I don't see Mercedes on the list of drop downs but that is what I bought . There is no way I could give this dealer anything other than 5 stars. From the moment we walked in to the moment my car was d that is what I bought . There is no way I could give this dealer anything other than 5 stars. From the moment we walked in to the moment my car was delivered everything was brilliant. Mike carver was amazing, really wish all salesman were like him. He was beyond helpful and courteous. If you want to buy a Mercedes or BMW I wouldn't go anywhere but Isringhausen . I'm glad I made the almost 2 hour trip to meet Mike and the team, they made my experience a memorable one. More

In Feb 2013 I purchased a 2010 Porsche Boxster S with 16,900 miles in it from Isringhausen imports in Springfield, IL. I found the car on cars.com. I paid a few thousand more because the car was "Porsc 16,900 miles in it from Isringhausen imports in Springfield, IL. I found the car on cars.com. I paid a few thousand more because the car was "Porsche Certified", well over $50,000. I've owned 5 BMWs, a few Lexii, an Audi, and any number of other cars, most of them new. The Boxster was supposed to be warrented until 2016. Awesome! The purchase went smooth and the car was delivered to my home in New Hampshire in early February. Needless to say I wasn't going to be able to drive it for a while in the snow and ice. I managed to put 3 miles on it until late April, when the roads cleared. Driving around town was fine. Then, on a few isolated roads, I opened it up. Accelerating to just below red line in first gear, I shifted to second, but the clutch wouldn't "grab", the engine revs just sat at around 6500 and the car wasn't accelerating. I found that if I didn't shift quite as fast and let the revs drop to 5000 or below the transmission worked fine. I drove the car a few more times, trying to figure out what was going on. After about 500 miles (mostly highway, with a 370 mile round trip to Maine and a few trips to work and back) I brought the car to Porsche of Nashua, where a certified Porsche technician rode with me. Diagnosis; a worn clutch was slipping. Damage: over $3,000. Not awesome. I called Isringhausen. The first suggestion was that Porsche of Nashua was trying to generate repair business. I ignored that statement. Then I suggested that we put their service department in touch with the technician at Porsche of Nashua. This took over a week. In the meantime, I took another trip to Maine and some other short trips, so now I've put around 1,000 miles on the car, but remember, I reported it almost right away. Isringhausen came back and said "sorry, brakes, tires, and clutch are "wear" items and aren't covered". I pointed out that I couldn't have worn the clutch out in a few hundred miles, they just missed it when they certified the car. They wouldn't budge. Now note, these were the 3 cars I owned before I bought the Boxter: 2007 BMW 650i convertible - 6 speed manual 2004 BMW Z4 3.0i - 6 speed manual 2001 BMW 540i - 6 speed manual I drove those cars a total of almost 80,000 miles with absolutely no transmission problems, but somehow I blew a Porsche clutch in a few hundred miles. So I called Porsche Customer Service, talked to a nice lady who said they would follow up. After the long Memorial Day weekend I received my response; sorry, the dealer won't budge. I asked what they were going to do about it. Her response was "Porsche Certified is a program that we offer to dealers. It is up to them to make it right." IOW, it isn't "Porsche Certified" at all. It's "Dealer Certified". A dealer can sell you anything and if they screw up, you have no recourse. Porsche doesn't back up "Porsche Certified" in any way! BUYER BEWARE! More
I had a very good experience at Isringhausen. I walked in looking for information on a baseline Boxster and walked out with the Boxster S from the showroom. I initially worked with Mike Custer, who was quite looking for information on a baseline Boxster and walked out with the Boxster S from the showroom. I initially worked with Mike Custer, who was quite helpful in answering all my questions. He is very knowledgeable about Porsche and is a good listener. Instead of giving me the hard sell, he listened to my description about what I wanted and then pointed out options for me in ordering a car, locating one in the area of going with the one in the showroom, which had everything I was looking for but was out of my price range (I thought). I was looking for a manual transmission because I have this thing about that. If I'm driving a sports car, I want the experience of shifting the gears and engaging the clutch. It's part of the experience for me--just being more physically engaged in operating such a fine machine. I asked Mike why I was seeing so many that were automatic instead of manual. He explained that the trend was shifting in that the PDK was very efficient and becoming more popular with people who had originally wanted an automatic. I guess I'm a purist, because I still want the 6 speed and that's what I bought. This was just one example of some of the discussions we had about the Boxster. I also asked about the various options, the differences between the two models (S has the larger engine) and how the Boxster compared to other cars in its class such as the BMW Z-4. Mike answered all my questions, and although he was responsive to both my husband and me, he quickly understood that I was the one who wanted the car. He spoke directly to me and was not condescending, which some salespeople in the past have been. I'm a woman buying a Porsche, so at first I was a bit concerned I would be ignored. Archie Sanderson was also very helpful in finishing the sale for us. (He was my husband's salesperson a few years ago. At first we thought he wasn't there so we started out with Mike.) After looking at some potential cars that we could have shipped over, we met with Luke Isringhausen and decided to purchase the car that was in the showroom. He was also professional and courteous, as was the financing person. It didn't take long at all to get the financing through and then I was driving off in my new Boxster S. More
This is an unsolicited review, submitted because I think there must be other customers in Illinois who would appreciate the service and excellence at every level that I have experienced with EVERY visit to there must be other customers in Illinois who would appreciate the service and excellence at every level that I have experienced with EVERY visit to Isringhausen Imports in Springfield, IL. We currently have a Mercedes E350, two Porsches (986S & 997S cab), a Honda S2000, and a Lexus RX300. Isringhausen sets the standard for a dealership, and no other has pleased us to the degree that Isringhausen has. Whether buying or coming in for service, we are consistently greeted with genuine hospitality. Everyone seems to love their jobs there; many have worked there longer than we've been coming (since 2002). We haven't purchased a new (just two used) car there, but can't imagine how we'd be treated any better if we had. Invoices are always explained in detail, any available coupons are added without my having to ask; I appreciate the empathy, accuracy, and value. If I can bring in a little 12-year-old Boxster and leave feeling as if I'm their best customer, that they, too, love my car, and that I have 'friends' keeping my car in good condition, surely you, too, would experience this personal service. I think the people Isringhausen hires become part of their family, that the customer service culture starts at the top and filters down to every single employee. I appreciate the contributions Isringhausen Imports makes to the community, the open houses, the tech sessions for Porsche owners, and the welcome received when 'just browsing'. I love getting to sit among the gorgeous cars while I wait for service or run an errand in a new MB 'loaner'! I appreciate the big jar of chocolates, the Starbucks, the clean restrooms, the great location, the beautiful showrooms, and, of course, the incredible cars ... but, mostly, it's the employees who impress me with the way they do their jobs. I appreciate the way the sales consultants (I used that noun on purpose, as they are great guys to consult with, not just guys to buy from) work together for your convenience and don't act like other 'sales' associates who pounce on you like a target. I like the way Isringhausen employees truly admire their BMW, MB, and Porsche lines. Every time I leave, my car has been properly serviced, the bill is correct/explained, the car is washed/dried and parked for easy departure ... it's always been a positive experience, always satisfying, and stimulating, actually. I love knowing they actually race and participate in Porsche motor sports, that they support the local Porsche club, and that the work they've chosen is also a passion where excellence is expected. Am I overstating? So far, for over a decade, I could have written these words at any time; so far, I have not been disappointed and have learned how to better appreciate my car(s) because of the relationships at Isringhausen. And, remember, I'm a little customer ~ but, I can't imagine how better I'd feel if I had spent any more there. And, I appreciated how nice they were to my youngest son when he brought the Boxster for me. It is a pleasure to recommend Isringhausen! More
