Tara worked with us for weeks day and night whether she was on the clock or not to help us figure out what kind of car would be suitable for our family, what a good price range for us would be, an estimate was on the clock or not to help us figure out what kind of car would be suitable for our family, what a good price range for us would be, an estimate of out monthly payment and helped us search car after car until we found the car we liked. She really went above and beyond to find us a car we not Only loved but so desperately needed. Shes truly a rare gem and I wish I had customer service like that everywhere I went! More

Mixed feelings about this experience. Very, very tiring. Bottom line: They were nice to us until they figured out I was not going to pay more money for anything -- I was just going to buy the car, no ser Bottom line: They were nice to us until they figured out I was not going to pay more money for anything -- I was just going to buy the car, no service contracts or other "deals." After they realized this, they made me out to be a difficult, unreasonable customer and almost-mean human being. We had checked out cars on Auto Trader before calling the dealership to make sure our desired car was still there and available. As customers, we were pretty simple. We wanted that car for the Auto Trader price (or better) and we had good credit. Mike really wanted us to buy the additional service contracts (undercoating, paint protection, other garbage). We didn't want to do this. I had expected to chew the price down from the Auto Trader price, and instead, he was trying to get me to spend more. They did give us a reasonable trade-in price on our old car ($1500) without haggling, but then they wanted us to spend an additional $2500 or more for various service contracts we felt we didn't need. What *I* wanted to know, exactly, was what was in the *mechanical service contract* already included (mentioned in the advertisement) for the car we were already paying for. Mike said he wouldn't lie, said he would get that for us, then finally said we would get this when we were signing papers -- to buy the car. (He wouldn't lie, but he just wouldn't get around to dealing with our concerns.) In other words, they didn't want to tell us what we were paying for until they had our name on the bottom line agreeing to pay for it. That didn't seem right. This was on a Saturday, so after 3 hours of test driving and haggling about being able to see what we were buying before we bought it, we spent over 2 more hours waiting to sign papers. Finally at around the 5 hour mark, I said we were leaving to have dinner, we would come back in a half hour (it was now 8 in the evening), and would want to sign papers and leave in maybe a half hour's time (since nearly all the other customers were already gone, except for one customer in line ahead of us). Mike got really upset that I was taking us out of there, even though my husband clearly is not in great health. Mike called us at dinner asking if we could come back the next day at such and such a time (right at time for church service). When I said Monday would be better, he said, "Why won't you work with me on this???" Seemed to me he had not budged on his price and they'd kept us there for five hours. How much more should I work with them? The car was missing an item (shelf) we wanted and no one offered or was willing to give us one of these for free, despite our 5 hour wait (they finally gave us a free oil change -- wheeee -- and promised us a full tank of gas in the car, but the tank was actually 5 gallons low when we left the lot, it just registered as full). On Sunday, I realized Mike had mistakenly allowed me to set up a Monday appt without making sure my husband, named in the loan, would be along to co-sign the loan. We called, and they worked to accommodate us on Sunday for a pre-negotiated time slot at 3:30. By the time we left on Sunday it was 6 pm. We had spent 2 more hours haggling before we got our car. Mario insisted on giving us the sales pitch, all over again, that we had already heard from Mike about undercoating. Additionally, he wanted to sell us a $300 "deal" where, if our car got stolen, we would get a "bonus" $5000. (Why not just play the lottery or the horses with that $300?) Small windowless room, tiny AC vent, and very very long-winded talkative man wanting us to listen about why we should want to spend $1800 to extend the 6-month mechanical service contract which he finally, finally was willing to let us see. $1800 for a 5-year contract to cover items that don't normally go wrong on cars that are less than 10 years old, many of which would cost less than $1800 to replace. When I didn't want to buy it, and wouldn't budge on other items, he said, "So I just am not going to be able to make you happy, is that it? You just cannot be made happy, is that correct?" My husband was wonderful. He stood behind me and encouraged me. We took a break out in the showroom and he pumped me up and gave me courage. We got a great car (no shelf) for a good price, and the warranties we got assured us that they must feel confident that this car is in good shape. So, good enough deal. But I worked for it. More
