What really set them apart from any other Audi service center and makes them the best is I came in on a really bad situation for an engine repair and they was able to resolve the negative situation and turn it into a positive situation within 1 day, no hassle, no wait, no excuses , no mess. So from that alone, no other Audi center has been able to meet that high of a quality level that this service center has done. More
Non qualified Repair michanics - Day time Robbery I had low oil pressure light problem. I took my car to Jack Daniel Audi dealer in Upper Saddle River in NJ. After performing test, I was told that I n I had low oil pressure light problem. I took my car to Jack Daniel Audi dealer in Upper Saddle River in NJ. After performing test, I was told that I need to replace Hood latch switch and can shaft actuator; for which I was quoted price of 850.00 + Tax. (Hood Switch = 220.00, Can shaft Actuator = 126.00. Total parts for 346.00 and if you do math, labor price is $ 504.00. I did my research and bought OEM Audi parts. For installation, I took my car to auto body and they installed hood latch for 40.00 and Cam Shaft Actuator, I installed my self which took only 5 minutes. There is only one screw to unscrew, pop out old unit, pop in new unit and install screw. It took only 5 minutes for me to install. Now if you do math, Jack Daniel quoted me 504.00 for the labor. (850.00-346.00 for parts = 504.00 for labor). Now I want to ask every money conscious person that is this a day time robbery or what? How much cheating going from Jack Daniel Audi dealer? Is there a limit to greed? This is no business ethics. Still my low oil pressure light problem was not solved because dealer is not able to perform accurate diagnose. Story doesn’t stop here. After performing necessary repairs out lined by Jack Daniel, I took my car back to Jack Daniel Audi dealer. I told them to change oil and perform excessive oil burning test. Once again, after performing diagnosis, I was told that I need to replace oil pump which will cost me about $ 1600.00 including parts. I asked service advisor named Fred, that how long will it take to replace oil pump? Fred told me that it will take about 8 hours to replace oil pump which I felt like a lie, cheat and robbery. I took my car back from Jack Daniel and took it to local garage. A repair technician at local Garage, told me that it is not that easy that oil pump will go bad. He was reluctant to replace the oil pump. I told him that this is a dealer recommendation to replace oil pump and I want to do it so that dealer can perform excessive oil burning test. Once again, I bought OEM AUDI parts and paid $ 212.28 and 3 hours of labor at the rate of $ 91.00/hour. Total labor $ 273.00. Now if you add parts and labor on replacing oil pump, which cost me total of 221.28 + 273.00 = 494.28. Now think how much day time robbery is going on with dealer. In my case, dealer price of 1600.00 – 494.28 that I paid for repair. = Total savings of 1105.72. Now I want to know who on the earth will not say that Jack Daniel is doing DAY TIME ROBBERY with their customers. I want all customers to know that when they ask Jack Daniel Audi dealer to perform any kind of repair, they are being cheated and robbed in day time. Be careful. Get 2nd opinion on price. Now I have replaced my oil pump and low oil pressure light is still on, I called my service advisor Fred and told him that I have performed all the necessary repair suggested by Jack Daniel Audi dealer, I have done it and still problem is there. I ask that do repair tech. really knows what they are doing? It looks like they are shooting in Dark and performing TRIAL AND ERROR approach where it cost thousands of dollars to the customer and still there is no solutions. Fred’s answer was Oh well you did not perform your repair at Jack Daniel so he is not responsible for the error on part of Jack Daniel Audi. I ask what if I have performed repair with jack Daniel and still problem would not have solved than what? Fred answered that in that case we need to do more diagnosis. What a rip off? Jack Daniel is not ready to take any responsibility of their non-qualified auto mechanics and dump the blame on customer who did not perform repair at their facility. It looks like they are using excuse of noncertified mechanics who are not capable of performing accurate diagnosis first time and cause more money to customer in repair. More

I checked with real pros and took the car elsewhere to replace the one bulb at half the price of what they wanted for each. Both lights still fine, years later. Different time on my very first change of brake pads they kept insisting that rotors needed replacing. I refused. Those rotors lived through several pad replacements with no issues. Today took the car in for an exhaust issue. Was told, again that BOTH exhaust clamps failed and had to be replaced. How two pieces of metal on different sides of the car fail in the same second? "They're the same age" was the reply I got. Nonsense! Asked them to see where there might be a short as the car drains batteries after sitting idle for a few days. Immediate diagnosis - (a very new) battery failed and must be replaced. Prior battery had same issues. Freddy told me there was a battery "adaptation" needed. When I asked him to explain, he changed topics. It's NOT the battery. Again, sheer incompetence mixed with greed. Finally, I was told that the diagnosis would be around $180, then that changed to $250. When I complained, it went back down to $180 with no explanation. Stay away!!! More
WORST WORST WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!!!!! This saga has been going on for 32 days now, the dealership has my 2018 RS3. Brand new, less than a year old. I brought the car in for 20K service on This saga has been going on for 32 days now, the dealership has my 2018 RS3. Brand new, less than a year old. I brought the car in for 20K service on 7/10/18, after a week long wait I picked it up on 7/17/18. 8 full days. I brought the car home, within a couple days ALL of the oil leaked out, all over my brand new garage that I now have to have cleaned. I brought the car back on 7/24/18....and it is STILL THERE as of today 8/16/18. 24 full days later. The first day I received a call that they didn't have a chance to look at it, the next day they couldn't figure out the oil problem, maybe a valve malfunctioned. I also requested the sunroof to be fixed, because it makes a constant irritating creaking noise every time you go over a bump or open/close the sunroof. After waiting DAYS for parts to be ordered, they cracked the windshield while installing the sunroof. So then I had to wait for that to be ordered, yet to find out the WRONG one was ordered. Last I heard 13 windshields are being shipped from Germany, and they need to find which one is for the RS. I called back yesterday because I haven't heard from anyone, to find out they are still waiting for 3 parts. On top of that, with the 7/10 service I mentioned the black paint on the tailpipes are eroding....apparently they took photos to forward to Audi of America rep....after a month a decision has still not been made if they are going to replace it or not. I know for a fact that other 2018 RS3's have been replaced, and it is a common problem. What's the holdup??? The lack of communication and constantly having to call the dealership to find out what is going on is ridiculous. You have to call and call and call because no one answers and your forwarded to voicemail. Pedro is NEVER at his desk, I've left voicemails and don't get a call back. If you cant service an RS, then you shouldn't sell them. More
