Jenkins Chevrolet of Homosassa

I am generally a very kind, understanding and forgiving person. I have never in my life given a bad review. HOWEVER....The vehicle I purchased at Jenkins Chevrolet of Homosassa was listed for a dollar am person. I have never in my life given a bad review. HOWEVER....The vehicle I purchased at Jenkins Chevrolet of Homosassa was listed for a dollar amount (plus the fine print). The online advertised price was not honored as someone had listed the vehicle incorrectly online without Jenkins protection package (Basically, according to the manager, the vehicle was listed at an incorrect price for whatever reason, not in Jenkins favor). 1) I was given a key that does not unlock anything. 2) I was promised 2 key fobs, but only received 1. When I went back to ask about a second fob, I was told they were backordered and couldn't get one for a long time. They gave me a $130 dollar check, to which I found a business (after much shopping around) who was able to get and program a fob for $329 dollars on the same day, which was 2 1/2 times the amount Jenkins gave me to cover the cost of what they said they could not get. Another part of the deal was Weathertek (or comparable) floor mats. Upon delivery of the vehicle, there was 2nd hand carpeted mats WITH A HOLE. I also had to return and fight for touch up paint, which was also part of the package. This was a 3 week long process of a ridiculous amount of trips to the dealership, a lot of phone calls and a tremendous amount of hours dedicated to what should have been a fairly easy transaction. Finally, after 3 weeks and yet another trip to Jenkins, the salesman, (very begrudgingly) gave me the mats. While the pricing was a mistake and out of the salesman and manager's hands, the salesman, who started out very professional, became quite agitated and rude with me as I fought for what Jenkins had advertised and promised. The out the door price that the salesman and I agreed on verbally vs. the actually price was 19% more. This was absolutely the worst vehicle buying experience I have ever had. Bottom line is that somebody listed the incorrect price for the vehicle online and Jenkins refused to honor it. Then backpedaled and out and out lied on everything in an attempt to recoup whatever they could by nickel and diming the deal to death. On Jenkins webpage is says, "That means 100% satisfaction, no pressure, no obligation and you're treated with care and respect." This is not true. I understand they are a business, but when a mistake is made, own it. I will never consider purchasing another vehicle from any Jenkins dealership and I will be sure to spread the word far and wide. Very, very disappointed. More
