Didn't seem to care about me or my problems When I called to make an appointment, I spoke to Stefanie. I explained the recall notice I received and another serious CONTINUING problem I have had When I called to make an appointment, I spoke to Stefanie. I explained the recall notice I received and another serious CONTINUING problem I have had with my 2012 TL since it was new (throttle response problems). She said they would need the car most of the day but didn't have a loaner available for nearly a month! When I asked why, she said they had a lot of cars in for recalls (they're sure not building those "Hondas/Acuras" like they used to!!). So I had to drive 50 minutes each way twice to have my car serviced, but I needed to get these problems addressed right away. When I arrived, the guy who spoke to me in the drive-up was pleasant, but the notes as to the problems were NOT correct. Stefanie had not recorded them all correctly. I explained again what I needed done, and he asked about ADDITIONAL services (oil change, etc). And before I could get my coffee out of the car someone had driven it off! I was then told to go inside to "finish up the paperwork." I went inside and was met by Willie Johnson. He confirmed what I needed done and (of course) tried to sell me additional services. When I arrived back at the dealer later to get my car, another employee couldn't find Willie so he pulled up my account. When I asked what they found out about the throttle response problem (the MAIN problem I wanted addressed!) he said "they drove it but didn't find anything wrong." I asked if they found any OBD codes related to it. He said "I don't know...I'm sure they checked." I asked him to check for certain, and he seemed put out to talk to the service tech! When he returned he said the tech HAD checked and no OBD codes came up. Although the car is now running better since the transmission software update, I feel like Acura and this dealership have dismissed me and this throttle response problem since the beginning. I KNOW there's a problem with the car, because other TL owners have posted the same problem on the NHTSA site! Regrettably, I will probably NOT buy another Acura after this continuing problem and Acura's refusal to admit the problem and fix it! More
