Without a doub this new Island Volkswagen dealership and my saleswoman Ingrid Roosma made it so much fun I had to let everyone know. From walking in and meeting such a Volkswagen "enthusiast" is very unusual. She was quick to recognize my guarded demeanor and made me laugh when she said this is not a visit to the Dentist's office . I really hadn't planned to lease a Jetta GLI but a test drive with her was the best part and I couldn't be happier. I thought my lease numbers would be high but it was perfect for my budget..There wasn't any back and forth running to the different managers that always seems to happen. It was so easy . Once I put my deposit down she gave me money to go next door to a beautiful bakery and have a cafe latte while they prepped my car to drive home.. I love my GLI and would tell anyone looking to get a new Volkswagen to go see Ingrid. I made a new friend in a new friend on Staten island. More

Not Trustworthy and Not convenient The Finance guy was a True Weasel & yes man. Told you what you wanted to hear then completely disregarded what was agreed. I was buying a used Jetta and it had a vracked windshield. I simply said I do not want this repaired I want it replaced. If that can't happen I do not want the car. I was told don't worry. Well that replacement never happened. Liars! Now my Passat is in for service and they can't get a sensor to replace the faulty 1. Very inconvenient to take a car in 2x and loose a 1/2 days pay for a part that should be in stock! To top it off the tire and Rim Insurance we have they have no desire to honor! More

They found the problem, (my gas cap was not sealed properly) ordered the part and took care of it. Steve the service writer could not have been nicer or more professional. The service department is extremely helpful and assisted me in helping understand my new cars. I took me cars in for the 3 month checkup and the staff couldn't be more courteous. All employees at Open Road Volkswagen of Staten Island treat you like a member of their family. I recommended this dealership to my neighbors.
