First time customer I live in the KOP area so I usually take my CRV to a dealership in that area. After being unable to turn off my car when I arrived home from work, I f I live in the KOP area so I usually take my CRV to a dealership in that area. After being unable to turn off my car when I arrived home from work, I frantically called the dealership I usually use and received nothing but rudeness and condescending tones. This was not the first time either. My husband was eventually able to get the car off and I hoped it was just a key problem so I used my spare key the next morning. I was on my way to work and when I tried to turn the car off the same problem occurred. I called JL Freed and they were very polite and told me to come right over so they could help me. I pulled into service and the person who takes your car was very polite and understanding as I was now in a frantic state as I was now going to be late for work and just frustrated with the entire situation. Once inside, the service writer, Chris was very helpful. He listened to my rant about what was going on and even came out to check on the car himself. It was a simple fix but he was able to figure out what was going on in 1 minute! (I had a rubber band stuck around my gear shift) He did not make me feel like an idiot as it was something so simple. I also had been having a squeaking sound that the other dealership was unable to diagnose. Chris heard it as I pulled away and came around back and stopped me before I left the property. He again was able to tell me what the noise was and what needed to be done. This entire experience cost me nothing yet they still treated me with the utmost respect and great service! I will absolutely be using them for my service needs in the future! More

My only complaint is the Web; compared to other brands you get virtually no information about the cars in inventory (window sticker should be available online!). Like most folks, I don't have time to drive to every dealer to see how the model I'm interested in is optioned. This is a turn-off for me and why I might be buying my next CR-V somewhere else but would come here for service. More
Horrible Service/Huge Waste of Time Set up an appointment to have warranty work re-done (warped brake rotors), as the problem originally diagnosed and repaired was not resolved. I left my car all day, then received a call at 4:30 pm telling me that the work would not be covered by the warranty this time- "something about the way I drive" was causing the problem. I drive back and forth to work every day- no racing, no high performance driving, just a normal highway commute. Some quick research on line reveals that Honda is aware of the defect in their Accord brake rotors- they are cheaply made and warp easily. I have corrected the problem by purchasing higher quality rotors and replacing them myself. JL Freed should be ashamed of the way they handled this- I won't be going back. More
Excellent service experience I have been taking my Odyssey to Freed for service since I purchased it used 3 years ago. I returned from vacation yesterday to find the "D" light bli I have been taking my Odyssey to Freed for service since I purchased it used 3 years ago. I returned from vacation yesterday to find the "D" light blinking and the check engine light on. The transmission was not shifting correctly either. I secured an appt. online in the morning, dropped the car at 1:15, I was called with an update within an hour by Chris in service who said the diagnosis was a bad wire that needed to be repaired in the automatic transmission solenoid. The service dept had it fixed and I had my car back at 4:30. I took the shuttle home and Bill was the shuttle driver. He was a very friendly person who then picked me up to take me back to the dealership along with 4 other customers who he picked up along the way. He was friendly and engaging with each customer. I was impressed with the professionalism, efficiency and can do attitude of the whole service department, including the shuttle service. They really bailed me out in a tight spot. Great job gentlemen and ladies. More
The Service Dept. lacks professionalism, courtesy and follow-through. Everyone in the dept. acts as if customers are a nuisance. Lucky for them they are the only Honda dealership in the Montgomeryville area, bad for Honda owners. More
People know Honda is a quality product. But even quality products require top notch support and customer service. JL Freed's service dept and David Swinton have made owning our 05 Pilot a very pain free exp products require top notch support and customer service. This was my first visit to JL Freed as I am new to the area. I went there for an inspection and oil change on my 2010 Accord. I was greeted promptly by a very pleasant man in their beautiful service drive through ( it was a rainy day so it was nice that I could pull right in). Their waiting room is quite nice but I decided to check out the new models While I was waiting-everyone was so nice and I got the feeling that they all seemed to enjoy what they were doing- before I knew it the service department was calling me on my cell to say that my car was ready for pickup. It was such a nice surprise as my previous experiences at other dealerships left me waiting much longer than promised. This is a "feel good" dealership in both the sales and service departments that I would highly recommend. There is no question that I will be back for service and I will definitely visit them when it is time for me to get a new car More
JL Freed Honda has the best service department that I have ever dealt with in the 30 plus years I have owned a car. They are courteous, informative and they "hear" the customer with an open mind. I personally request Nick "Tech 31", by far the BEST mechanic I have ever let service my car. Nick has gone above and beyond the traditional Dealer Service department stereotype. He finds the direct problem, fixes it without the customer worrying about being over-charged or charged for unnecessary repairs. I could never say enough about JL Freed Honda Service... Old school honest - fair in price - trustworthy. 170K plus miles on my 2003 Honda Element thanks to Nick Tech 31. When Nick tells me it's time to move on I will return my gratitude by purchasing a new car from JL Freed. 100% Satisfied Customer Chris Chesar More

J.L. Freed is a very customer service oriented dealership. The employees are always friendly and more than willing to help.
