My husband and I were on vacation from San Diego and had an unfortunate accident on 89. Our oil pan and catalytic converter needed to be replaced and Dave and our insurance company worked great together. an unfortunate accident on 89. Our oil pan and catalytic converter needed to be replaced and Dave and our insurance company worked great together. We were obviously in a hurry for our car and they overnighted parts from San Francisco, expedited the work, sent copies to our insurance company- we had our car in two days! We were very impressed with the service and the help we received!! A BIG thank you to Dave and his team! More
I bought a snow blower from this dealership in 2006, when it was under a different name. Following a factory recall, I took it in (Fall 2011), and had them service the machine concurrently. When I first u it was under a different name. Following a factory recall, I took it in (Fall 2011), and had them service the machine concurrently. When I first used it the upcoming winter, it was clearly not operating with the same efficiency. It has been a mild winter and I have used the snow blower no more than four times. I asked Cardinale Way to make good on their service and was initially told "no problem" then seemingly following an internal discussion with the service manager, I was told --(irrespective of their failing to even examine the machine)-- the repair would cost me in the neighbourhood of $300.00 and upwards. With this as an indicator of how they do not stand by their service, I am committed to neither doing business with them again, nor recommending them to others. My grand daughter wants a small car as she heads off to college, but there is no way that I would throw good money after bad service at Cardinale Way in South Lake tahoe. Rate: -1 More

They went out of their way to get a car that I wanted and beat everybody else's price locally and down into Orange County. They have continued to follow up 6 months later to ensure I was satisfied. was told I needed front brake pads and rotors turned, so they did the work and I paid for it less than a week later first trip with the car right away while applying brakes started shaking and peadal starte they did the work and I paid for it less than a week later first trip with the car right away while applying brakes started shaking and peadal started pulsating. called service manager told of problem, took it back in and I was told that the brake pads over heated and warpped the rotors, really? after driving for less than 20miles. He said he would do work for free but would have to charge me for rotors. I told him that was unacceptable and that I suspected that when they turned rotors that they shaved them too much. I also reminded him that if the "pads overheated" they to would need to be replaced ( he failed to mention that, or was he going to try to get away with not doing that too?) Service manager (most likly because I am a woman) talked around everything, told a few stories of "similar events" tried to make it sound like my fault,"riding the brakes" what not, long and short of it I asked to talk to GM he said he "was pretty much it" and then I asked to talk to owner. He told me he would call owner, he called me back within just 2 minutes (maybe the owners line was busy?)and told me he would go ahead and do the work, put new pads and rotors and not charge me (how nice of him to do me a favor)BUT he would NOT guarantee the pads or work. So lets see that just tells me that he does not feel that the work they do in their shop is good enough to guarantee, or did he even do the work he said he'd do?? We took it here because they are a Toyota dealer and thought they would do the best job on our Toyota, NOT!!!! They did crappy work and then would not admit their mistake, act all friendly but it is by far genuine. I will tell all I know in our town not to trust this shop and to go else where. More
Been in Tahoe 30 years, were in the market for a new car, ready to buy with cash in hand. We told Cadinale we prefer to shop locally and wanted to give them a chance to get our business. They assured us th ready to buy with cash in hand. We told Cadinale we prefer to shop locally and wanted to give them a chance to get our business. They assured us they were not a typical, (slimey), car dealer so we gave them a shot. They did not have the color car that we wanted but offered to bring one up from Reno. We agreed on a price left a $500 deposit, then came the "well hopefully that car is still in stock", "well it turns out that car has extra $300 in options", (that we didn't want) etc. etc. Got the call at home that the "new" car they were bringing up actually had 520 miles on it, that didn't seem so "new" to us. We told them that wasn't what we wanted and wanted our deposit back. After 3 trips back to the dealer we are still trying to get our deposit back. We will be going "off the hill" to buy our car and would strongly suggest that others do the same. STAY AWAY FROM CARDINALE!! More
