I took my Ford Winstar to Jannell in December for a rear axle recall. Ford asked consumers with Winstars to bring them in to be tested and if they didn't pass the test they would provide you with a rental u axle recall. Ford asked consumers with Winstars to bring them in to be tested and if they didn't pass the test they would provide you with a rental until the parts came in. My van failed. The team at Jannell explained that it would be 4 - 5 weeks before the parts came in and drove me to the rental company. Turns out Ford had a much larger than expected problem on their hands and took longer to distribute all the parts. I never heard from them for 6 month! 6 months later I went to pick up the van. It was very helpful that they arranged for me to return the rental to Jannell and not have to go to the rental agency as well. I started to drive out of the parkig lot and there was an awful noise. Roger drove the van and told me it was the strutters and springs. I knew I couldn't drive the van home. I was very upset as it didn't need these parts when I dropped it off six months ago and I did not want to invest any more money into this old van and yet was not prepared to buy a new car right now either. I was ready to panic. Roger understoond. He explained that this can happen when a vehicle sits for such a long time and that he would see what he could do to help me. And he did. He called Ford and explained the situation, but they said this was not covered under the recall and there was nothing they could do. Roger didn't give up on me. He had a van on the lot, much newer than mine, that was being junked because of the recall. He replaced the broken parts of my van with parts from this newer van, even a broken windshield wiper he noticed! And, he didn't charge me for parts or service. I know I need to buy a new car in the near future and I know where I am going to buy it. It is great to have a car dealership you can trust. More
I recently brought my 2010 Taurus in for service on the one year anniversary of its purchase from Jannell. I continue to be very enthusiastic about the Taurus and have been very satisfied over the past yea one year anniversary of its purchase from Jannell. I continue to be very enthusiastic about the Taurus and have been very satisfied over the past year with the routine maintenance service I've received at Jannell. On this occasion,the service was exceptional. The scheduled maintenance tasks were completed in short order along a with a comprehensive functional inspection. This was followed by a thorough detailling of my car, during which General Manager Bill Roderick personally ensured extra effort of the service staff who virtually eliminated the appearance of a number of body scrapes without the necessicity of a separate and potentially expensive trip to a body shop. The result was a car that looked and performed like it had just come from the showroom floor. And all of this was done in a timely fashion and at a very modest cost. A great job! More
An issue with my headlights was reported to them while still under warrantee. It was a covered item that they could not find the problem. In November 2010, the same problem occurred. My Tbird needed a new headlight switch, $200+, but they would not cover under warrantee. Ford would not help me either. I persisted and with the help of Dealer Rater, was immediately contacted by the GM, Bill Roderick, who gave me a full refund, and met with me personally to discuss the problem. I have so much respect for Jannell Ford now because they went out of their way to help me. They are a great dealer, convenient, friendly, have WiFi and will give me a ride home and back! More
I HAD A WONDERFUL EXP. WITH JANELL FORD ... MY FORD ESCAPE GOT TOWED TO THEM BECAUSE IT WAS THE CLOSEST DEALER .. I HAD NEVER BEEN THERE BEFORE BUT THEY TREATED ME LIKE I GO THERE ALL THE TIME .. I recently had some repair work done on my explorer and was more than satisfied. I delt with Roger and Jeremy in the service department. There ability to diagnose and fix the problems in a timely manner a was more than satisfied. I delt with Roger and Jeremy in the service department. I brought by my sons crown victoria in with a steering problem that I wanted them to diagnose. They said it was the lower steering shaft repaired for $335.70. Picked up car not fixed brought back then sai problem that I wanted them to diagnose. They said it was the lower steering shaft repaired for $335.70. Picked up car not fixed brought back then said it was the rack and pinion steering their price $752.00 with $143.00 removed for labor because it wasn't the lowershaft. On their recomondation I had repair done at regular mechanic. Still not fixed brought back they then said it was the upper steering shaft. Ihis they only charged me $69.43. this was the actual fix. If my car had been properly diagnosed the first time I would not have had to put over a thousand dollars into unnecesary repairs. Tom is not a mechanic and unable to best explain and or answer questions. When I called to tell them it was still not fixed I was told it would be inconvient for them to look at and they scheldued me the next day which was a friday and the mechanic that was to look at called in sick. More
