I am greeted by huge pot holes in the parking lot that make my truck bottom out and sheet's of ice every where, no parking spots. The dealership is quiet dirty and run down, I looked into a new vehical purchase the sales manager Todd is a jerk, I also meet with Jack Byrne which himself knows little to nothing about cars and pricing. I had also looked into renting a car at Jack Byrne Ford I was introduced to Mrs Spall a Very Very RUDE and unhelpful person. Both new cars and rental cars can be had at several other Ford dealers for much less money!!!! check it out for yourself!! I did, same new car for $3600 less More
Back in May of 2006, I purchased a 2003 Ford Focus from Jack Byrne. I just wanted to share my experience. I went there with a 1996 Ford Escort. I was looking for a more dependable vech. and of course and a nicer vech. Mr. Byrne took the time to help me pick a great car. I traded my vech. for a beautiful dark gray Focus. I LOVE IT!!!!!! My experience at the dealership was a memorable one: The joy of getting something new and the treatment that I was given. This is my 2nd car, and I purchased the escort @ Latham Ford-(HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!) The sales gentleman along with the sales manager were very unprofessional! and treated me with no respect and to top it off they sold me a LEMON!!!!! I would and have recommended Jack Byrne's dealership!!!! You will love the respect and the fairness you will recieve from the staff and most importantly you will LOVE you new CAR!!!!!!! More
My family has been buying cars from Jack since he was a salesman at Cartwright (speling) Ford in Troy in the 1960's. Jack ALWAYS gives you a fair deal and is kind and courteous. I'm a perfect example of why "(not) everybody likes Jack Byrne." Researched a Taurus wagon online, looked nice, contacted the Internet Sales Dept. When I arrived, I was handed off to one of the floor Jack Byrne." Researched a Taurus wagon online, looked nice, contacted the Internet Sales Dept. When I arrived, I was handed off to one of the floor salespeople ("that's the way we do things," when I asked why), who proved to be absolutely obnoxious. The trade offered for my car was a joke, and the asking price of the Taurus was even worse. I ended up walking out completely disgusted after 40 minutes of wasted time, and bought another Taurus for - literally - thousands less the next day. Unfortunately, I remained on their e-mail list for several months, and finally had to write a letter - and follow it with a nasty phone call - to get them to leave me alone. If you must buy Ford, Latham Motors, Lacy's in Catskill, and Johnson in Kingston are all better - don't waste your time with this bunch! More
I thought I would have to buy an expensive german import to be treated this way but I am so glad I didn't. It is easy to see where the slogan "Everybody Loves Jack Byrne" came from. This dealership really cares about their customers, sales and service. Gary(sales) went out of his way to accomodate my needs and was polite, freindly and proffessional all the time. He totally exceeded my expectations. Kathy and her service dept are equally as awesome. When I did have a problem they sorted it out promptly and perfectly. I could not be happier with my experiences at this dealership. This is my 25th vehicle and it is the 1st time that I have bought the same brand back to back, let alone from the same dealer! I have owned vehicles from 14 different manufacturers and you don't find a dealer like this just anywhere!<br>To Everybody at Jack Byrne THANK YOU and keep up the great work More
