After a very pleasant experience with our salesman, Shane Behanan, our experience went down hill when the rest of the Jake Sweeney KIA organization got involved. We never buy extended warranties or service a Behanan, our experience went down hill when the rest of the Jake Sweeney KIA organization got involved. We never buy extended warranties or service agreements. We see them as simply ways for the dealer to make more money - a waste of our money. We have never regretted our approach with any of the many cars we have bought. We said no to all of those options when we met with the Jake Sweeney KIA financial guy. However we were told we had no choice but to buy the Environmental Protection Package” if we wanted to buy a car. In fact Jake Sweeney had already applied the paint and fabric treatment required by this package. We had no say in the matter. That package added $899 to the price of our vehicle. This should have been on the sticker. This is where we have seen this in the past. It was not. When we challenged this, the financial guy said “everyone does it this way”. We assured him that wasn’t true and we have the paperwork From our most recent car purchase to back it up. We feel we were scammed by Jake Sweeney KIA. Also their processing fee of $450 is very high compared to our experience with our most recent car purchases. More
