Sold a Broken Car to Service Member Just a week and a half ago, my boyfriend and I visited JT Auto to look at a used Toyota 4Runner (1999) with 165,000 miles. It seemed in good condition Just a week and a half ago, my boyfriend and I visited JT Auto to look at a used Toyota 4Runner (1999) with 165,000 miles. It seemed in good condition, with only minor adjustments that could be fixed. My boyfriend went through with having it inspected by their Toyota Dealership in Sanford and researched the history on CarFax. The report came back with only minor repairs that wouldn't need immediate attention. Toyota then advised my boyfriend that the car would be okay to purchase and the price was accurate for the condition of the car. With a reputable company doing a 27 point inspection on this car and the report coming back more than decent, my boyfriend purchased the vehicle with a down payment and loan. Not even 28 hours after papers were signed, his car broke down on his way home from work. He had driven it a total of three times since leaving the lot. Phone calls were made to JT Auto and the sales rep who sold us the car. He told us that my boyfriend would need to speak with his manager to discuss this issue. The manager's phone number was not given to us until the next day. At this point, the car would not start and we couldn't figure out what was wrong with it after looking at the Toyota report and engine. The manager, Jim Mojica, tells my boyfriend that he will work with him and Toyota to figure out what's wrong. The car is towed to our local Toyota service department (in Fayetteville) and serviced for two days. That's a whole different story in itself because we were told the car would be looked at right away. The following day at 3PM the car was still sitting there untouched. We had to get the service manager involved on this issue too. Upon completion of the maintenance check by Toyota a SECOND time, they said they couldn't find anything wrong except a dead battery. They replace it. Cool, Great! We pick it up and it stalls on our way home. We have a friend who was a mechanic for 12 years come over to take a look and tells us a list of issues within 5 mins of arriving to the house. By the way, this entire timeline has all happened in less than 1 week after purchasing the vehicle. My boyfriend calls JT auto first this this morning and asks to speak to the manager. After discussing the issue once again, my boyfriend says that if they don't comply with paying back his loan, he will get JAG (military attorney) involved. Oh, did I forget to mention that my boyfriend is an Active Army Service Member?! yea, they sold a broken car to a service member. After telling Jim Mojica we are getting an attorney involved, he deliberately hangs up on us! Talk about the worst and most disrespectful customer service I have EVER seen in my life! I thought that these people didn't exist. These people who take advantage of outstanding individuals who choose to sell their perfectly working car for an older more affordable one to try and get out of debt. They say bad things happen to good people, but these things should NEVER happen in the first place! DO NOT BUY FROM JT AUTO. More
Great experience @ J T Auto Mart I recently purchased a 2004 F-150 from these guys. I live in Fayetteville, and think the prices around here are pretty ridiculous. I looked and looked I recently purchased a 2004 F-150 from these guys. I live in Fayetteville, and think the prices around here are pretty ridiculous. I looked and looked until i found what i thought i wanted. I went to Sanford to meet Chris Yates, a sales professional at JT Auto Mart. It was worth the drive! Went in on Sunday, looked at the Tundra that I intended to buy, we both agreed that this particular vehicle did not have my name on it! Chris was very patient, laid back, and absolutely no pressure. After not much back and forth, unlike what i expected, we came to an agreement and finalized the sale. Thanks to the whole team at JT, these guys will treat you right. I would send anyone to see them. Thank you guys for making car shopping an enjoyable experience! More

Scam artists, stay away! I contacted JT Automart on September 20th in regards to a 2003 Infiniti FX45 that they were advertising on a well known automobile site called Autotra I contacted JT Automart on September 20th in regards to a 2003 Infiniti FX45 that they were advertising on a well known automobile site called Autotrader. I talked with a salesman by the name of Jim Soucy. I asked him why there weren't any pictures of the front seats "driver's and passenger" and he responded that the seats were damaged and needed to be replaced or repaired. During our conversation, I voiced concern to Jim that I was worried about what the seats looked like since there were no pictures of them. I was also concerned about the quality of the repair work that was supposedly suppose to be done. Jim told me verbatim "The seats will be replaced with brand new leather. The entire seat is going to be replaced with new leather so that everything matches and the seats will look like brand new. We are not going to do a patch job, everything will be replaced with brand new leather." He told me that someone had used some kind of abrasive cleaner on the leather and it literally melted the leather away from the seat cushion or padding. This inspired confidence in me since it seemed like they were going to do the job correctly. In an email I stated to Jim that "The purchase is contingent on me seeing pictures of the re-leathered seats upon completion." Jim agreed that this was fair and made sense since I obviously shouldn't be expected to be something that I've never seen before. I then gave him my information and he said that my card wouldn't be charged until I seen the pictures of the new seat. This repair took 10 days to complete. During those ten days, I was contacted 4 times by Jim pressuring me to make a full payment and buy the vehicle without seeing the seat and I declined every time. Fast forward to 10 days alter and I got a call saying that the leather was repaired. I received four dark and blurry cell phone camera pictures of the seats from Jim. Upon seeing the seats it was extremely obvious that the entire seat was not recovered. All they did was patch two pieces of the seat cushion with new leather instead of recovering the whole seat which I was told they were going to do. The leather clearly is not the same color as the rest of the seat. The bottom seat cushion has an extreme amount of wear to it and is majorly cracking. The seat looks like it has 130,000 miles on it and not 30,000 miles. This was obviously not what I expected. I called Jim and told him that the seat was not done correctly and wasn't what he said it was going to be. Because of this I did not want to give them a deposit or buy the car from them. Jim said he understood this and they did not repair the entire seat, just one small panel of it. Two days later after this occurred I noticed a $500 charge on my credit card from this company. I called to ask why and was told I was charged because I inconvenienced them. I asked to speak with a manager and was told he was not available. I requested a return call but never got one back. Over the course of three days, I called this business literally 8 times. I left 3 voicemails for the manager to call me back, got no answer when i called, or had someone tell me that "the manager was in a meeting." Finally I got fed up with trying to contact this company which led me to file a complaint here. I never authorized them to charge my credit card. They did so without my authorization. There was no product exchanged and I was wrongfully charged $500. Their advertising and sales practices are deceptive and sneaky. The "manager" seems to be elusive as he will not return my calls and doesn't ever seem to be at the business every time I call. More

They had a Honda Civi When searching the internet for a new car i could use for work i came across JT automart in Sanford NC, a certified USAA dealer. They had a Honda Civic si cheaper then what i could find anywhere else within 150 miles. I called JT auto and set up an appt. When i arrived at the lot there was so many nice cars to choose from. A sales person named James showed me at least 4 different cars because now it was hard just settling for the Civic (which was nice by the way) with so many options in the same price range. James showed me 4 different cars and was patient and professional the whole time even letting me test drive what i wanted to test drive. It took me about 2 hours to finally decide on a much better car than i anticipated! And James did not mind at all! Cool because i'm a bit picky! The Lexus i choose was in my price range with only one previous owner and in pristine condition with a CarFax report. While i went back home to get a spare driver it was cleaned and ready for pick up by the time i returned within a couple of hours. I've been driving my car for a week and i have ZERO complaints! i really got an excellent deal! Terry M. More
