I've rarely had such a good car purchasing experience. Jerry Teafoe and the other sales folks took care of everything. I had already secured a loan through an online lender, but since the check was g Jerry Teafoe and the other sales folks took care of everything. I had already secured a loan through an online lender, but since the check was going to take awhile to arrive, I figured I'd just call these guys and see if they could meet or beat the offer. Sure enough, they came through, and they came through that same day. They actually beat the financing offer I had. Since I would be flying in from out of state to pick up the vehicle, they even agreed to pick me up at the airport. Yeah, it's not a BIG deal, but it's one of the many small things that, when put together, paint a pretty picture of a successful auto dealership. These guys treat the customer with dignity and respect, and they don't mess around with you. There are no surprises, no undisclosed costs. The salesman I dealt with was Jerry Teafoe, who's a great guy, truly a straight shooter. I'm normally a pretty good judge of character, and while I don't just "trust" a salesman, I felt that Jerry was one of those few salesmen who take their job seriously, and I feel today that I would definitely return and ask for him when I need another vehicle when it comes time. In my particular case, I normally buy my vehicles from another Chevy dealership, in my home town, whose general manager has been a family friend for decades. As a result, I'm accustomed to receiving really good service when I visit our local dealership to purchase a vehicle. I mean, I get great financing, everything is ready to go, no haggling on price, the vehicle is top-notch, and I sign papers and I'm outta there. Since our local dealership couldn't get the vehicle I was looking for, I took a chance and checked out Jerry Haggerty in Chicago. Their pricing looked good, and their customer feedback was better than average. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Jerry Haggerty's service was nearly equal to the dealership we have been buying vehicles from for decades. The difference was such a close call, that I couldn't say today whether or not one is necessarily better than the other. I went to lunch while they drew up papers, and I was out of there within 2 hours of arriving. I drove the vehicle home for over 1000 miles, and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Now, two months after the fact, I can tell you this vehicle I bought is really top shelf quality. I get under my vehicles and check, and this truck is pretty clean mechanically. My friends at work thought I got a good deal, and were truly interested when I told them what a great experience it was to purchase from Haggerty Chevrolet. I know several of them will be visiting family in the area soon to do their own car shopping at Jerry Haggerty. More

We have been customers of Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet for many years. We have purchased many cars and have always had them serviced at the dealership.Their service dept.is outstanding in so many ways. Friendly, helpful, always willing to go out of ther way and they are very competitive pricewise. Last week is an example of what I mean. My windshield wiper, driver side would not operate so I took the car into be serviced. Matt met me , saw the problem and said hang on a minute. He came back with a wrench, popped the cover on the wiper, and adjusted the wiper and tightened down the nut. He snapped the cover back on and said "You are good to go". I was out of there in five minutes, I was prepared to wait much longer to get it fixed. This was done at no charge. This is just a recent example of how well you are treated. They have such a great attitude towards the customer. They are the best! More

In particular, Michael listens closely to what the customer is experiencing and explains things that are quite technical in a way that isn't dumbed-down or insulting to a customer who may not understand complicated problems or newer technology. It was a welcome relief and Rich was great. We appreciated his professional and calm demeanor. The car was already prepped and some paperwork done by the time we arrived. He worked with us and answered all of our questions. Please thank Rich, your finance guy (I forget his name -- he was great too). The store manager came by and chatted with us. He was very friendly. I talked Matt about my service problem. He stated they would have it completed in a hour. The car was repair in the stated time and on top of that they washed it. I was referred to Rich by my parents who also purchased an equinox in 2009. They mentioned that Rich was great and very helpful. He definitely lived up to his reputation. He initially met with us in January and we test drove the Equinox. He answered all of our questions (we had a ton) and we were also able to meet Joe his manager. Both Rich and Joe went above and beyond addressing all of our questions and concerns (we were first time car buyers). Rich even followed up with me via a phone call which was very thoughtful. Their service and dilligence were not forgotten, because in February we came back and committed to purchasing the Equinox. I love my new car, it drives like a dream! I would definitely recommend Rich, Joe and Haggerty Chevrolet to anyone! (I am a tough critic on customer service because my job is based on teaching sales and customer service for a big bank, and I would give them an A+) More
