I just wanted to express my gratitude towards your service department and Justin Schwierjohann. My husband brought our 2009 Saturn Outlook in because we were having issues with the A/C going out. The repair was going to take 2-3 days so we would need a loaner car. At first, we were told we would only be able to get a full sized car because that's all you had left. The next morning I called Justin and explained to him that we had four children under the age of 6 who are all in booster seats and car seats. Justin was quick to check what was available and found us a Suburban! (Which we are in love with now!) That really let me know that he cared about the safety of my family. When we got our Saturn back, my husband noticed some cosmetic damages and some of the buttons no longer worked. He made Justin aware of the problems and he immediately apologized and had us bring the truck back in to rectify the issues. The Suburban was still available so we took that and waited to hear from Justin. When we got our truck back, it looked great!! The service department gave it a great detail and fixed what they could. The service manager apologized for the damages that were made. I really appreciate that kind of customer service. I just wanted to say thank you! More
I purchased my last two cars from Jake Sweeney, an Impala, then an HHR, both new. I had no problem with the Impala so my experience with the service department was minimal. First I came in to purchase a new rim and I was told I had to turn in the old rim or pay a $50.00 charge. I thought I owned the rims when I bought the car. So I said fine just remove the tire off the rim and you can have it, BUT NO HIS SORRY HINDEND could not get off that stool the whole 5 minutes it would have taken to do that so I had to leave and go all the way back to Middletown and go to my appointment then get the tire off the rim then drive all the way back to Jake Sweeney to get my $50.00 back. RIDICULOUS. Next I came in to have my air conditioner fixed and I was told my warranty would not cover it because I had the car worked on and someone over filled the unit. THAT WAS AN OUTRIGHT LIE. NO ONE WORKED ON THE AIR CONDITIONER BUT JAKE SWEENEY. So that cost me $600.00 dollars out of my pocket. Then I get a call recently from a manager of some sort there who again implies I am a liar. Now I'm wondering if I was not ripped off somehow and the longer I think about it the madder I get. I'm thinking it might be best to talk with an attorney on this matter and see if a possible police report should be filed and/or a possible law suit should be considered. I had let it go and chalked it up to just a bad experience with you people but you keep sending me mail and calling me. THIS YOU HAVE MY WORD ON AND UNLIKE YOU MY WORD IS GOOD I will make it a point to tell everyone, every chance I get what dishonest and despicable in character I think you people are. You were really nice to me until you got my money and I had to deal with your service department. My next new car will be a Ford and Jake Sweeney will NEVER EVER see another penny of my money. My mechanic contacted a manager in the service department after my Cobalt's fuel pump began leaking. They informed him that there was a recall on the fuel pump and that it would be fixed with no charge. Af after my Cobalt's fuel pump began leaking. They informed him that there was a recall on the fuel pump and that it would be fixed with no charge. After having the car towed to the dealership, the service technician called me and said no such recall existed. However, the mechanic had provided the paperwork in the car and the service manager contacted me and once again confirmed that the work would be completed for free, that my car's VIN matched the recall and that it would be completed by today. Today I was contacted by the service manager who stated that my car was not covered in the recall, stated that I Should Have Read the Recall More Closely and that it would cost me $700 for them to fix since the recall is for cars that were purchased and/or registered in other states. When I stated that I would have it towed away rather than paying that extreme price (mechanic can complete the work for half that price) they stated that I would owe them a diagnostic fee... for diagnosing what was already stated when the car arrived. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a service department. The service manager has lied to my face several times and takes no accountability for the promises that he makes. THIS WOULD BE FIXED BY NOW IF THE SERVICE MANAGER HAD NOT LIED TO ME. I cannot believe that any business can succeed with these terrible business practices and lack of accountability. More
Have had my (bought) car for over 5 years and have always had exemplary repair service. Have also leased a second car two times in the past 3 years with Sweeney, and again, have had only positive experiences had exemplary repair service.
