The service is always wonderful but you lose customer/service agent connections with everything being so automated. Being back the times when the service agent actually called the customer and s customer/service agent connections with everything being so automated. This includes when the car is done and ready to be picked up. More
The only reason this rating is not zero is that I have had good experiences with this service department in the past. I was scheduled for a service appointment on 10/27/21 at 11:00am for a factory recall had good experiences with this service department in the past. I was scheduled for a service appointment on 10/27/21 at 11:00am for a factory recall on my Explorer roof rails. I also asked them to replace a reverse light bulb. They knew I was waiting. They took my vehicle right away to what I assume was the service bay. Over an hour later, while walking around I saw my vehicle still sitting in a parking lot. A little while later I saw my vehicle was finally in a service bay. Initially I saw a technician working on the roof rails for a short time. I kept checking back and never saw a tech near my vehicle again for another hour and a half. At 1:55pm I finally went to see the service writer. He said they had to order parts for the roof rails. I asked why did they schedule me for the recall when they didn’t even have the parts to fix it. He told me that’s how Ford does it. So they knew that immediately upon examining my vehicle, why did they make me wait almost three hours and still not give me my car back. He said they were waiting for my approval of the estimate to replace the bulb. He claimed he sent me a text with estimate. I never got t text. I did however receive an email that was sent at 1:46pm. They let me hang around for three hours and they did NOTHING to my vehicle. Pathetic. A lot of the blame for this mess is the fault of Ford Motor Co. They produce a vehicle with a terribly designed component and then they make the customer make two trips to the dealership to maybe fix the problem. I have now made six trips to dealerships for these rails and I’m no closer to having them fixed. More
