Whole process was great! I was able to test drive and look at all the cars I felt I needed to. All my questions were answered and explained. Car shopping with 2 young kids is simply not fun, BUT everyon look at all the cars I felt I needed to. All my questions were answered and explained. Prime Volkswagen in Saco was amazing to work with. After preparing lots of research, I called Prime to determine if they still had a specific vehicle to test drive. They did, thankfully, and when I arrived 25 minutes later, it was parked out front and determine if they still had a specific vehicle to test drive. After quickly filling out some paperwork and chatting about what we were looking for, my wife and I were led to the car to take a look at it and jump right in. When we returned, I jumped right on it and numbers were run. It was a very quick (relative to the car buying industry) process from start to finish, and they made it all very easy for me. More

I thought they were great, I was wrong I originally contacted PrimeVW in regards to a 2018 VW GTi S they were selling which I drove a grand total of 520 miles round trip to buy. Upon gettin I originally contacted PrimeVW in regards to a 2018 VW GTi S they were selling which I drove a grand total of 520 miles round trip to buy. Upon getting the vehicle home and doing some research I find that this was sold with a VOIDED warranty as it had been flash tuned and brought back to stock before it was sold. This was not their doing so I cannot fault them for it. They offered a refund or a huge discount on a new car. They offered me a 2019 GTI SE for $5600 under sticker which I thought was amazing. I thought these guys really felt bad and were doing me a huge favor to make up for it. So, I make the same 520 mile round trip drive to bring the other car back and pick up the new vehicle. This was more than I wanted to spend as it was $3300 more than the previous one but due to this awesome deal (or so I thought) how could I pass it up?. After purchasing it I join some social media groups and browse the forums only to start regretting my purchase nearly instantly. I find complaint after complaint of leaking sunroofs, clutches that can't handle stock power and are being replaced in the first 8000 miles on the regular which VW doesn't cover under warranty due to it being a wear and tear item among other issues. Now, this is not the dealers fault but I decided I wanted this vehicle gone. It had a little over 200 miles on it when I got it at the dealer and now is sitting at 1200 miles. I then contact about 9 dealers and other places that buy cars. NONE of them will offer me more than $22,500 for this $34,000 car. I have a dealer showing me all of these used SE's with 100-300 miles on the odometer being dumped at $25k and new ones being sold for $27,000. $1,300 LESS than what I paid thinking I was getting this amazing deal. When in fact I was paying more than other dealers are dumping these junk vehicles for. So now I have driven over 1000 miles and spent almost $30,000 for a car that has somehow lost over a third of its value in under 2 weeks. I understand depreciation but this is absolutely INSANE. So in the end, the dealer made me feel like they were genuinely sorry about all the issues when they really couldn't have cared less and I am sure were happy as xxxx that they got a car off their lot that has sat there for nearly a year and I am the stupid fool that fell for their xx. I should have just taken the refund. More
