Jessica was very helpful in checking in my car for what I thought was an air conditioning problem. The Service Manager and his assistant were very diligent in checking out the A/C in the car. Turns out that thought was an air conditioning problem. The Service Manager and his assistant were very diligent in checking out the A/C in the car. Turns out that nothing was really wrong with the A/C unit. I appreciate all their efforts in verifying that there is no problem with the A/C system. Thank you very much. More
I went in for an express oil change, it took 90 minutes. They originally said it would take 90 but when I hesitated they said it would be less than that, there was only 1 car in front of me. They also said They originally said it would take 90 but when I hesitated they said it would be less than that, there was only 1 car in front of me. They also said they would call when it was done. I left for 30 minutes and returned, and the truck was not out of the shop. I waited in the waiting room for an hour. No Phone call or notice that it was done. I finally walked up and asked for a status. The keys were there and it was ready. Not sure how long it was ready but I was 30 minutes late for work. Most dealers wash and vacuum your car or truck with an oil change, yet they charge too much. I won't be back. More
CAUTION! !! They're Deceptive and Incompetent! Do NOT do business here! I brought my minivan in because it had a broken lock actuator on the sliding door and !! They're Deceptive and Incompetent! Do NOT do business here! I brought my minivan in because it had a broken lock actuator on the sliding door and wouldn't lock. I purchased and brought in a new lock actuator for them to install, but they said that they recommend replacing both the actuator and latch at the same time, but that they can't sell me only the latch and that I'd have to buy the pair from them and return the actuator I already bought. No problem. 3 days later it's finally "done". I ask whether I should bring cash, a check, or credit card to pay; they told me they don't accept checks but they do accept credit card (but DID NOT bother to mention that they would charge me an ADDITIONAL $50+ to use my credit card until I was already there without $1700+cash and stuck!!) So my wife takes off work on her lunch hour to drive me there to pick it up. They bring it out and luckily I check the door as we're about to leave only to find out that it STILL DOESN'T LOCK! They hold us there another 45 minutes while they 'fix' it again because they 'didn't get something in the right place' the first time. They bring it back out and we go to leave, so I check it again. This time, the door won't stay open!! (This was not part of the original problem - they caused it) So they hold us there another 35 minutes while they 'fix' it again! Now my wife is over an hour late to go back to her job, and we're in a hurry to get her back to work, so I signed the paper, paid the deceptive fee and leave. I get home and find a screw that their mechanic 'forgot' to put back in the actuator lying on the carpet right inside the door! So now I have to drive it all the way back (25 min drive each way) so they can 'fix' it AGAIN!! Also at this time, when I went to file my paperwork, I notice that they charged me for a decorative panel for $192 that I MOST DEFINITELY DID NOT WANT, NOR AGREE TO PURCHASE!!! I bring it back in and the mechanic remembers the screw and takes it apart again and installs it - another half hour or so. I argue with them about the deceptive $192 panel that they added on and they said they add that in to the 'kit' because their mechanic "might" break my original one during removal! (First, when talking to them about what I needed to replace, it was very specific that I only needed the actuator and latch - but there was NEVER ANY MENTION AT ALL that I might need a panel - or I absolutely would have turned that down because I don't need it! Second, if THEIR mechanic breaks something when taking it off, it should be THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to replace it, not mine. (And this panel had already been removed and returned to place TWICE previously by other mechanics without any damage to it, so it's not like it's a disposable part)) But they could not give me the refund that day since their 'system was down' and they would call me back. An uninvolved 'manager' called back a week later to tell me that since I had signed their paper, I agreed to the cost and they would not refund any of it, so I'm welcome to take it up with my credit card company and dispute the charge if I want. Incompetent mechanics and TERRIBLE people and service. STAY AWAY! More
I am having the absolutely horrible experience with their service team. Mike was absolutely ignorant over the phone with me. I originally requested a tune-up and a diagnostic test to see what was wrong with service team. Mike was absolutely ignorant over the phone with me. I originally requested a tune-up and a diagnostic test to see what was wrong with my camaro. They authorized repairs themselves without speaking to me, stating that they called my father because he dropped it off for me. On serveal different occasions I called and gave my contact information. Not once was I called, they took an old number from a previous service from 3 years ago and listed as my current number. Mike is supposed to be an advisor but has no communication skills. He called me everything but my name. And when I got upset he hung up on me. The supervisor Mr. Caldwell didn't take nothing I said seriously. This is a nightmare, I cant trust them while away working to provide any type of decent customer service. How is it legal to work on someone's car when it wasn't approved by the registered owner. They didn't even do the service I requested. Do not endorse them. All I'm getting is excuses why they did what they did instead of an apology. More
I had a scheduled appointment for a RECALL on Monday, service called and said they couldn't even look at it until Wednesday? I asked for a loaner or rental and was told we don't do that. They could care service called and said they couldn't even look at it until Wednesday? I asked for a loaner or rental and was told we don't do that. They could care less. Will NEVER buy another car from them and will let everyone know through social media and word of mouth. More
My first time I had a problem with my used Equinox was when changing a flat for the spare I noticed the rubber sleeve on the end of the shock was worn. I googled how to replace this rubber sleeve and the when changing a flat for the spare I noticed the rubber sleeve on the end of the shock was worn. I googled how to replace this rubber sleeve and the cost of parts was under $50. When I got it to the dealership to replace the tire, I informed the service department about the worn sleeve. In a few minutes, I was handed an estimate in excess of $1000 for completely new shocks. I immediately called xxxxxxxx and called up the how-to repair videos I had viewed on youtube that had a half dozen videos showing how to do this repair yourself as well as being performed by professional mechanics. Faced with some facts, the repair was suddenly covered by warranty. To be honest, I no longer really trust the service department. It feels like an attempt to take advantage of me as a customer. If there wasn't a limited lifetime warranty on the engine and drive train I wouldn't be using them. I am not expecting any type of change from this service department as a result of this review, beyond a few sentences from the manager about "I am concerned about your review" I would love to be proven wrong. I hate having a poor relationship with a dealership that I must use to maintain my warranty. As it stands, the likelihood of me purchasing another vehicle from any Jake Sweeney is slim to none. More
