My GMC problems On 7/9/2024 I took my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500, with 35, 000 miles on it, to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet in Flagler. The 5 year 60K drivetrain warranty was still in effect. My specific concerns were 1500, with 35, 000 miles on it, to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet in Flagler. The 5 year 60K drivetrain warranty was still in effect. My specific concerns were that the info center was indicating the front hood latch was open, and it wasn’t, and the transmission was clunking and shifting hard at low speeds and I felt a vibration in the floor at higher speeds. Work was completed to fix the latch issue and I was advised there was nothing wrong with the transmission and they provided me a copy of a bulletin from GM to support the diagnosis. Based on mileage in and out, the vehicle was never test driven at this visit. I have written documentation of all this. Shortly after, on November 25, 2024, with 37,803 miles on the truck, I took it to Hanianan GMC in St Augustine, concerned the transmission was worse. They advised me it was “toast”, black fluid and metal shavings throughout, and needed replacement before driving again. Out of warranty by about 30 days, I argued that the problem clearly existed prior to warranty expiring and should be covered. After some back and forth with the dealer, GMC Customer Assistance, GM Customer Parts help, I got nowhere and was advised if I wanted Hanianan to repair the vehicle I would need to pay $8,300 for a new transmission. I continued to pursue satisfaction via email and phone calls, but got nowhere. After a week or so they advised they transmission was on back order from GM, and before they would order it I needed to pay 100% deposit on the part, approximately $5,300. I have paid this to try and get things moving. Meanwhile, almost 2 months and I’m told the transmission is still back ordered. Despite calls to BBB, contact with GMC and GM customer service the current status is I am to pay for repairs and after completion I should submit a claim, and GM will decide at that time how much if anything they will cover. I am curious as to how folks see this issue. Is this an Out of warranty situation and tough luck for me, suck it up and pay anf move on. OR Is this A car dealer/car mfg. that is unscrupulous and deceitful refusing to honor the warranty. More
I left the service department after paying a ridiculous amount of money on repairs only for it to BREAK DOWN a mile down the road. The service manager came out yelling loudly at me that it was all our faul amount of money on repairs only for it to BREAK DOWN a mile down the road. The service manager came out yelling loudly at me that it was all our fault, and charged me even more to fix the car. He was so demeaning that I literally say in their waiting room in tears with no one coming to speak with me. When I was called about my complain later, Mr. Council told me he would look into it and make it right, but then refused to return any of my contact attempts afterword. I will tell everyone I know not to go there. Belittling women and car repairs that dont last 5 minutes. Terrible. More

The front end of the car was shaking badly at 70-75 mph along with some sputtering to the point I had to pull over and have it towed to Jack Hanania Buick GMC. No check engine light came on. I spoke with Daniel from the service department who ensured me they will take care of it while we were on vacation. After having the car for about four days and no response from anyone I decide to call and check the status of the vehicle. I spoke with a different service advisor and he told me that we had to rebuild the engine on a 2018 Chevy Malibu that have been running fine for the last five years. The service advisor told me the cost to repair the vehicle was $ 14,000. So I said nope I'll take it to another dealership. I loaded the vehicle on a trailer and brought it back to GA to my local dealership. My local dealership did a diagnosis on the vehicle and told me only repairs I needed were tires and an alignment. No issues with the engine, head gaskets, or turbo all which Jack Hanania said needed replacing. Beware of this dealership especially if you are from out of town. More
Took my Tahoe in for a battery drain problem, 4 days later I was told the repair would be $1,000+. After part was put in they told me the problem still existed. I had them take the part out and took i later I was told the repair would be $1,000+. After part was put in they told me the problem still existed. I had them take the part out and took it to palm coast/tom Gibbs Chevrolet and they fixed it for $189 in a couple hours. Jack Hanania told me I also needed brakes and a new battery. Gibbs checked both and they are fine. I spent 4 nights in a hotel with a rental car. the Gibbs technician told me there was a service bulletin out on the problem, which I relayed to Hanania and they told me it did not apply. Turns out that was the problem. Worst experience in 50+ years of driving with Jack Hanania. They still charged me $208 for the analysis which was all wrong. Don't trust these guys. More

During my very first time at this dealership I received very poor customer service today when I went to pick up my GMC Sierra from an oil change appt. While my vehicle was there one of the service members who was working on my vehicle dropped my keys which broke the key fob. When I go to get my vehicle they hand me the keys which were taped with scotch tape to my fob. I then am brought back to the back and was told that well since its its $90 for a new one and it was not a new fob that they will split it with me. This seemed ridiculous considering when I came in my keys and fob were intact and in perfect working condition. More
