This dealership is a rip off and they are low down and dirty they sold me about a twentythousand dollar vehicle, and I barely made it home on it, they asured me everything would be ok, but of course they dirty they sold me about a twentythousand dollar vehicle, and I barely made it home on it, they asured me everything would be ok, but of course they wasn't telling the truth.my car had to be towed back to dealership. For almost the first two weeks my car had to stay at the service department and it is still not right, but they told me that I am stuck with car, because it's my car now, SO MUCH ON IT'S TIME TO LOVE WHAT YOU DRIVE, THE SLOGGAN SHOULD READ IT'S TIME TO GET RIPPED OFF. Something I'm noticing from previous buyers (on this site as well as people I encounter) is that there are problems with the vehicles right after the sale. This is certainly not an "every vehicle" situation, as well as people I encounter) is that there are problems with the vehicles right after the sale. This is certainly not an "every vehicle" situation, but it's enough to consider it an "often" occurance. I purchased a used vehicle and John Doxie was our salesman. He was so friendly, helpful and kind... until we signed the dotted line. When we finally agreed on a price, he left us in his office to go speak with the woman who crunches the numbers. For someone whose done this for so long, he seemed "surprised" everytime a new fee was to be added to our price. Bottom like, we settled on one amount but ended up financing another $2,500. Immediately after our purchase, we were told that the vehicle needed to be inspected and cleaned up and that it would take 1-2 days. Mr. Doxie didn't want to talk to us about the status of our vehicle and when he couldn't avoid our calls, he'd say it would take "one more day". After driving one of their lot cars for SIX days, we were finally able to pick up our vehicle. 2 days later, the vehicle broke down and I had it towed back to Jack Ingram. Jack Ingram paid HALF to have the transmission replaced. Mr. Doxie seemed hesitant to want to loan me a lot vehicle to drive during this time so I went to the service manager and explained my frustration. When I arrived back at the lot to pick up a temporary vehicle, I was handed the keys to some 2-door Kia shoebox that held a horrific odor of smoke and body odor. I told him "No" and that I was angry about all the events leading up to this point and that this temporary vehicle was unacceptable. He said he just didn't think he had another "extra" vehicle and I pointed out ALL the used cars sitting on the lot (the same selection he had from the first time) and asked him to pick one... he did. 4 days later, my vehicle was ready... again. By the end of everything, it had been almost 2 weeks since signing the papers. My vehicle has since been paid off and we are car shopping for another. Not only are we not going back to the Value Lot, but we are avoiding Jack Ingram all together. One bad apple has ruined the whole batch for us. More

I purchased a used vehicle from Jack Ingram Motors in July. I bought the car "as is". When I purchased the car, I was told they had just had it serviced by Campbell's Automotive. They gave the car an "OK July. I bought the car "as is". When I purchased the car, I was told they had just had it serviced by Campbell's Automotive. They gave the car an "OK", so I bought it prior to going to auction. When I purchased the car, a 2003 Nissan Altima, I was told it needed exhaust work. I said that was fine, and proceeded with the deal. I purchased the car on a Wednesday, and was told it would be detailed and I could pick it up on Thursday. I was able to pick the car up the following Monday. When we got the car home, a 15 mile ride, it was smoking. I ordered a new catalytic converter and had it installed that Saturday, along with four new tires and a right rear hub-bearing. That is when I found out that the car had a blown engine. I called to tell them at Jack Ingram and was directed to Tip Thames, sales manager. He was extremely courteous.......AT FIRST. All of a sudden, they wouldn't return any phone calls, or even if I did talk to them, they would try to pacify me by saying, "we will make it as painless as possible." They offered me over 50% less than what I paid for the car. I have not driven it 100 miles!!!!! Painless???They lied! It is now almost the end of August. I went and sat down with David Ingram over two weeks ago. Mr. Ingram assured me that he would call me the next day with a potential solution. I have yet to have a returned phone call OR even an answer when calling. I only asked for my purchase price of the vehicle in return. I said I would eat the rest of the money, ($1947.68) that I invested in this lemon. Now I am an irate customer that will be glad to rent the billboard beside their dealership with a picture of this car smoking saying "PURCHASED AT JACK INGRAM LESS THAN 100 MILES AGO!!!!" BE CAUTIOUS WHEN DEALING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! SINCERELY, MIKE HAFLEY More
My husand and I are a military family. We were living in Hawaii when I first contacted Matt Carter. He stayed in contact with us there and once we moved to Montgomery, Al. He worked very hard trying to fin Hawaii when I first contacted Matt Carter. He stayed in contact with us there and once we moved to Montgomery, Al. He worked very hard trying to find a vehicle that would work for our large family. He was very friendly and worked very fast in completing our requests. They even got us a lower interest rate through their finance department. Matt Carter was so pleasant to deal with. I would buy another vehicle from him. He was absolutely wonderful. More
Sales representative Keith Groves was completely polite and professional. Finanance manager Kara Killough was straightforward and knowledgable. Compared to the last time I purchased a vehicle from a dealer and professional. Finanance manager Kara Killough was straightforward and knowledgable. Compared to the last time I purchased a vehicle from a dealer, this was easy. No push or pressure to change the financing choices I had made adhead-of-time. There was none of the stereotypical attempt to sell useless or overpriced add-ons like Scotchguard, window etching and undercoating. I had a couple minor issues I discovered after the sale. This Jeep was sold with a hardtop and a softtop, and I did not ask to see the softtop before the sale since I thought I understood a different sales rep to say there was a new softtop. The softtop was missing a part and had minor damage, but is in decent condition and the replacement part only cost $60. Was basically a reminder to me that I should always verify what is said, either by seeing it with my own eyes or getting it in writing. I would have bought the vehicle without a softtop anyway, but would have asked for a lower price if I knew I wasn't really getting a new softtop. (New softtops cost at least $400 - $600.) Brakes started squealing after driving 50 miles. (Carfax indicated brake work had been done by dealer before sale.) I took to sales rep and he had their mechanic check it out. The mechanic's fix, which was to make some "hard stops" resolved only temporarily. Sales rep had advised me to contact them if I had further issues with the brake noise, but I opted to go to local Jeep dealer service department instead, because the check engine light came on the next day. The check engine light had cleared by the time I got in with Jeep service department two days later. Also Jeep tech said brakes were non-Mopar and he would be unable to stop the squealing, but that the brakes were fully-functional and safe. I opted to have full $200 brake job done by Jeep anyway, because, just on principle, I don't want squealing brakes when I just purchased a vehicle. I just wanted the issue resolved so I could enjoy my Jeep. Despite these small problems with the vehicle, I am pleased with the purchase and appreciate the pressure-free and gimmick-free professionalism of Groves and Killough. More
