My family and I came to see DAVE KALMBACH at Hidy Acura. I was certain that we were not going to buy anything that day as I have had a few credit issues and I thought that I needed a SUV because of my kids. Dave showed me a couple SUVs I ponted out, then he showed me a beautiful Dodge Caravan that my family loved. After test driving it, I knew that it would be FAR out of my range because Matt Castrucci Honda had said that I have bad credit and my interest rate would be over 20%. Dave took us inside, explained the buying process and took a credit application. Minutes later...Not only did he have us approved, he had us approved at 8%!!!!!! We decided to buy it so a little while later, he took us to talk to Mr. Ted Spangler. Ted showed us all the ins and outs of the loan, and answered everyquetion we could think of. He really put as at ease about buying a vehicle. We were able to buy the van that we wanted, at the payment that we wanted, with only $500 for a down payment! Thank you very much Dave and Ted for being so wonderful to me and my family!!!!! More
I was looking for a birthday gift for my daughter and Mr. Sellers was the first person to great me as I walked onto the lot. I was not sure what I was looking for but at the end of the day I got a great car Sellers was the first person to great me as I walked onto the lot. Mr. Sellers was excellent. My credit was not perfect yet he told me to come in and he worked with me. The gentelman was very patient with me. My check engine light was staying on, he called service and to he told me to come in and he worked with me. The gentelman was very patient with me. Though I did not purchase a car, I found Ron to be exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous and patient when helping me to understanding the pros and cons of the Nissan Maxima versus the Honda Acura. Most noteworthy was his restraint in not “pressuring ” me into making a purchase and encouraging me to do more research and comparisons…I found this “unusual” but yet pleasant, as I typically received the pressure salesperson during my last eighteen (18 ) car purchases. At end, he seemed genuine in is approach and wanted the best for me [not his pocket]. Kudos to Ron…thanks for a positive sales experience. I’m still looking ! More
Ronald And Ted worked out my deal and I was very impressed with the care and compassion they had for me & my new purchase. They even fixed a cosmetic flaw without any additional cost to me. We walked in defeated and with lost hope....we got HORRIBLE treatment with Jeff Schmitt south. We came to Hidy Acura after receiving a mailer and just decided what could we lose. They Stayed 45 minutes after closing time on wednesday, about an hour after closing on friday and we walked out with 2 cars on Saturday!!!! Ted worked his butt off for us and got us an amazing interest rate and payments on 2 amazing vehicles we desperately needed. We are still reeling from it all. Ted and Dave went above and beyond our expectations and we are forever customers. We greatly appreciate them. Highly recommended! The people at Jeff Schmitt should take lessons from these guys. More
Dear ALL, I would like to convey my experience I had with the sales person ("ROY SCOTT") at Hidy Acura. Had I known him beforehand I would have never dealt with this kind of person who is ruining and destroy the sales person ("ROY SCOTT") at Hidy Acura. Had I known him beforehand I would have never dealt with this kind of person who is ruining and destroyed the image of hidy dealership. I had concerns related to registration of a used Acura TL I bought from him the same day he traded the car from another private owner. I had been trying to reach these people for 2 weeks to let me know if there is going to be any delay on the registration. If there is a delay over 30 days than what is the contingency plan in this case. Having had no proper response from anyone I had to ultimately loose my patience and give them an ultimatum to return the car if I do not receive the papers within 30 days. ROY SCOTT does not happen to understand the situation and blasted on the customer without understanding the frustration or being courteous to call and pacify that this situation is not uncommon. Instead he has used loutish and unrespectful language to communicate back to the customer. I highly recommend if anybody is looking forward to buy an Acura pls consider other dealers in the region. Atleast please check the reviews people post online to get a hang of overall hardheadedness consumers face after sales is done. I also read a review which mentioned that Joe Jidy of Hidy acura does not respond. It not untrue. I have called him twice left him messages to call back. He seems to be ignoring to communicate back. I bought my acura mdx08 ito the dealership for in the beginning what I thought was a refill in freon, however my service advisor advised me that it needed a compressor coil and clutch and they would have beginning what I thought was a refill in freon, however my service advisor advised me that it needed a compressor coil and clutch and they would have to order the part, so I returned on Monday for the part to be installed. I left the car for the day and went to pick it up their were two things that I noticed the car was loud and the dash had gotten dark, I turned around on the highway and took the car back, they come out and now tell me that I need a PS Pump. Again when I took the car in and even when they performed a service check everything checked out find. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE WAY THAT I TOOK MY CAR IN IS NOT THE WAY IT CAME OUT, I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB OF DAYTON. More
To be up front, this was the first time i had ever bought a car for myself. I think they could tell that, and they certainly took advantage of my naivety. Got a 2010 Kia forte and was told over and over again how good of a deal i was getting. I was an idiot an believed them. Turned out i could have gotten a brand new 2012 kia forte for the same price with all the same features. To top it off, within the first month i had to take it into the shop twice for various reasons, despite the fact that it passed a "120-point" certified used car inspection process. Lastly, their customer follow-up is awful. I was told i would receive a car manual in the mail. Never did. Whenever i tried to call, i was always told i needed to talk to someone else and that they would pass the message along to them and they would call me back. Of course i never got a call back. Do not use this dealer, ever. More
