March 8, 2012 I drove an hour away from home to purchase the exact car that I was looking for, that I found at Jeff Schmitt Cadillac. The entire process initially went very smoothly. Blaine was nice and the the exact car that I was looking for, that I found at Jeff Schmitt Cadillac. The entire process initially went very smoothly. Blaine was nice and the finance guy was nice as well. At the end of the visit, I was told that I could not take the car that I bought home with me that day. They claimed that it had just been traded the day before and the cadillac certified mechanics and the auto body people would have to do a complete check before the car could be taken. That sounded reasonable enough to me. I was told they would try to have it ready by Monday only to be called later and told it wouldn't be ready till Wednesday.......1 week after I bought it. I was frustrated but I thought..at least they are going to be checking it really well before I get it and catch anything that might be wrong. I was finally able to pick my car up on Wednesday March 14, 2012. I drove my car for 6 days and suddenly the transmission would no longer shift out of 2nd gear. This Cadillac only had 32,000 miles on it. And I did have a 100% warranty. I was trying to stay positive and calm since the cost would be covered under my warranty, but a transmission problem at only 32,000 miles would seem like a big problem to me. So after only having the car for 6 days, it was now in the shop for this issue. So on Tuesday March 20th I took my car to a dealership (NOT Jeff Schmitt) for service. After 10 days in the shop I was told that they had to put a whole new transmission in the car. The mechanic said that the transmission fluid was totally burnt worse than he has ever seen and ALL the clutches etc..were ripped apart. There is no doubt that this COULD NOT have happened during me driving it for 6 whole days. So apparently when the "cadillac certified mechanics" at Jeff Schmitt certify a car for resale, they don't even know how to check transmission fluid. The transmission fluid would have been bad before I bought the car. So did they NOT check it OR did they check it and just not care......either way is a total joke!! Then I have emailed and called numerous times to bring this to someones attention and have received NO phone calls or returned emails. I will never return to Jeff Schmitt and I will make sure that NOBODY that I know will either..... More

Dan was great to work with during our visit to your dealership. He was very considerate in giving us the space needed to look; yet readily available to answer any questions we had regarding car feature dealership.
