight Blue vehicle oxidation issue. At that time Larry’s attitude on the phone became defensive and aggressive. When we arrived at the dealership Larry continued his attacking position and even said “he did not have to sell us a car”. Larry was abrupt and argumentative but with discourse he eventually discounted the vehicle $150. Larry’s antagonistic and combative demeanor is the reason that we will not be buying another vehicle from Jim Browne CJDR, not the lack of a discount. My guess is that you have probably lost many other future customers as a result of this antiquated sales approach. The sales team didn’t even play “Good Cop / Bad Cop”. Even when my wife hinted to David about seeing a coffee mug in the display cabinet she thought was nice nothing was offered. The only reconciliation we received was some candy offered by Joanna in Finance. Car buyers deserve better, especially at todays prices. More

My wife's car had a dead battery. When they performed the inspection the mechanic said the brakes needed new pads and the rotor turned. I had been expecting this for a while since she has over 120 K on the car. They replaced the battery and repaired the brakes while I waited. It was really quick and the waiting room is pleasant.
