Horrible experience! ! Not long after having it my transmission needed replaced and then the problems went downhill from there. All from brakes to A NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM to ! Not long after having it my transmission needed replaced and then the problems went downhill from there. All from brakes to A NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM to front and back calipers, to the air conditioning going out and the window breaking to where I couldn’t roll down the drivers side window. After all that being replaced so over 2 grand put into the car, it still DID NOT work! So my van sat and I paid 163.00 bi weekly for it to just sit. When I first purchased it, I think I really only drove it a hand full of times. I have small kids and was constantly stranded having to get it towed. I will never recommend anyone to JD BYRIDER. More

They make their money by taking advantage of people who are in a between a rock and a hard place and have little to no choice but to buy a car here. First car I bought here was great. The salesmen were ext are in a between a rock and a hard place and have little to no choice but to buy a car here. First car I bought here was great. The salesmen were extremely nice and patient with me, even staying after hours. Everything was explained to me every step of the way and I still wouldn't have anything negative to say about them and that goes for both times I was there. My first car was a Malibu and I loved it. Had it for a couple months and the front, passenger side tire started making a noise. Two friends of mine, one of which is a mechanic told me that my wheel bearing was going bad and to get it fixed ASAP. It was due for an oil change as well so I call to make an appointment and by this time my abs light is on and service Esc light is on and so I tell him I need an oil change and then tell him I am pretty sure I need the wheel bearing replaced and explain everything to him and he gives me a date and time to bring my car in....almost three weeks out. I asked if there was anything sooner as I felt it was kind of urgent and he said no so I took the appointment. Not long after, I am driving home one night and come to a curve in the road. The road curved to the right and my car stayed straight. The wheel locked up in me and I had no control whatsoever. Thankfully nobody was coming from the opposite direction because I went off the road and the car went airborne, came down on a dirt mound and bounced off of it into a farmers field where it bounced a couple more times and finally stopped. My car was totaled. The fact that my wheel locked up caused this accident which thankfully I had my seatbelt on because not one airbag deployed. When the paramedic arrived she asked me if I was in the car and I told her that I was the driver and she got wide eyed and told me that the way the call came through from dispatch, this was not the scene they were expecting and I just looked at her kind of weird and she said that they were expecting a fatality. WOW!! A day or two later I call their insurance company, who I had insurance through, to file a claim and she tells me that they will send an adjuster out and it could take up to 10 business days and meanwhile I don't get a rental car which should have been covered under the insurance and if not then it should have been covered under the warranty for mechanical failure. A warranty that I was paying $3,000 for didn't do xxxx for me. So I wait and finally get a call that my car was a total loss and they would be able to get me into another car and to come in later that day. I go in and find out that there is close to $7,000 left unpaid on the car that was totaled and that balance would be put in with the new loan. I thought it was a little odd because the car was covered up to $50,000 but I needed a car so that I could keep my job. I do the paperwork for the loan and wait and finally get called back in and finish everything. I didn't get to choose what car I wanted because I had to get a cheaper car due to the fact that I still owed from the first and they took the cheapest car that they had which the tag said $9,000 I believe, but they took it down to $5,000 and added it to previous amount that I still owed and came up with an amount that matched my first loan, give or take a few dollars, and this is what I was stuck with. I was paying $25,000 for a car that was worth about $2,000. Partly my fault due to my credit but seriously?? Since then, my car was repossessed and they have decided not to let me get it back. Perhaps if I never got into the accident and went almost two weeks with no car I wouldn't have missed any work which caused my paycheck to be somewhat less. Its not easy trying to get caught up and back to normal once things get screwed up but I was trying and now thanks to Byrider and $480 I owed that's going to be even harder to do. The guy that repossessed told me that I was dealing with some very shady people. Highway robbery!! More

However, my one star rating is because CNAC in Carmel IN is their in-house finance company and THEY SUCK! I do not know who dropped the ball whether it was the folks at the JD Office or CNAC but I was supposed to be setup for auto pay by the time I left the office which was the day I received my car, and my very first payment I had wasn't paid automatically. I called CNAC the day of my first payment was due regarding my insurance information, and I found out the autopay wasn't setup. So, I also had to take care of the payment over the phone. I had a xxxx of a time getting my vehicle insurance information to CNAC because I was given the wrong email address and fax number. I was told at JD Byrider that I would have to make bi-weekly payments, which was fine. However, there was a day in February that I was scheduled to make a payment five days after a payment was already made. Nothing was said to me at the JD Byrider office about this payment, but it was in the contract agreement. I was told that all payments were two weeks apart. That was my understanding. These people are shady! So, I called CNAC and disputed the charge, and I told them this was NOT what I WAS TOLD! So, they finally agreed to credit back the charge and they extended the payment for two weeks which required a new contract to be written up and for me to sign. They told me that the new contract would be sent to my email and I would have to e-sign it. I never received the email. So, I received a call from CNAC on a Saturday around 4pm regarding that missed payment. I had to remind them of the agreement THEY MADE! The guy that called me wasn't aware of the extension and revision of the contract agreement. So he said he will make sure I get that email by that following Monday. Again, I didn't receive it that Monday. Also, on that same Monday I received a letter in the mail from them and it was a letter stating that I have until March 9th to make that missed payment otherwise my car will be repossessed. This letter was written TWO WEEKS after the new agreement!!!!! Keep in mind that all my other payments were paid and all on time except this one. I was extremely irate at this point. So I called CNAC and demanded them to send the email, and I made sure THEY understood the agreement they made almost three weeks prior! The guy I spoke to said the reason they didn't know was because I had to go to the JD Byrider office and have the new contract written up. That is not what they originally said! They said it would be EMAILED! So, I finally received that xxxx email the next day and I signed it as soon as I got it. Here I am two days later, that payment is due, and the correct amount wasn't setup to be auto paid today. They called me today because the payment didn't go through. This wasn't their fault. I had to get a new debit card because the chip in my original card went bad so they needed the new card information. Good thing, it didn't go through because the wrong amount would have been charged and this payment that was extended wouldn't have been paid on time under the new agreement. So now everything is squared away on that payment. Anyways, CNAC is very unprofessional, they will call you the day of the payment is due if the auto payment doesn't go through. Which is annoying. You have to go through a lot of rigmarole and frustration to get stuff taken care of. They are not honest, they will tell you that they will do something and then they don't do it, and then they will change the story. When that wasn't what they originally said! I DO NOT RECOMMEND JD BYRIDER! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND RUN AWAY FAST! THEY WILL TRY TO SCREW YOU OVER IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE! I WILL NEVER FINANCE A CAR THROUGH THESE PEOPLE EVER AGAIN! More
