I bought my last VW from Jennings in 2003 and had a wonderful exchange then, too. This time was more impressive as I came in with one fixed idea and left with a different car. Jennings is at the furthest distance from our house but definitely worth the drive. When I decided to gift my much-beloved Passat to our college-age daughter, I called around to see if any of the local dealers had a GTI with leather seats that I could test drive. Both salespeople I spoke with at your competitors, and I use the word loosely, were unfamiliar with their inventory and said they would call me back. Eric, on the other hand, continued to chat with me seamlessly while he looked up my request on the computer. Even if I didn’t have such a great history with Jennings, that early display of professionalism and ease would have won me over. My husband is something of an amateur expert, reads all the car magazines and knows the stats, and even he was very impressed with Eric. We had in mind the Car of the Year and he had one ready for us to drive within minutes. While we were out, he and my husband talked about the Volkswagen company, mergers and acquisitions and new lines coming out. Eric showed the depth and range of his knowledge without coming across as a know-it-all and my picky spouse was very favorably disposed. I think Eric read my body language that, despite all the hype, this was not the car of my dreams. We drove a new Passat next and my husband was ready to reach for the check book but I still wasn’t in love. Eric led me toward the last 2009 Jetta GLI with six on the floor on the lot and as soon as I got in and started it up, I knew I had found my car. It takes a savvy and confident salesperson to know when the match is made and not push a product that isn’t “just right”, as Goldilocks would say. Eric was charming, erudite and conversational throughout, the sort of person you would like to invite home to dinner and almost never the sort of person selling a car. We have been delighted with our purchase and remain among your most loyal clientele. I know from our business that good impressions start with good management so our compliments to you on having built such a wonderful organization. My fiancee and I flew from Detroit to Chicago to pick up the car. Arek picked us up from airport which was very kind of them to do. Arek is really nice guy and easy to deal with. We never felt to be pressured by anybody. And that is the most important thing when you buy anything. They showed us our car, we drove it, and if we did not like it, we could easily walk away. Paula Ciolino was very kind and very easy to deal with as well. She has a lot patience, friendly and willing to explain anything you do not understand. If anyone is interested in buy a new car, I would highly recommened them to anyone. More
We absolutely love our new VW CC. There are so many amazing features that we love about the car. The navigation system, hard drive, and bluetooth capabilities are great! The overall experience that we had at Jennings Volkswagen was wonderful. Everyone at Jennings, especially Arek Aneszko, made the process stress free. The pricing was more than competitive and by far the best we had seen. We were able to make our decision to lease the CC, without feeling pressured to do so. Such a great feeling! This is our 4th car that we have had the pleasure of leasing from Jennings Volkswagen. As car dealerships go, relatively painless, save price negotiations but in the end service was above average and didn't feel like i'd been "slimed". Contacted via Internet with quick response. I made at least 6 visits to the Jennings dealership before purchasing. Doug was the first person who showed me the Jetta. He was very informative, friendly, and helpful. Jennings VW was the last dealership we stopped in after an afternoon of car shopping. We met all sorts of salespeople along the way including the one who waited outside of the dealership to accost us on th an afternoon of car shopping. We met all sorts of salespeople along the way including the one who waited outside of the dealership to accost us on the way in to the one who wouldn't answer my questions (since my husband was obviously the one to deal with) to the one who kept throwing engine information at me while I was more concerned with safety issues. So needless to say, we were discouraged after a very unproductive afternoon and stopped in at Jennings VW for one last try. Lo and behold it was like entering a spa! People were smiling, relaxed, friendly and interested in what we had to say!! The dealership was extremely clean, comfortable and well-designed. Our salesperson, Eric Breitenbach was a breath of fresh air to us. We were looking for a car for our new drivers and I had many concerns about putting them in a small car . But Eric very patiently answered all my questions and took the time to explain all the safety features inside and out so we could make an informed decision. He knows the brand extremely well and is smart enough to know that no pressure is necessary. The cars will sell themselves given the chance to share information about them. When it was time to pick up our new Jetta the men in the shop area were also delightful and friendly. It's just a nice place to be with good people and a good product. It's a winning combination!! I was looking for a 2009 VW CC Sport (awesome car!), and Jennings had the exact car I wanted. Even though I live in Indianapolis, I had a previously-scheduled trip to Chicago, so I decided to explore a deal with Jennings via Internet and phone. Sue Guido, Jennings' Internet Sales Manager, may be the most pleasant, interested, helpful, forthcoming, and responsive salesperson with whom I've ever dealt! And because Jennings is Illinois' largest VW dealership - and wants to stay in that position - they were eager to make a deal. From my perspective, the deal had to be substantially better than I could get locally and attractive enough for me to risk driving my trade (2003 VW Jetta GLI) to Chicago without a firm appraisal and be pretty confident that I would be driving home in the CC. It was, and I did! Sue was off the day I arrived, but she had arranged for everything to flow seamlessly with Eric Breitanbach in sales and Paula Ciolino in finance - both delightful folks who were patient with my many questions. I was so pleased with my experience that I made a point of introducing myself to Andrew Low, the sales manager, and complimenting the staff. Andrew proceeded to express genuine appreciation for my business. Wow. One other items of possible interest to readers: The Golf train station (Milwaukee North line from Chicago's Union Station) is literally at the back corner of the Jennings lot, so if you don't have a trade and need to get to Jennings from out of town, it couldn't be easier. Kudos to VW for the awesome CC and to Jennings for the smooth and pleasant car buying experience!!! More
