Do Not Recommend Service During August 2015, my 2008 Range Rover Supercharged was suddenly going into 'limp mode' (wouldn't get out of 3rd gear) periodically when I would trav During August 2015, my 2008 Range Rover Supercharged was suddenly going into 'limp mode' (wouldn't get out of 3rd gear) periodically when I would travel at higher speeds. The easy solution was to turn the car off and turn it back on and the problem would go away . . . for a while. I took my Range Rover to be serviced at Rosenthal Land Rover Tysons Corner, where I bought the vehicle new. Their diagnosis was that the rear differential motor needed to be replaced. Rosenthal also included other related and unrelated suggested repairs (new tires, new brakes, alignment, 90K mile service) for a total of $6,000! Given that my vehicle was no longer on warranty and sticker shock of $6K for a car with less than 45,000 miles, I would seek a second opinion that the rear differential motor was the problem. The rear differential showed no leaking, oil was full and the sound of the rear differential motor seemed fine. Rosenthal returned my car to me but in the meantime fixed a Land Rover recall issue - which I never authorized - and charged me $148.66. We raised our concerns to the corporate office at Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC, given my vehicle had less than 45K miles, that I've been a loyal Range Rover owner for over 10 years and had never experienced any mechanical problems before. Land Rover is in the business of making money, so that didn't get me anywhere except added frustration. I then took my vehicle to a well respected Land Rover specialist, who works solely on Land Rovers. They looked at the rear differential motor and agreed it was in tact. Instead they discovered that the Rear Differential Control Module (RDCM) was fried and needed to be replaced.By replacing the RDCM, this exposed the root cause problem: my vehicle was emitting diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) of P0729, P0730, P0734 and P0735. These DTCs were documented in Land Rover Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #LTB00514 from Jan 17, 2013 as an indication that internal lead free stator bush wear causing loss of pressure on E clutch. The net? Either repairing the unit or replacing the ZF 6HP Automatic Transmission. I chose the latter and the vehicle now runs fine. The folks at the repair shop were awesome: unlike many other service centers they were transparent, they kept me updated throughout the process and treated the car as if it were their own. They used Eriksson Industries that specialize and are authorized in building ZF transmissions which kept my costs at minimum and came with a two-year warranty that is transferrable which is important since I plan to sell my Range Rover and purchase a new vehicle. If you have a Land Rover that is not on warranty and potentially needs service, I would strongly not taking your car to a Land Rover Dealer, and finding a reputable shop like we did! More

I had my choice between four different dealerships in the DC area that were near me. I had had some previous experience with the Tysons Land Rover so I called over to see what the process/cost/timelines would be. I worked with Julianna over email to identify what parts I should order for my car, potential timeframes for the service, and high level estimates of the costs. I travel a lot and being able to work this out over email and brief phone calls made all of the difference in the world. Julianna was prepared, considerate, and followed through on the actions. When I showed up for the service, the staff was efficient, knowledgeable, and very polite. Several of the staff introduced themselves to me and everyone seemed happy. One of the technicians (Robert) stayed late with me to help explain some of the complicated portions of the roof rack (he was heading out when I arrived). Loaner vehicle was clean, full of fuel, and an easy experience. Two days later I decided that one of the items didn't work out the way I thought it would and Julianna worked a return for me within 24 hours. This dealership knows how to treat people. So, catalog in hand, I phoned Julianna Reckendorf (Accessory Specialist/ Event Coordinator for this dealership) on Tuesday. My experience with Julianna and the rest of the Accessories staff couldn't have been more top-shelf. Julianna answered all of my questions on the phone call, and we went back and forth by email as well. In the end, I get nearly all of those I ordered in the same day and Julianna was even nice enough to carry all of them (and some were pretty heavy) to my car for me while I paid at the cashier counter. She braved the 20 degree temps to provide door to door service! Bravo! This dealership keeps exceeding my expectations! More

We have to say that if not for Jerome's patience, competence, and professionalism, our purchase decision and final drive off with this RRS will not be as easy and less stressful. Our first trip to VT proved our purchase to be nothing but great. Friendly sales, but utterly incompetent service team. I had a 2007 Jaguar XKR convertible with 6 months of Select Edition Warranty remaining. During those 6 months, I brought the car into the dealership o had a 2007 Jaguar XKR convertible with 6 months of Select Edition Warranty remaining. During those 6 months, I brought the car into the dealership on three separate occasions, each time complaining about a clicking/popping sound coming from the drivetrain. "No, no! It's just clicking from the brakes. It's normal!" Two months ago the car is out of warranty. So I finally take it to an independent mechanic to diagnose. Turns out it was a bad rear axle, which would have been COVERED under the warranty. Instead I pay somebody else $1200 to do the repair. That repair was done today. Guess what? It's fixed! I should disclose that there were one or two minor issues that were extremely obvious that were successfully repaired by this dealership under warranty (turn signal stalk, and engine oil filler neck). Also, the service advisor Hannane Amanpour was very friendly and professional. I don't know if there is a better dealership in the area for service, because they might all just be as bad as this one. Steer clear. More

Yujin has scheduled my appointments via e-mail or telephone and is always attentive and very responsive. The dealership is clean and quiet. The seating is comfortable and the provided refreshments excellent. There is a television on the wall which always seems to be tuned to MSNBC, but otherwise makes the time go by quickly. The complementary WiFi is slow, however, it is free. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is welcoming overall. My vehicle is always clean and washed when I leave. There are no signs that work was done, except for the movement of the drivers seat and the rear view mirror. I will only service my Jaguar at this location. More
