So I usually bring my five cars to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. Well - the last time I went to Jiffy Lube in Norwell, MA - they left the fender protector under the hood. This time it was worse. I brought my F250 in and they replaced the air filter and changed the oil - $103.10. Ridiculous. So when I leave, I jump on the highway and hit the gas. The truck dies. It never had a problem before. I call Jiffy Lube and get an "oh, well. Let us know how it turns out. I call for a tow truck and because it's through Ford Roadside Service, they tell me have to take it to Jannell Ford in Hanover. The tow company - Blackwater Towing from Abington - is a nightmare (the guy's girlfriend was in the cab) but they get me to Jannell. I am STEAMING at this point and walk in expecting that I will be told it's after three o'clock on a Friday of a holiday weekend (Memorial Day) and I am out of luck. I tell them my tale of woe and they have heard the Jiffy Lube stories before. I'm supposed to be headed for the Cape, so I will need a loaner van or truck, and before they do anything else, Roger Paim - Service Manager calls and arranges for me to take one on the lot. One problem done. Then he says "Let me call Woody". Woody and Roger brainstorm, and before they even see the truck, diagnose what the trained xxxxxxx at Jiffy Lube did. Long story short, they messed up the air filter system. Woody pulls everything quickly apart (ahhhh, experts!) and cleans everything and puts it together. The thing is running again, like before the xxxxxxx got their hands on it. He puts an analyzer on, verifies everything is good, and shuts it up. In less than a half-hour, I'm back to as good as new, and these guys genuinely appeared happy that they could have helped me. I type this as I am getting ready to go to Cape Cod - IN MY OWN TRUCK. No lender, no ridiculous charges, no bs. So then they see my Jiffy Lube invoice, and show me that they charge notably less for the same services AND they can do the same job JUST AS FAST as the xxxxxxx. And I would have had genuine Ford parts rather than the cheesy ones they put in. The air filter that Jiffy Lube put in was CLEARLY not as quality as the original air filter. These guys give dealerships a good name. They restored my faith in humanity, and they are working on my truck exclusively in the future. My weekend was saved, and I feel like I made some friends. Roger in the service dept. could not have been more polite & helpful. Car was ready when he said it would be,& was parked right near exit door which was much appreciated because it was pouring rain. : polite & helpful. Jeremy and I have known each other for over a year. Last year, under extended warranty, the starter in my 2006 Mustang was replaced. Just today I picked up my car after the wiring was repaired. The issue as year, under extended warranty, the starter in my 2006 Mustang was replaced. Just today I picked up my car after the wiring was repaired. The issue as I understand it was a broken wire in the harness that was showing up as a faulty wheel speed sensor holding out the ABS and traction control. Hard work and a tenatious attitude solved the issue. My many thanks to Jeremy and the service team that provided once again excellent service "With a smile" Great job! Adam was very accommodating and made the vehicle service process painless. He fit me in when I had an opening in my schedule to help facilitate the completion of the work on my vehicle. On May 2nd, I brought my wife's car for service with a growling in the fron end and a problem with the passenger door latch not working. The wheel bearing/hub was replaced in about an hour and was back on growling in the fron end and a problem with the passenger door latch not working. The latch had to be ordered and when I went back to have the latch installed and asked if they could also check a sync problem I was having. After leaving, I noticed that the sync problem was still there and I called the service dept. and was informed that I could come in any time and they would look at it immediately (Roger Paim, Service Mgr). About a week later I stopped by and a service Tech came right out to my vehicle (Gregg). He had everthing working just fine in less than 10 minutes. To many times the Service Department of any dealership never receives any praise for a job well done. I would reccomend Jannell to my friends. Thanks for a job well done. More
I called Jannell because my local mechanic couldn't find the problem with my car. As I explained what was going on to Jeremy in service, he gave me multiple suggestions for my mechanic to try. When the mechanic was still unable to find the problem I brought the car to Jannell without hesitation. I've used them for service before and they have always been fair when I'm sure they could have taken advantage of the fact that I no ZERO about cars. I was visiting from out of state and had a problem with my 2010 Ford F-250's brakes. On a Saturday Morning, about 11:30am, Adam got me right in and out again in less than an hour!
