DISHONEST, POSSIBLY ILLEGAL SALES PRACTICES!!! Do not reward such an unethical business. They literally admitted to me that they exaggerate the online sales prices to get people in the door. Don't be fooled, here's the story: I was looking for a car after mine was totaled by a red light runner. Life was hard as it was. I found an ad for a car at Jenkins (this was the same ad on all websites, I took screenshots from AutoTrader and Auto.com and posted them on my Google review). List price is shown as $14,265. I drove over an hour to their location, test drove the car, then was shown a price sheet with an out-the-door cost of over $19k!!! That is a $5k increase, or more than 30%! The list price on this sheet was shown as over $17k, an increase itself of $3k to the "list price" on AutoTrader. I showed the sales rep the ad and he immediately responded "it is a form of marketing." I stated that it was a $3k dollar difference and that it was simply inaccurate, he then said, "if we showed the actual price, no one would come in..." I was shocked and continued to tell them that it was dishonest, but he said all dealerships do this. I said I only came in based on the online price and had even called, but no one warned me that it would change. The sales rep then had a supervisor come speak with me. The supervisor said the same thing!!! They are completely aware that they are misrepresenting the prices and by large amounts! Their strategy is to talk you into a larger sales price at a monthly rate you can afford, which is unethical, possibly illegal, and simply a rip-off. Do not give them your valuable business or allow them to make you a sucker. They need to learn that they need to represent their prices and services honestly. The only other excuse they gave is that the $3k difference was a "reconditioning fee." I asked what they could have possibly done to a 20k mile car in excellent condition, they immediately dropped that argument and stated that it was a sales tactic. I wasted about four hours looking at a car that I could not afford. Read the other reviews, people are saying the same thing on the BBB and other websites with dealer ratings. The leadership there is dishonest and forces their sales team to collude in unethical practices that are designed to con you out of more money. Who knows what other aspects of their business this dishonesty is a part of? Everything I have stated here is completely factual. If they respond to this review with stating otherwise, it is further evidence of their dishonesty. BE WARNED! More
