The purchase included an extended warranty which seemed like a good idea given how much truck repairs can be. In an 8 month span, the truck was brought in for "warranty" work a minimum of 3 times. The 1st repair they could not duplicate the issue (wrench light on, erratic shifting). They cleared the code and charged $95. The 2nd repair, multiple warning lights on and truck would go into limp mode. Paid $2156.00 to have new some maintenance and warranty work done. Fast forward 4 weeks later and the warning light is back on and truck goes into limp mode....again. Had to have the truck towed to Belzer. Paid another $310 for them to do nothing. However, Belzer finally agreed with me that there is an issue with main computer component. Was hopeful the truck would finally get fixed. Just a few days shy of a month, Belzer still has my truck, waiting for the component. They advised it would take an additional 4 to 6 MONTHS for the part!. I am self employed and being without a truck for that period of time is not an option. Out of frustration I traded the truck and bought a new (used) truck from Belzer. I found a truck I wanted at the Lakeville location and was told that's a different location and we don't trade trucks between locations. As far as I'm concerned they are all one company. After further talks, I was allowed to buy the Lakeville truck. Isn't that nice of them. I should have let 30 days go by and allow the lemon law to kick in. Just wait, it gets better. Belzer presented me with a loan from Credit Union Loan Source (CULS) . A few weeks later, I received notification from CULS and Belzer that they were not honoring the loan as the age of the truck and the term of the loan exceeded 11 years. The contract has the year of the truck and the term on it so it is beyond frustrating that they are not honoring the loan! I can't cancel the loan, why can they cancel...that seems criminal. I am in the process of obtaining a loan through my own bank and Belzer hasn't notified CULS that we canceled the GAP insurance (3 weeks ago) and the extended warranty (6 weeks ago). Why isn't Belzer notifying the credit union of the cancellations!? We are trying to get a payoff minus the cancellation of GAP and extended warranty but it's still on the loan. It's that convenient for Belzer and CULS! It's a good thing I have the signed cancellation forms. Belzer's doesn't stand behind their work and have deceptive selling and repair practices. I will be filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, and the MN attorney general. Please listen to my cautionary tale and do NOT step foot into any Belzer location. This has cost me thousands of dollars to replace a computer component that Ford does not have. To close, one star was given because zero stars is not an option. More
John did a great job. He was super professional and went through all my options thoroughly. We landed on the right deal for me. Kudos! He was super professional and went through all my options thoroughly. We landed on the right deal for me. Kudos! More
I originally gave Jeff Belzers (New Prague) a 1 star review. See below. I have adjusted it to a 5 star review simply because they (for the most part) chose to do the right thing in regards to myself as review. See below. I have adjusted it to a 5 star review simply because they (for the most part) chose to do the right thing in regards to myself as a customer. I purchased my Jeep at the end of September and drove it for 1.5 days before it failed. I finally got my jeep back on December 16th. Two and a half months later. This was a constant source of stress for me. But I finally have my Jeep back and fixed. The long duration was partially due to a shortage/unavailability of parts, the other was just trying to figure out what was wrong. During this time Belzers made sure I got to drive a newer vehicle during my wait time and got it delivered all the way to Northern Minnesota. They also covered my payments for those 2 months. These things were much appreciated and they should know it alleviated some of the stress that came with all of this. I love my Jeep. I didn't feel overcharged and the process was very easy to buy it. Again---this could have happened to anyone and at the end of the day what mattered was how Belzers chose to handle it. Though there were bumps initially, it feels resolved and I would say that I could definitely use this dealership again. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I am giving this dealership a 1 star. Maybe this will change in the future, but for now it sits at a 1. Let me explain why. I live in the northernmost tip of Minnesota (International Falls area) and I flew down to purchase my dream Jeep Wrangler. I did not have this vehicle more than 48 hours and it quit working at a busy intersection. CNA did not even have our information in their database yet for a tow, though they got one for us anyways. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I understand these things can happen. But this is a 2019, having just passed the 170 pt test in their shop. As upset as I was that the vehicle failed, I became MORE upset at the non-response from the dealership. It took 5 days to really get anyone to respond to the situation. Both my husband and my emails went ignored. 10+ days in the shop and I will still be without my new vehicle. I live in a rural area where there just aren't many options for repair. I could handle a failed vehicle, it sucked, but I could handle it. I couldn't handle the non-response. For me, 40 grand was a lot of money and I just felt like the follow up should have been SO much better. Maybe I am out of touch with how dealerships work nowadays, but it has all just been so disappointing. I would also like to point out that I believe this issue was not fully investigated before it arrived at the dealership and shuffled out the door with me. Failure involved faulty battery, ESS and now a new alternator. Our test drive never kicked on that ESS and I drove highway miles all the way home. My commute is 6 minutes. First chance this ESS got to work was at this busy intersection once I was 300+ miles away back home. I will say the finance process was great and Nathan was very easy to talk to and had a lot of information we found valuable. That being said, he did offer (as we left) to shoot him an email or text if we needed anything at all. I did send him an email twice. To my knowledge, this was also never responded to. I have no idea if this was on accident or if he was actually just out of the office. Sorry this review is so long. But I had a lot to get off of my chest. I waited a full week to write this review so I had a little more time to see how things played out. Still just very disappointed. More
I had a very good experience purchasing my new car. Each step went smoothly. The sales agent, Scott Haworth, was pleasant to work with. He was friendly and professional and did not pressure me. He even stayed late after the dealership was technically closed to make sure I was able to sync my phone and use the Ford Pass with my new truck. The truck was in the middle of being cleaned when I test drove it, and the retailers did an amazing job of getting it spotless so I could take it home that evening. I’ll definitely recommend the dealership to anyone in the hunt for a new vehicle. More
