We had a bad situation in which we were very upside down on our trade-in. I had several dealerships actually tell me on the phone not to bother. They never even attempted to help us. I needed something safe, something better to travel with my son. Chad helped me pick the right car for me on a very tight budget. Marc was the man who was extremely helpful and worked hard in helping me get the best car warranty and price for this cute tiny 2008 model Chevy Cobalt. I first contacted Jason Pilger Hyundai via their online commerce chat. Marc Wamsley (eCommerce manager) responded very promptly, answered my questions, and after our online chat he followed up with an appo commerce chat. Once we arrived Marc passed my wife and I off to Chad. From there, Chad showed us the vehicles I inquired about online and was a good mix of being both friendly and sales. After a through test drive and I asked about crunching numbers. Chad and I discussed numbers for awhile and Moe Alam joined in the "haggling" process. When we reached a number that was close to what I was comfortable with, we ended negotiations and parted ways. The next day Marc emailed a follow up thanking us for giving them a chance to earn our business and few hours later Chad called to discuss our previous day's negotiations. At this point he told us of a financing option we qualified for and we decided to purchase our 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The car was detailed when we arrived at the dealership and the Chad didn't mind letting us inspect the vehicle before we began paperwork. The paperwork process was very easy going and to the point and any questions we had regarding finance was taken care of. Overall, I feel like the dealership was a good mix of friendliness and sales and plan on using Pilger Hyundai to service my vehicle. Haggling is not necessarily fun, but is part of the process - the dealer wants to make money and the buyer wants to save - Chad or Moe never became frustrated with the process and worked with me the entire way. More

I live in the greater Chicago metropolitan area and I was looking for a very specific used auto. I wanted a 2007 or 2008 Huyndai Tiburon SE in blue with a manual transmission. I found two in the Chicago area looking for a very specific used auto. I wanted a 2007 or 2008 Huyndai Tiburon SE in blue with a manual transmission. I found two in the Chicago area. On Saturday, 4/7/2012, I called both dealers and one of the cars was on hold pending another sale and the other one was available. When I called the first dealership the salesmen tried to sell me another car because the one I wanted was a sale pending. I told him that if for some reason the deal fell through, to call me. I then called the other dealership in Chicago and they were unpleasant, unfriendly and told me that they would answer my questions once I came to the dealership and test drove the car. The sales person who answered the phone was talking to someone else in the background and when I tried to get more answers over the phone, he just kept repeating that I had to come in and test drive the car. I became very frustrated and decided that they would not be earning my business. I then began searching the internet for the car and came across three of them that fit my very specific wants; one was in Florida, one in Georgia and the other was Jason Pilger Hyundai in Mississippi. I called your dealership and spoke with Marc Wamsley who was very pleasant, friendly, upbeat and answered all my questions and was willing to do a credit application over the phone to see if I would qualify for purchasing that vehicle. He went above and beyond meeting my expectations of friendly, professional and hospitable service. He and I spoke several times over the course of three days putting the deal together. He fondly became known to my husband and I as "Mississippi Marc". Even my husband was impressed by the helpful service and how this salesman bent over backwards to keep me informed of the process every step of the way. Mississippi Marc had definitely made an impression on us so much so that I bought the car sight unseen. My husband and his friends thought I had lost my mind when I told them that I was flying down to Mississippi, signing the papers and driving the car back to Illinois without so much as a test drive. When I told them that Mississippi Marc assured me that he drove the car and promised it rode well and was in great shape, they could not believe that I would trust a used car salesman with so much as only his word without seeing the car and driving it myself. I flew down to Mississippi late on Wednesday 4/11/12, rented a car to get me from the airport to the hotel, and finally met Mississippi Marc on Thursday morning. I was greeted by a very friendly man and when I asked to see Mississippi Marc, he smiled and said, "Miss Chicago, we have been waiting for you." When I finally met Mississippi Marc, I gave him a hug and was genuinely happy to finally meet the person who I spent so much time with over the phone. I was greated in a warm and friendly manner by all your personnel including Bobby and Todd. Mississippi Marc assured me that he had his best detailer on my car and wanted to check the work out personally to assure it was up to his standards. I cannot tell you how pleased I was with the experience at Jason Pilger Huynda dealership but mostly impressed with Mississippi Marc. He was the very first impression I had with the dealership and won my business after the first two minutes of just speaking with him over the phone. I should also mention that on that Monday, prior to flying down to Mississippi, the other 2008 Huyndai Tiburon became available at the dealership 10 miles from me. Apparently, the other deal had fallen through and the salesman (ironically also named "Mark" but with a "k")called me and said that I was approved for financing and that I could come and pick up the car that night. The cars were virtually identical with the exception of the year and the price was slightly less but I wanted to give my business to Mississippi Marc who provided used car buying with a flare of great southern hospitality and integrity beyond comparison. If anyone I know ever needs to purchase a vehicle, I would definately send them to Mississippi Marc. He is a valuable employee and a definite asset to your dealership. Thank you for a great used car buying experience and my best to Mississippi Marc who proved that first impressions do last! More
