Oem oil fluids? Check your receipt and ask what they use. It’s NOW Castrol but still not genuine Kia oem fluids. They will put whatever weight oil that their computer says is acceptable without asking and It’s NOW Castrol but still not genuine Kia oem fluids. They will put whatever weight oil that their computer says is acceptable without asking and argue the fact it does not matter. Truly 5w30 isn’t much of a diff from 5w20. But if I wanted 5W 20 that’s why I went to the dealership assuming they would follow the weight recommendation on the vehicle cap Itself and not what was close at hand in the bulk container that was not Kia genuine oil. Service manager wanted to argue that OEM had to do with the weight of the oil “acceptable by Kia”. OEM fluid is oil period. Defensive, smug and I’ll say it a company puppet(I understand this much) however someone who manages a service department should be more transparent and non argumentative. From their website quoted “ We Only Use Genuine Kia Parts When you drop your car or crossover off at the Jenkins Kia of Gainesville service shop, your vehicle will be returned to you in an improved condition. If replacement parts are required to complete essential services, our team will use OEM replacement parts - such as genuine Kia oil filters and OIL. These original equipment manufacturer parts are comparable to your vehicle’s original parts. By using these parts, we work to restore your vehicle to like-new condition.” New topic: Everyone knows xxxxxx automotive is one of the best in town. After several times asking Kia to diagnose some issues I was experiencing I went to xxxxxx where they were quick to point out a few motor mounts and tensioner were needing to be replaced and should be covered under warranty they were kind enough to provide me with documentation to bring with me to Kia. Fast forward to today and Kia admits one of the motor mounts looks like it’s on its way out but they will not warrantee it because it is not broken completely however by the time it does break I will just be out of warranty coverage conveniently. Completely wrote off other concerns that were shown to me first hand by xxxxxxx. I will respectfully take my business elsewhere if it means honesty and decent treatment . No I will not go into the semantics of oil weight or your smug grin as I’m clearly upset by this locations track record. My final quandary; How are you going to deny warranty coverage that’s clearly written into the warranty of the vehicle within the mileage range and then recommend replacement of the mounts on the ticket you give me as I leave? (Of course noting that I, the customer, refused-why would I pay for warranty work?) Also initially when on search for car found one I wanted. Told them next day I wanted and they said it sold that afternoon. I’ve seen it parked for sale in my first few visits with my other purchase I made days later elsewhere. For what it’s worth. Thanks for reading, today makes several days past customer cares canned reply of “we’ll be in touch in 48 hours” but I’m coming to expect no less More
