After weighing the pros and cons we decided to search for a Chevy 1500 or 2500. We have been to many dealerships across Maryland and in southern Pennsylvania searching and of course run into the occasional rude salesmen (which I expected to find in this business). My fiancé found the truck of his dreams at Jerry's in late September this year and I couldn't have been more happy with the price. The staff was more than accommodating right up until he signed the purchase papers - then things went south, fast. Upon purchasing it was added in writing that a few minor fixes would be taken care of as the check engine light was on during purchase and during the drive home an acceleration issue was noticed. We were told it wouldn’t take more than a couple days to fix - after 3 days it still hadn't been looked at yet. 10 days later the truck came home. To my complete amazement the mechanical staff at Jerry's STOLE my fiancé’s aftermarket intake system which was on the truck when purchased!!! I could not believe it! DO NOT TRUST THEIR INSEPCTIONS!!! Come to find out that his tie rods were so rusted out that they had to be replaced immediately. We discovered this when we took the truck to our local MD State Inspection Authorized mechanic to have the front end aligned. He told me and showed me that there was NO way that this vehicle would have ever passed inspection. We called Jerry’s immediately and they told us that our mechanic was a liar and the truck was fine and refused to reimburse us for the costs. Needless to say we filled complaints about Jerry’s to Chevrolet as a whole about the terrible service, rudeness, and lies that we were fed during our time there. After numerous un-returned phone calls and voice mails to both Nate and Dave (the general manager) my fiancé wrote a complaint about them on this dealerrater.com site as Nate said “you can post whatever you want on the internet and it will not affect our business” to warn others before they become victims. Jerry’s finally did agree to reimburse my fiancé on one condition – take down the terrible complaint on the internet which he posted. I thought it didn’t matter what was said. He took the post down, settled for a check which was an insult to the actual amount money he is out on this truck and is planning on re-posting it to tell the truth about Jerry’s service. We are in the process of filling another complaint with Chevrolet and Baltimore’s Better Business Bureau. In summary: Terrible service, Rudeness, Unprofessionalism, Theft, and Lies pretty much sum up Jerry’s business philosophy and I would severely warn anyone who plans on giving them any money. More
Great service, friendly, knew product well. He gave a thorough demostration of everything the truck did. He was well versed with all the complex features of the vehicle including the onstar system and ra thorough demostration of everything the truck did. I started out yesterday to buy clothes, but bought a truck instead. Just stopped a Jerry's Chevrolet to look at the 2011 trucks and only look. We were met by salesman Richard Lehr who explained current incentives gave us a brochure and thanked us for stopping in. No pressure, no pushing us into showroom. We were so impressed with Richard we stopped back a couple of hours later to talk numbers, still no pressure. The numbers were good, even better than I could hope for, so I came home with a 2011 Silverado. I have purchased many vehicles over the last 30 years, from Cadillacs to Lincolns to Chevys, Fords, etc, but this was my first experience with Jerry's. We were so satisfied with the dealership that it will not be our last purchase from Jerry's. This dealership is totally professional and trustworthy and is deserving of the "great" rating William G. My first contact was on-line and Cory immediately was in contact with me. His customer service skills were great! After speaking with him, I decided to make the 55 mile ride to the dealership. Well worth the trip! I highly recommend this dealership! I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Chevy Camaro! More
J.D. was a great saleman. He was very informative and nice. However, the dealership itself was not good. The people who detailed my car after I bought it did a horrific job. They were also supposed to fill up my gas tank all the way, however they only filled it up half way. Luckily, J.D. worked with me and he advised me to come back and they would fill up my tank again (all the way this time) and they re-deatiled my car. Had J.D. not done this I would feel even worse about this dealership but, his service has redeemed it for me. The other area I was not happy with was the financing department. I'm not sure if this is necesarily their fault or not but I did not receive my bill until the day that it was due. This could have been GM's fault, as they are the people who I financed through but I feel as though the dealership should have helped me a little more when I called inquiring about my bill. Instead, they just gave me a number to call, which in the end told me what I had to pay and where to send my payment, but they were not very informative up until that point. More
I was looking for a new vehicle within a certain price range. Kevin wasnt pushy nor did he rush me to make a decision. He seems to really take a personal interest in his clients needs and wants. He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable about my selection. He was very engaging and explained the sales process in great detail. After purchasing my vehicle Kevin helped me with my onstar process as well as sitiing in my vehicle, showing me all the features and explaining things about the vehicle to me. He also let me know that I could call at anytime if I had further questions. I have had further questions, and have called and hes always available and ready to help. I feel that Mr. Kyler goes beyond the call of his job and I appreciate that. More
After shopping around with other dealers, we found Jerry's Chevrolet to be the most accomadating, fair and honest dealership. They were understanding and went overboard to please us. Before I went to this dealership I went to another this salesperson was not interested in selling a vehicle said there was not rebates and only quoted sticker price and said that is the price Kevin however salesperson was not interested in selling a vehicle said there was not rebates and only quoted sticker price and said that is the price Kevin however asked a few questions as conversation found out what I was looking for and honestly I was just looking to see what was out there after speaking to himn and he showed me a few trucks its was more of a systematic process than you want to buy it after all the dealing I feel i recieved a fair deal with all the benefits of buying from jerry's when I picked the truck up he explained how to program the radio register for on star and help set my phone up for blue tooth and did a follow up call to ask if I had any other questions More
I purchased a quality vehicle for a very reasonable price. Excellent service from my sales representative who worked with me to find an appropriate selection and understood minor delays in obtaining f price.
