Outstanding Sales & Service!!! I recently visited Jake Sweeney KIA in Florence with the intention of 'looking for a certified pre-owned' vehicle and ended up making a purchase! I recently visited Jake Sweeney KIA in Florence with the intention of 'looking for a certified pre-owned' vehicle and ended up making a purchase! I met with Danny Mangulabnan, who was referred to me by an individual who had recently purchased a Kia Optima from him. Danny listened to what I had to say about vehicle model, mileage and affordability and he showed me exactly the vehicles that fit my criteria. I test drove a Kia Optima and knew immediately it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Danny made the entire process smooth and hassle-free and literally within 2 hours I was approved and out the door with a certified pre-owned car!!! My past encounters with buying a vehicle at other dealerships has been dreadful. The experience was overwhelming and the sales force tried selling me things I didn't need or couldn't afford. Not to mention I spent half the day at the dealership haggling pricing, incentives, extras, etc. This WAS NOT the case with Danny and Jake Sweeney KIA!!!! Based on this recent experience I am a lifelong Kia owner!!! I even suggested Danny to my niece who ended up purchasing from him as well and is the proud owner of a new Kia Sportage! Terrible Customer Service Back in August I purchased a 2015 Kia Optima. I have no complaints about the car. It was my overall experience as a whole that will cause me to never recommend Kia in Florence. The salesman, Joe Netto, made numerous jokes about me being female saying we are bad drivers and causing all the accidents, that all women always need or want something. He also kept telling me to smile pretty at the manager to see if he would lower the price but I chose not to do so. He also wanted me to take him to a Reds game and pay for his beer. I laughed it off not knowing how to respond in that situation. I was also told that $500 would be taken out of my account in two installments in September. After purchasing the vehicle I got a follow up call asking about my experience and was honest about the whole thing. I later got a call from Coby Sweeney. He mentioned the salesman was up for promotion and was very displeased. Later that night I got a call from the salesman on my personal cell phone around 9:30 pm asking me to retract my statement and said that I was taking everything the wrong way.. It was very unprofessional for him to call me at the hour. He said I was overreacting about the whole thing and could cost him his job...which later I found out he was promoted anyway. Forward a couple months later when I was supposed to get my license plate before October 8th when my temporary one expired. I called the dealership many times leaving voicemails to have someone call me back about why I hadn't gotten them yet. On October 8th I finally demanded to talk to someone instead of going to a voicemail. I find out that they were holding my plate because I owed them $500 (which was supposed to be taken out automatically). They told me I needed to talk to my salesman and he finally called me back. He blamed it on me that the money wasn't taken out and wasn't sure why finance didn't charge my card. He even went on to say that it was probably because I didn't have any money in my account which wasn't true. He said I couldn't get my plate until I paid the $500 which I couldn't at that time. After him giving me attitude and just upsetting me I hung up on him. I finally decided to just go to the dealer and talk with finance about what I can do. The finance department was great to work with. Tammy and Shane were very easy to talk to and helped come up with a plan moving forward. I did find out that it was the salesman's responsibility to take my information to finance to have them charge my card which the salesman never did. I ended up getting my plates and coming up with a payment plan to pay them back the $500. That being said, I do love my car but wouldn't recommend going to this dealership. More
Regret making the purchase from Jake Sweeney Kia My wife and I do not regret purchasing our 2015 Kia Soul but, we do regret purchasing it from Jake Sweeney Kia. Towards the end of our purchase, My wife and I do not regret purchasing our 2015 Kia Soul but, we do regret purchasing it from Jake Sweeney Kia. Towards the end of our purchase, our salesman, Danny Mangulabnan was much more interested in dealing with his fantasy football draft than our pesky new vehicle purchase. So much so that our financing paperwork, particularly the warranty and payment months, was incorrect and of course in the dealerships favor. So much so that we received no instructional information regarding the multimedia features of the vehicle. And, to top off our customer service experience, the lot technician that "cleaned" the vehicle left the vehicle dirty (mud in the cupholders) and scratched the leather seat. After repeated telephone calls the dealership has offered to "repair" the seat at their convenience (Friday morning). Both my wife and I work, so this issue is still unresolved. Buyer beware, and stay away from Jake Sweeney! More
High Pressure Craziness I sent in an inquiry about a week ago because I was so excited to find a Kia Soul online that I was interested in purchasing. I received an email and a follow-up call pretty quickly which was great. I spoke with Will H and he shared that they weren't open the upcoming Sunday so I needed to meet with them the following weekend. He said he would follow-up with me the next week and I thought everything was good. A day or two later he sent a text asking if I was coming the next day. I thought maybe he forgot...so I just said no I'd be coming the next weekend. I received another text the next day asking when I'd be coming in. At this point I was feeling pressured a bit and so I said I'd be in touch. A few days later I received an appointment confirmation email for the same day that the email arrived. I live a few hours away and this was during a weekday morning, so there is no way I would have scheduled an appointment at that time. I sent an email explaining this and expressed my disappointment with how things were being handled. He responded with a very inappropriate and unprofessional email saying that people make fake inquiries and I wasn't handling things correctly. He accused me of not responding to multiple calls and emails. It made no sense and I asked to be removed from his contact list. Then he sent another email saying he didn't mean to offend me!?! I asked again to be removed and not contacted again. Today I received yet another email from this guy saying he'd help me look for a car. I don't know what the issue is - the software they use to communicate with customers or just the integrity of this person, but I have had it. I am so disappointed and now need to start my car search again. Additionally, I'm leaving this review and filing a complaint with the BBB. No one should be mishandled this way or have to beg a company to stop contacting them. It looks like others have had great experiences and I really wish I could say the same. More

We had just come from another dealership where no one approached us. A KIA was on our "look at " list. When we arrived, we were greeted by a smiling Dante Goetz. We were comfortable from the beginning. He simply thanked us for coming on the lot and asked questions about us and listened to our answers. He did not direct to any certain vehicle. We just walked and talked and Sandy found her vehicle. Dante showed us the vehicle inside and out and we test drove and before long. left with our vehicle upgrade. N0 PRESSURE. If you are looking for a comfortable buying experience go see Dante Goetz. W e cannot end this review without mentioning the finance department. Jess Parks has a great crew and made sure he shook our hands and said Thank You as we left. More
worst experience in buyin a car ever i gave jake sweeney kia a good review before when we first bought a car cause the salesman dante goetz was a friend of the family but we were mislead i gave jake sweeney kia a good review before when we first bought a car cause the salesman dante goetz was a friend of the family but we were mislead in what we were getting and extras totalying 6,100 extra was taked onto our car and our income was lied about well none of that matters now we didnt get nothing explained to us and we didnt read the fine print or pay to much attention we were just ready to sign papers and get out it was after 11 pm at night so we are at fault for not reading before sighing but the dealer ship is very untruth full slippery with sneaking stuff in without you really realizing it but that being sad i would not recommend jake sweeney kia and if you want to get a overpice job then they are the place for you. after they are done with you they will not take or return your calls i have drove them nuts for weeks and one wants to deal with me very unproffesional business i give jake sweeney kia a big fat "O" they suck More
