The check-in was extremely efficient and quick, and the waiting room was furnished with many comforts for the customer. Shuttle service was available but was not required for us. They were able to complete the work within the time allotted. More

Oil Change I took my car in to have them look at my auxiliary port as it was no longer connecting to my phone and for an oil change at the Honda dealership. (one I took my car in to have them look at my auxiliary port as it was no longer connecting to my phone and for an oil change at the Honda dealership. (one of my least favorite things to do because they always try and sell you more) Sure enough the service man told me my car was due for an A16 - meaning an oil change and a rear differencial fluid change. Then he told me there were past services that I had declined that they really needed to do "sooner rather than later". He said they base their services needed off of what the Honda computer in my car is telling them. I told him that everything they told me my car needed I had taken to my mechanic that I have been using for 9 years and my dad has been using for 20 and my mechanic told me my car did not need these services done. So I told him that I was going to pass on his recommended services and that I just wanted the oil changed and I wanted him to take a look at the auxiliary port to see how much it would cost to fix. The serviceman called me a few hours later to tell me that the auxiliary port was going to be about $170. He also told me that there was "coolant leaking everywhere and I need a new water pump because this one could burst at any moment, and that my mechanic had put the wrong spark plugs in my car and that I need a valve adjust otherwise I am going to end up replacing my valves." He said the main concern was the valve adjust and the water pump because "my water pump could burst at any moment and then coolant would gush everywhere and that could ruin my engine" The new water pump and the valve adjust was going to cost me around $1200.00 I chose to deny their services and told the serviceman that my dad would be coming to pick the car up tomorrow. He told me that he was going to have to make a note in their system saying that he felt my car was unsafe to drive (he tried to get me to rent a rental car while they fixed my car and I denied that).I told him he could go ahead and make that note and I would still be having my dad come pick my car up in the morning. My dad went and picked my car up and the serviceman explained everything to my dad that he had explained to me. My dad then took my car to our normal mechanic and explained to him everything the Honda serviceman had told us. My mechanic kept my car overnight and put cardboard under it to monitor the "leaking coolant", he also checked my spark plugs and valves. He called me the next day and said the cardboard was completely dry and my waterpump was perfectly fine and not leaking coolant and that my spark plugs and valves were also fine. (my car had been driving completely normal before I even took it to Honda) He did say my car had a blown fuse that he had gone ahead and fixed. I was relieved to hear that my car did not need $1200.00 worth of work to it and even better, my mechanic didn't charge me because I've been a long time customer. Due to my experience with Honda and their service man trying to tell me I needed $1200.00 worth of work done to my car when I actually needed none I will no longer be using their services even for something as simple as an oil change. You are supposed to be able to trust your car dealer that they would know what you car needs and when it needs it and that has not been the case. Everytime I have taken it in for an oil change it's always "needed" several hundred dollars worth of work. Hondas are not cheap cars but they are supposed to be reliable which is why I purchased one. I will seriously consider if I ever even want to purchase a car from Honda in the future if it is always going to require several hundred dollars worth of work everytime it needs an oil change. More
